MAINTENANCE
SAFETY VALVE (NOT SUPPLIED)
DESIGN
PCU-R 80, 100, 120 has a container and a charge made of stainless steel.
The accumulator tank's/water heater's safety valve sometimes releases a little water after hot water usage. The outer casing is made from painted sheet metal. This is because the cold water, which enters sides of accu-durable plastic.
mulator tank/water heater, expands when heated. The container is designed for a maximum cut-off pressing the pressure to rise and the safety valve is to open bar (0.9 MPa), which is the equivalent to design pressure in compliance with current standards checked, about four times a year, to prevent of 10 kg of carbon (1.0 MPa). Maximum pressure in the char coil is 16 bar (1.6 MPa). The maximum temperature to inspect the valve, open the safety valve manually and check that water ows through the over ow pipe.
If this does not happen then the safety valve. This container is insulated with EPS (environmentally and must be replaced. friendly cellular plastic), which provides good thermal insulation.
EMPTYING
For suspended installations
PCU-R 80, 100, 120 must be equipped with
TRANSPORT
a PCLU-R 80,100, 120 should be transported and stored in the dry.
- Close the incoming ow to the accumulator tank/water heater (connection XL3).
ASSEMBLY
- Open the drain valve (connection XL4).
The accumulator tank/water heater may be installed suspended from a wall or upright.
During draining, air must be let into the accumulator tank/water heater by loosening a hot water connection (XL4) or opening a hot water tap. The area where PCU-R 80, 100, 120 is located mus equipped with oor drainage.
To ensure that the accumulator tank/water heater is supplied completely, a hose or a pipe with an outlet below the lowest level of the water heater must be attached to the drain connection or drain valve.
When installed where there is a risk of frost, the accumulator tank/water heater must be emptied whenever it is not in operation. Freezing could result in the accumulator tank/water heater bursting.
For upright installations
For upright installations, drain the container through the siphon (using hose) in the cold water connection (XL3).
The charge coil is emptied through the siphon (with hose) in the cold water connection (XL9).
SERVICE
For service, contact the installer. Serial number (PF3) (14 digits) and installation date should always be stated.
Only replacement parts supplied by NIBE may be used.

INSTALLATION
PCU-R 80, 100, 120 can be mounted hanging vertically on a at wall with the connections downward, or standing on a base (UL1) with the connections upward
UL3
SUSPENDED INSTALLATION
Use the enclosed suspension brackets (UL2) when hanging on a wall; these are mounted rst (∅8 - 10 screws), see the dimensions diagram and gure below. The accumulator tank/water heater is then mounted on the bracket. The accumulator tank/water heater can now be slid sideways a little, which facilitates installation of the pipes. To secure further, the enclosed securing bracket (UL3) is mounted on the wall against the top of the accumulator tank/water heater as a tip guard, see the gure below. An area of 200 mm free space is required in front of/under the accumulator tank/water heater for service work.

NOTE
For suspended installation, these spacers must be glued onto the water heater to keep it parallel with the wall.

Line drawing of a cylindrical device with internal components and a downward arrow indicator (no text or symbols)If the accumulator tank/hot water heater is installed up-right, the enclosed base (UL1) must be installed as below. It is important for stability that the base ring is pressed in until it touches the inner container.
The door is removed by "lifting" the front edge so that the plastic clips unhook.

INSTALLING SIGNS
In the case of upright installation, the NIBE logo and the product designation sign must be installed as illustrated.

NOTE
The accumulator tank/water heater must filled with water before charging via the coil is started.
Pipe installation must be carried out in accordance current norms and directives.
The accumulator tank/water heater must be tted_500 the requisite valves, such as a safety valve, shut- v_400 valve and non-return valve.
The accumulator tank/water heater must be provided with a mixer valve, which limits the temperature ^200 of outgoing hot water to 60 °C. If this valve is not some other measure must be taken to prevent the of scalding.
Internal support bushes must be tted when a plastic or annealed copper pipe is used. An over ow pipe must be routed from the safety valve to a suitable drain. The overflow pipe must be the same size as the safety valve COU
Route the over ow pipe from the safety valve, sloping along its entire length and ensure that it is frost proof. The mouth of the over ow pipe must be visible and not
placed close to electrical components.

FILLING
Fill the accumulator tank/water heater as follows:
- Open a hot water tap in the system.
-
Open the shut-off valve QM40 on the incoming cold water. This valve must then be fully open during operation.
-
The hot water tap can be shut off when the accumulator tank/water heater is lled, which is when only water comes out of the tap (initially an air-water mixture comes out of the tap).
