Read these instructions carefully before use!

• Do not start the oven with the door open as this can cause harmful exposure to microwave radiation. Never attempt to bypass or modify the interlocking system.
• Do not place any objects between the front of the oven and the door. Sealing surfaces must not be covered in dust and cleaning agent residue.
• Do not use the oven if it is damaged. It is very important that the door closes properly and that there is no damage to:
• the door (deformed)
• hinges and catches (broken or loose)
• door seal and contact surfaces

- The oven may only be adjusted or repaired by qualified service personnel.

WARNING!

• The oven requires an adequate flow of air to work correctly. Position the oven so that it has 20 cm of free space above, 10 cm behind and 5 cm on each side. The product's openings must not be covered. Do not remove the feet on the oven.
• Do not use the oven without the glass plate or if the support rollers and the axle are not in the correct position.
• Make sure the power cord is not damaged and that it is not under the oven or on hot surfaces or sharp edges.
  • The plug must be easily accessible so that it can be easily pulled out in an emergency.
• Do not use the oven outdoors.

Earth connection

The appliance must be earthed or grounded. The oven has a power cord with an earth lead and approved, earthed plug. The plug must be plugged into a correctly installed earthed socket. The earth connection reduces the risk of electric shock by diverting electric current in the event of short circuits. We recommend connecting the oven to a separate circuit. Do not connect the oven to a voltage supply that is too high. This can cause injury, fire or other damage to the oven.

• Do not run the oven when empty.
• Do not use the appliance if the cord and/or plug are damaged or if the appliance is not working correctly or if it has been damaged or dropped. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, an authorised service centre or other qualified person to avoid putting safety at risk.

In combination mode, children may only use the oven under the supervision of an adult, as temperatures can become high.

Children may not use the oven without supervision if they have not received appropriate instructions to use the oven in a safe way and understand the risks of using the oven incorrectly.

- Precautions to reduce the risk of fire in the oven:

• Frequently check the oven when you heat food in plastic or paper packaging, as they can catch fire.
• Remove bag sealers from paper and plastic bags before they are placed in the oven.
• If you see smoke coming from the oven, turn it off and pull out the plug. Let the door remain closed to smother any flames.
• Do not use the oven for storage. Do not allow paper, cooking utensils or food to remain in the oven when not in use.

Liquids and food should not be heated in sealed containers, as they may explode.

• A liquid which is heated in the microwave oven can expand substantially after it has been removed from the oven. Handle the liquid container with care.
  • Do not fry food in the oven. Hot oil can damage the oven and utensils and can cause burns.
• Eggs with shell and hard-boiled eggs must not be heated in the microwave oven, as they may explode even after being removed from the microwave oven.
• Food with a thick skin (potatoes, whole courgettes, apples, chestnuts, etc.) should be pierced before cooking in the microwave oven.
• The contents of feeding bottles and baby food jars should be shaken or stirred before serving. Check the temperature to avoid burns.
• Cooking containers may be hot when heat is transferred from the heated food. Oven gloves may be needed when handling the container.
• Check that the container is intended for use in a microwave oven.

Service or repairs that involve removal of the casing, which protects against microwave radiation, can cause injuries and must only be carried out by trained personnel.

Cooking

• Position the food carefully. The thickest part should be closest to the edge of the utensil.
- Check the cooking time. Select the shortest suggested time and then increase this, if necessary. Overcooked food can start to smoke or catch fire.
- Cover food during cooking. This prevents splashing and cooking is more even.
- Turn the food during cooking to reduce the cooking time (e.g. chicken and hamburgers). Large pieces, such as roasts, must be turned at least once.
- Meatballs and similar foods should be stirred halfway through cooking (from the sides to the middle of the utensil and vice versa).

Cookware

• The best cookware material for use in a microwave oven is one that allows the microwaves to pass through the container and heat the food.
• Microwaves cannot pass through metal. Metal containers or dishes with metal edges should not be used.
• Do not use containers made of recycled paper in the microwave. These may contain small metal fragments that can cause sparks and fire.
• Use round or oval dishes instead of square/rectangular dishes, as food in the corners will often be overcooked.
• Narrow strips of aluminium foil can be used to prevent overcooking in such areas. Do not use too much foil and leave a space of about 2.5 cm between the foil and oven walls.

SETTING

A beep is heard every time a button is pressed. A beep sounds when a cooking programme has finished and End is shown on the display. Press a button or open the door to clear the display before choosing another function.

Setting the clock

The clock as a 24-hour display. Press the CLOCK button to check the time during cooking. The time is shown briefly on the display.

EXAMPLE: Follow the instructions below to set the clock to 8.30.

1. Press the CLOCK button.
2. Turn the MENU/TIME knob to set the number 8.
3. Press the CLOCK button once to confirm.
4. Turn the MENU/TIME knob to set the minute number 30.
5. Press the CLOCK button once to confirm.

Cooking in the microwave oven

When you want to cook foods using only microwave energy press the POWER LEVEL button several times to set the cooking power of your microwave. Now use MENU/TIME to set the cooking time. The longest cooking time that can be set is 95 minutes.

1. Follow the instructions below to cook something for ten minutes at 60% power.
2. Press the POWER LEVEL button several times to set the cooking power to 60.
3. Turn MENU/TIME to 10.00.
4. Press the START/QUICK START button.

Cooking with the grill

The longest cooking time that can be set is 95 minutes. The grill is particularly suitable for thin pieces of meat, roasts, chops, kebabs, sausages or chicken pieces. It is also suitable for hot sandwiches and gratins.

Follow the instructions below to grill for 12 minutes.

