other than those recommended by the appliance manufacturer – risk of personal injury.
- Check before use that there are no foreign objects in the appliance.
- Never use the appliance for anything other than its intended purpose.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
- Switch off the appliance before changing accessories and before touching moving parts when the appliance is working.
- Handle the blades carefully, especially when taking the blades out of the bowl, when emptying the bowl and when cleaning.

USE
Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all the packaging material. Wipe the blades and wipe the inside of the grinder chamber with a damp, non-fluffing cloth or sponge. The blades are sharp – handle them with care. The transparent lid can be immersed in water to clean it. None of the parts on the appliance can be washed in a dishwasher. Wipe thoroughly dry.
NOTE:
Do not immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid, and do not pour water or any other liquid in the grinder chamber.
USE
- Place the appliance on a stable, level surface.
- Pour no more than 30 g of coffee beans into the grinder chamber.
- Align the taps on the lid to the slot (marked "O") on the motor unit and put the lid on the motor unit.

- Plug in the plug.
- Hold the motor unit firmly in one hand and turn the lid clockwise to the "I" mark with the other hand and hold it there. The appliance starts.
- Release the lid and allow it to return to the "O" position. The appliance stops. To start the appliance again, turn the lid clockwise to the "I" mark and hold it there.
- Check the grinding through the transparent lid.
- Pull out the plug when the coffee has been ground to the preferred fineness.
- Take off the transparent lid and pour out the ground coffee.
NOTE:
Do not run the appliance for more than 30 seconds at once. Allow it to cool for 3 minutes before using it again.
WARNING!
Never take off the lid before all moving parts have completely stopped.
TIP
Coarse grinding
Course grinding is normally suitable for percolators.
Medium coarse grinding
Medium coarse grinding is suitable for coffee makers and espresso machines with a steam function.
Fine grinding
Fine grinding is suitable for espresso machines with an electric pump.
Grinding time
The grinding time depends on your preferred taste and the type of coffee beans.
Amount
For best freshness and taste only grind as much coffee as you need for the brewing. Coffee beans can be stored for up to 2 months in an airtight container in the freezer, and can be ground without thawing first. Residual coffee in the grinding chamber can go bad and affect the taste of newly ground coffee. Clean the grinding chamber, blades and lid after use.
Applications
The appliance can only be used to grind dry, crisp food. It cannot be used to grind moist, sticky or very hard food, such as whole ginger, chocolate or sesame seeds, or oily spices such as cinnamon, cloves or nutmeg. Do not attempt to grind peanuts or cereals such as wheat, rice, oats or dried corn. This type of food can damage the appliance. Never attempt to crush ice with the appliance. You can grind peppercorns, but the strong taste and aroma can affect the taste of ground coffee. It's best to use a separate grinder for peppercorns etc.
MAINTENANCE
CLEANING
- Pull out the plug.
- Wash the lid with water and a mild detergent. Do not wash the lid in a dishwasher. Rinse and wipe dry. Never immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquid, and do not pour water or any other liquid in the grinder chamber.
- Clean the grinding chamber and blades with a dry, non-fluffing cloth. The blades are sharp – handle them with care.
NOTE:
Never immerse the power cord, plug or the motor unit in water or any other liquid – risk of electric shock. Pull out the plug after use.
