The following safety rules must be observed. We do not accept responsibility or warranty claims from material damage or bodily injury arising from use that is not in compliance with these instructions.

The product must be installed, secured if necessary, and used in accordance with the recommendations in this manual and operating instructions in order to avoid damage and danger caused by unstable attachment or improper installation.

If the product was transported in a horizontal position, it should be positioned vertically. Next, you should wait two hours before connecting it. A small amount of oil may have leaked from the cooling circuit, and it needs time to run back to the engine before the product is connected, otherwise it may be damaged.

If the product is on wheels, remember that they are only intended to facilitate small movements.

Do not use them to move the refrigerator across large distances.

Clean the refrigerator for the first time before connecting to the grid. The plug must be pulled out of the socket before carrying out any maintenance. Do not pull the cord to unplug; instead, pull the plug itself out of the socket.

Never place bottles or glass containing liquid in the cooler unless they are only filled to two-thirds: liquid expands in the cooling state, and the container may explode.

Do not use other methods than shown in this guide to speed up defrosting.

Do not use electrical appliances inside the boxes designed to store frozen foods, unless recommended by the manufacturer.

Do not allow children to play with the product, and keep pets away from it. Old appliances must immediately be taken out of use. Pull the plug out of the socket and cut the wire flush with the product. Restrict use of the door or remove it completely to prevent a child or animal from getting locked inside.

In the event of problems that cannot be resolved using our advice (see "Troubleshooting"), please only contact our authorized service centers or an authorized repair professional.

The cooling circuit of the refrigerator contains the refrigerant isobutane (R600a), a natural gas that is not polluting; however, it is flammable. Make sure that none of the cooling circuit components are damaged during transportation and installation. In the event of damage, the cooler/refrigerator must kept away from open flame and any heat or ignition, and the room must be ventilated.

Only after a proper installation that complies with the recommendations given in this manual is it possible to store food under the proper conditions and achieve optimized power consumption.

To limit electricity usage:

• Place the refrigerator in an appropriate place.

• The door must be opened for as short a time as possible. Do not place food that is still warm in the cooler, especially soup or other dishes that emit steam.

• Make sure to keep the product functioning optimally by cleaning the condenser regularly (see "Regular Maintenance Product").

• Check the seals around the door regularly, and make sure that they close properly at all times. If not, contact the service department.

In accordance with the latest environmental protection regulations, this product contains no CFCs. It does, however, contain a cooling gas called R600a. The exact type of gas is clearly stated on the plate located on the inside of the refrigerator at the bottom left.

R600a is a non-polluting gas that does not destroy the ozone layer, and thus does not contribute to the greenhouse effect.

This product may emit trickling sounds. This is normal, and is due to the interplay between compressor oil and refrigerant.

Transport and handling

The refrigerator should always be carefully lifted from the bottom when it is moved. The refrigerator should never be inclined more than 45 degrees. Do not use the handle to lift or support. Never place the refrigerator upside down, horizontally or in a place where it may become stuck. When indoors, move the refrigerator by using the two rear feet with wheels and allowing the refrigerator tilt slightly.

Installation

• Place the refrigerator directly on a firm, flat surface to avoid vibration and noise.
• The appliance should be situated away from heat, direct sunlight, heaters and the like.
• Avoid placing it on balconies, verandas and terraces. High summer heat and strong winter cold can prevent the product from working correctly or even damage it.
• This product is designed to operate optimally at room temperature. This is known as being designated for a certain climate class. This is clearly stated on the label plate located inside the product at the bottom of the left side wall. Above and below these temperatures, the product's performance will be reduced.

• Make sure to keep a distance of 3-5 cm along the sides of the refrigerator and other furniture, or 10 cm if the appliance is installed against a wall, and 10 cm above the refrigerator to ensure good air circulation around the product. Choose a dry, well-ventilated location in a non-corrosive environment.
• Place the product at a suitable distance from the wall using the spacers supplied in the accessories bag. The spacers should be installed behind the product.

When the product is installed, set the legs so that the product is slightly tilted backwards: this will facilitate closing of the door.

Before placing food in the product, it must be cleaned inside and out with baking soda dissolved in water (1 tablespoon of baking soda to 4 liters of water). Do not use alcohol, abrasives or cleaning agents as these may damage the surfaces.

Adjusting the hinge

Occasionally, the door and the panel of the door are not attached to form a straight line. In this case, slightly loosen the screw that holds the cover on the upper hinge. Tighten the screw again and check whether the door seal is fully closed.

Removable handle

Unscrew the handle from the left side and place it on the right. Use the handle to locate the markings for the new holes (2.5 mm diameter) to attach the handle.

If the doors already have holes in both sides:

Remove the plugs which conceal the handle screws and the plugs that conceal the holes in the opposite side. Screw the handle off and place it on the other side. Screw the handle in and insert the plugs in so they hide the screws and holes.

Electrical connection

For security reasons, it is imperative that the following recommendations be observed.

The electrical installation must comply with French standard NF C 15-100, especially regarding grounding.

