The LEICA DM2500 microscope does not have a direct video output. To view the image on an external screen, you need to install a compatible digital camera on the microscope, and then connect this camera to your screen.

Required equipment: A trinocular eyepiece (trinocular phototube) must be mounted on the DM2500. The LEICA DM2500 can be equipped with ergonomic trinocular phototubes with 50/50 or 100/100 configurations, which means you can split the image between two observation eyepieces and a camera output. A specialized digital camera for microscopes (not an ordinary webcam) can then be mounted on this camera output.

Connection steps: Install the trinocular eyepiece by securely attaching it to the microscope. Mount the compatible digital camera on the designated adapter of the phototube. Then connect the camera to your screen or computer via the appropriate cable (HDMI, USB-C, DisplayPort depending on the camera model). Turn on the screen and configure it to receive the video signal from the camera.

Settings: Use the remaining eyepieces of the trinocular tube to observe the specimen directly through the microscope. Adjust the focus using the focus buttons on the DM2500. Configure the brightness, contrast, and resolution via the camera software on your computer to optimize the quality of the image displayed on the screen. The Leica Image Organizer software can be used to archive, search, and manage captured images.