1. Press the GRILL button.
2. Turn MENU/TIME to 12.00.
3. Press the START/QUICK START button.

Combination 1

The longest cooking time that can be set is 95 minutes. 30% of the complete cooking time is for the microwave oven, 70% for the grill. Used for fish or gratins.

EXAMPLE: Assume you want to set combination 1 to a cooking time of 25 minutes.

1. Press the COMBI button to display CO-1.
2. Turn MENU/TIME to 25.00.
3. Press the START/QUICK START button.

Combination 2

The longest cooking time that can be set is 95 minutes.

55% of the complete cooking time is for the microwave oven, 45% for the grill. Used for puddings, omelettes, baked potatoes and poultry.

EXAMPLE: Assume you want to set combination 2 to a cooking time of 12 minutes.

1. Press the COMBI button to display CO-2.
2. Turn MENU/TIME to 12.00.
3. Press the START/QUICK START button.

Automatic cooking

You do not need to set the cooking power and time for the following foods and cooking methods. Just enter what you want to cook and how much it weighs. The oven starts when you press the START/QUICK START button.

The food may need turning over half way through cooking to ensure it cooks evenly.

Follow the instructions below to cook 400 g of fish.

1. Turn the waiting mode MENU/TIME knob to 6, cooking fish on the Auto Cooking menu.
2. Press the WEIGHT ADJUST button several times to set the right weight.
3. Press the START/QUICK START button.

Presetting

This function allows you to state that a program should start at the specified time.

For example: Follow the instructions below to set a cooking programme to start at 11:30 when the time is 9:00.

1. State the required cooking programme.
2. Press the PRESET button once.
3. Turn the MENU/TIME knob to set the number 11:00.
4. Press the PRESET button once.
5. Turn the MENU/TIME knob to set the number 11:30.
6. Press the START/QUICK START button once.

NOTE! When the function is set, the other buttons are disabled. You can only check the pre-set time by pressing PRESET and cancel using the PAUSE/CANCEL button. The set cooking programme will automatically start at 11.30.

Automatic defrost by weight

You can defrost food in the oven by entering its weight. The time and power for defrosting is set automatically when you set the type of food and weight. The weight can vary between 100 g and 1800 g.

EXAMPLE: Follow the instructions below to defrost 600 g of prawns.

1. Press the PAUSE/CANCEL button.
2. Press the WEIGHT DEFROST button.
3. Press the WEIGHT ADJUST button to set the weight of the food.
4. Press the START/QUICK START button.

NOTE! The oven pauses during defrosting so that you can turn the food to defrost it evenly. Once you have turned the food, press START/QUICK START to continue defrosting.

Quick start

The food is cooked quickly in the oven at full power when you select the Quick Start programme. Press the START/QUICK START button several times to set the cooking time. The oven starts immediately at full power. The longest cooking time that can be set is 10 minutes.

Child lock

Use the child lock so that children cannot use the oven without adult supervision. When the child lock is set, the text CHILD LOCK is displayed and the oven cannot be started.

To set the child lock: Press and hold the PAUSE/CANCEL button for three seconds until a beep is heard and the text LOCK is displayed.

To disable the child lock: Press and hold the PAUSE/CANCEL button for three seconds until a beep is heard and the text LOCK disappears.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Turn off and unplug the oven before cleaning.
• Keep the inside of the oven clean. Remove splashes and liquids with a damp cloth. Use a mild detergent if the oven is very dirty. Avoid using sprays or strong detergents that can cause stains and streaks or dull surfaces on the door.
• Clean the exterior of the oven with a damp cloth. Do not allow water to enter the ventilation openings, as this can damage the oven.
• Wipe both sides of the door and window, the door seals and adjacent parts frequently with a damp cloth to remove stains and splashes. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
• The control panel must not become wet. Clean with a damp cloth. Let the door remain open when the control panel is cleaned, to prevent the oven from starting unintentionally.
• Wipe off with a soft cloth if steam forms on the inside or around the edge of the door. Steam may form when the microwave oven is used in high humidity. This is completely normal.
• Sometimes the glass plate may need to be removed and cleaned. Clean it in warm soapy water or in a dishwasher.
• The ring and base of the oven should be cleaned at regular intervals so that the ring can move freely. Wipe the base of the oven with a mild detergent. The ring can be cleaned in mild soapy water or in a dishwasher. Make sure the ring is refitted correctly in the oven after cleaning.
• Bad odours in the oven are removed using the peel and juice of one lemon mixed with 2.5 dl of water in a microwavable bowl. Cook the bowl in the microwave oven for 5 minutes. Wipe the oven thoroughly with a soft cloth.
• Contact the dealer when the oven light needs replacing.
• The oven should be cleaned regularly and food residues should be removed. If the microwave is not kept clean, the surfaces may degrade. This shortens the life of the product and can cause damage.
• The appliance must not be discarded in household waste, but should be taken to an approved waste disposal facility.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If the oven does not work

• Check that the oven is connected correctly. If it is not, pull the plug from the wall socket, wait 10 seconds and insert the plug again.
• Check that no fuses or breakers have tripped. If they work, you can check the wall socket with another product.
• Check that the control panel is programmed correctly and that the timer is set.
• Check that the door is closed and that the door interlocking system has not been activated. If the door does not close properly the microwave oven will not start.

CONTACT A TECHNICIAN IF THIS DOES NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ADJUST OR REPAIR THE PRODUCT YOURSELF.

Radio interference

Interference on radios, televisions or similar equipment can occur when the microwave oven is used.

To reduce interference:

• Clean the oven door and contact surfaces.
• Move the radio or TV antenna.
• Move the microwave oven in relation to the receiver.
• Move the microwave oven away from the receiver.
  • Plug the microwave into a different circuit than the receiver.