A 3x2, 5mm single-phase line of 230V connected with:

• A single-phase meter 230V-50Hz
• A differential switch and a fuse (10 or 16A depending on model).

We cannot be held liable for accidents caused by improper electrical installation.

Advice for the electrical installation of the cooling / refrigerator:

• Do not use an extension cord, adapter or power strip.
• Never remove the ground connection.
• The plug must be easily accessible, but outside the reach of children.

Please consult a qualified electrician if you have any questions or concerns.

Clean the refrigerator for the first time before connecting to the grid. The plug must be pulled out of the socket before carrying out any maintenance. Do not pull the cord. Instead, grasp the plug to pull it out of the socket.

If the feed cable is damaged, it must be replaced by technical service or by a person with equivalent qualifications in order to avoid hazards.

The product complies with the European Directive CEE / 73/23 (Low Voltage) and CEE / 89/336 (electromagnetic compatibility) and CEE / 96/57 (energy efficiency) as amended.

Testing

1 Clean the refrigerator with lukewarm water and neutral detergent and then again with clean water. Dry thoroughly.

Note: The refrigerator's electrical components should only be cleaned with a dry cloth.

2 Set the thermostat dial to "3" and turn on the power. The compressor will and the light inside the refrigerator will come on.
3 Close the door. If the temperature in the freezer compartment has declined markedly after 30 minutes, the cooling system is working properly. When the refrigerator has been in operation for some time, the temperature will automatically lower to the level to which the thermostat dial is set.
4 When the above is complete, the test is complete, and the refrigerator is functioning normally.

Temperature control

1 The temperature of the refrigerator and freezer temperature is regulated with a thermostat button located on one side of the refrigerator.
2 Turn the thermostat dial to the right or left to adjust the temperature in the refrigerator.
3 The numbers on the dial are temperature settings and not a precise indication of the temperature in degrees. "0" corresponds to off, and "6" corresponds to the lowest temperature. The temperature is lowered by turning the dial from setting "1" to the setting "7". Set the thermostat dial to the setting that suits your needs.
4 For normal use, the thermostat dial should be turned to "3".

Food storage

Using the freezer compartment

• Add only fresh and cleaned foods like fish and meat to the freezer compartment, so that flavor and nutrients are preserved.
• Food should be wrapped in aluminum foil or airtight containers.
• Do not let frozen foods come into contact with non-frozen foods placed in the freezer compartment.
• If you buy ready frozen food in the stores, it should be transported home and placed in the freezer compartment as soon as possible and stored at room temperature for THE SHORTEST TIME POSSIBLE.

Using the refrigerator

• Prepared foods shall be cooled to room temperature before being placed in the refrigerator.
• Eggs, butter, milk, bottles and the like should be placed in the shelves of the refrigerator door.
• Other foods such. meat, fish and the like can dry out or cause odors. To avoid this, they should be packed in aluminum foil, plastic bags or stored in airtight containers.

Food placement

• Food should not be placed too close together. Allow for air circulation between items.

• Food stored in the refrigerator should be wrapped in clean plastic or suitable paper and distributed on several shelves to avoid emitting taste and smell to other foods and to avoid contamination and dehydration.

• Hot foods should be cooled to room temperature before being placed in the refrigerator. Otherwise, power consumption will increase in the refrigerator and frost may form.

• Never put fresh vegetables or fresh fruit in the freezer compartment as they may be damaged by freezer burn.

Quick-freeze

• The freezer compartment has a quick-freeze function.
• Fresh fish and meat that will be stored for a long time should be quick-frozen.
• Set the thermostat to "7" to quick-freeze. After quick-freezing, return the thermostat dial to the normal setting.

Defrosting

1 When the refrigerator has been running for a long time, the interior surface of the freezer may be covered with frost. This may increase power consumption and reduce cooling capacity. The freezer compartment should be immediately defrosted.
2 When the freezer compartment must be defrosted, turn off the power, open the door and move the frozen food moved to a cool place away from light. Defrost the freezer compartment with a plastic scraper, or allow the frost to melt at room temperature. Then wipe off any remaining ice and water, and turn power back on.

Note: Never use sharp metal tools, as they can damage the refrigerator.

Ordinary maintenance

Before any maintenance, remove the plug from the socket. Do not pull the cord to unplug; instead, pull the plug itself out of the socket.

The refrigerator should be cleaned every over month.

Clean the refrigerator inside and out with a damp, soft cloth.

If the refrigerator is very dirty, it can be cleaned using a soft cloth with a neutral detergent and water, then wiped with a dry cloth.

Leave the door open while the refrigerator is turned off to avoid odors.

Follow the instructions below if the refrigerator has not used for a long time (e.g. after holidays):

Cleaning the product

In order to ensure better hygiene and safe storage of food, it is advisable to clean and disinfect the product regularly.

• Empty the product, and place contents in thermal bags or newspaper in a cool place.
• Clean the product inside and out with baking soda dissolved in water (1 tablespoon to 4 liters of water).
• Use water and non-abrasive cleaners.
• Do not use alcohol, abrasives or cleaning agents as these may damage the surfaces.

• Do not use a steam pressure cleaner. The hot steam can damage the surfaces and the electrical circuits. There is a direct risk of fatal electric shock.

• Rinse with clean water and dry with a cloth.

• Remember to occasionally clean the condenser at the back of the product. Use a dry brush or even a vacuum.
• Remember to clean the freezer drain, which is located at the back, just above the glass.
• Plug the product back in and readjust the temperature as described under "Setting the temperature" if necessary.
• Wait forty-five minutes before placing food back into in the product.

Changing the bulb

If the light does not work, switch off the power at the mains and unplug. Then make sure that the bulb is screwed firmly into the socket. Plug in and turn on the fridge. If the light still does not work, replace the bulb. Purchase a new bulb (E14, max. 15W) from an electrical store. The old bulb should immediately be disposed of in the proper manner.

Normal operation sounds

In order to maintain a constant product temperature, the motor starts at regular intervals. It sounds it makes are ordinary operation sounds, and they will automatically shorten as soon as the product has reached the desired temperature. These include the following sounds:

Small errors/disturbances

Errors may occur with the use of the product. Before contacting the service department, please first check whether you can solve them using the following instructions:

Hum

Derived from the engine. This hum can sometimes be stronger, just when the engine starts.

Gurgling sounds or slight hum

Comes from the coolant which circulates in the product.

There is small click each time the electronics card starts or stops the engine.

Light background noise

If the refrigerator has a fan (depending on model), the air that circulates inside the product will create a light background noise.

Troubleshooting

When you call, you must specify the product's full reference (model, type, serial number).

These numbers are printed on the name plate located on the product. Placement may vary depending on model.

Unusual sounds

• Check if the product legs are correctly set, and that the product is stable.
• Check whether the product is touching the wall.
• Check that all movable parts (chests, shelves, etc.) are arranged as desired.
• Check whether bottles or containers placed in the product are touching.

The refrigerator is not cold enough

• Check if the temperature is set as described in "Setting the temperature".
• If you have just placed a large amount of food in the refrigerator, make sure to adjust the temperature as shown in "Setting the temperature".
• Make sure not to open the refrigerator door too often or leave it open.

The refrigerator does not get cold

• Check whether the power to the electronics card is on.
• Check that the product is plugged into the outlet.
• Check if the mains voltage circuit breaker is off, if has the fuse has blown or has come loose.

If there is frost inside the product

- Make sure not to open the door frequently or leave it open.

The outer sides are hot

- This is normal, as it prevents the misting on the outside of the product.

Water droplets form on the outside of the product

- If there is no heating on in the house (e.g. during the warmer months) and the air in the room is slightly damp, some condensation may occur on the outside of the product. This is not dangerous, and the product is still functioning properly.

There are small water droplets or frost beads on the product's back wall

- This is normal, as this is a particularly cold and damp place in the product, where water drops and frost condense during normal product operation.

It is difficult to open the door

- Slight difficulty opening the door is normal, especially if it has just been closed, as a small amount of negative pressure forms to ensure that the door is completely sealed. Wait a few minutes before re-opening.

The light in the product is off

• Ensure that the power plug is plugged into the outlet.
• Check whether the mains voltage circuit breaker is off, if has the fuse has blown or has come loose.

• Determine whether the bulb is broken, and see "Replacing bulbs".

• If the temperature warning lights (-18 °C, -22 °C, -26 °C) and "On" are flashing, this means that the temperature sensor is faulty. Call for service.

• This symbol shows that the temperature inside the refrigerator is too high. Set the thermostat to a cooler temperature or quick-cool.

The refrigerator is noisy.

- The refrigerator is not perfectly level, or is in contact with the wall. The refrigerator accessories are not correctly fitted.

Unpleasant odors in the refrigerator.

- There is food in the fridge that is not properly wrapped or covered. The refrigerator needs to be cleaned inside.

Any product repair must be carried out:

• Either by your dealer
• Or by a qualified professional who is authorized for this brand.

Changing the door direction

1. Before reversing the door's opening direction, unplug the appliance and remove all food.

2. Using a flat screwdriver pry and remove hinge caps (if appropriate).

3. Using a Phillips screwdriver remove the door upper hinge while holding the door (step. 1).

4. Tilt the appliance (up to 40 degrees) to have sufficient access to the lower hinge (step. 2).

5. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the lower door hinge.

6. Attach the lower hinge on the other side (step. 3).

7. Position the door assembly in such a way so that pin of the lower hinge is aligned with the appropriate hole of the lower door bracket.

8. Attach the middle hinge on the other side of the appliance so that the lower pin of the middle hinge is aligned with the appropriate hole of the upper door bracket. Position the second door assembly so that the upper pin of the middle hinge is aligned with the appropriate hole of the lower door bracket (step 4).*

9. Check that the door is properly aligned with the cabinet.

10. Switch on the appliance as described in the relevant section of its operating instructions.

* This action applies to appliances with both refrigeration and freezer chambers.
