IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions carefully.
- Before using the unit, check if the voltage indicated corresponds with the convenience outlet (230 Va.c.)
- Before using the unit, move it two to four inches away from the wall. Remove any object that may have been on top of the unit.
- Do not use any appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord is damaged it should be replaced with the same type and size or bring the unit to the nearest authorized service center.
- Do not use two-way socket with another appliance.
- Do not touch hot surfaces, use handles or knobs.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- Do not use accessories not recommended or sold with this unit.
- Do not place on or near gas stove, electric burner or in a heated oven.
- Keep curtains, furniture, flammable materials, etc. away from the unit and from the convenience outlet where the unit is plugged.
- Extreme caution must be taken in moving an appliance containing hot oil or liquids.
- Do not use this unit for other than intended use.
- Do not use metal scouring in cleaning the unit.
- CAUTION: Never leave the unit unattended while cooking.
- To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the unit in water.
- Save this instruction for future reference.

DESCRIPTION OF PARTS

ASSEMBLY
- Place the unit on a flat stable surface.
- Place the Water & Oil Drip Tray on the bottom of the Cool Touch Base.
- Place the Teflex Grill Plate on top of the Cool Touch Base. Be sure that the Teflex Grill Plate is properly fixed on the Cool Touch Base so that the power will go on when the unit is turned ON.
- Insert the Thermostat Control on the Teflex Grill Plate.
HOW TO USE
- Plug into the convenience outlet.
- Pour water on the Water & Oil Drip Tray to reduce smoke while cooking. Do not pour water on the heating element.
- Adjust the Thermostat Control for different type of cooking requirements.
NOTE: For initial use, some smoke may be observed when the unit is turned ON, this is normal.
- Cooking time depends on type and the amount of food that is going to cook.

RECIPES
Herb-Rubbed Steak
SEASONING
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
12 cup finely dried, crushed herbs (basil, oregano, rosemary, or thyme leaves)
14 teaspoon ground black pepper
Meat:
1-2 lbs. Boneless beef sirloin steak
DIRECTIONS:
- Mix seasoning in a small bowl.
- Evenly rub the seasoning mixture onto both sides of meat.
- Place steak on preheated grill, at 350F. Cook for approximately 5-10 minutes on each side.
Teriyaki Chicken Kabobs
MARINADE:
12 cup soy sauce
14 cup sherry
^3/_4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 garlic clove, pressed
12 teaspoon chopped green onions
Meat and Vegetables:
Approximately 2 lbs. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 red breast
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
1 red onion
1 Can pineapple chunks
DIRECTIONS:
Mix ingredients for marinade together.
Cut chicken, red onion and bell peppers into approximately 1-inch squares.
Marinade chicken for at least 30 minutes.
Soak bamboo or wooden skewers in water at least 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
Place chicken and vegetables on skewers.
Place skewers on preheated grill, at 350F. Cook for approximately 25 minutes, rotating frequently.
Salmon with Herbs
SEASONING:
2 tablespoons finely chopped shallots
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 / 4 teaspoon thyme
12 teaspoon tarragon
14 tablespoon basil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
6 tablespoons butter salt and pepper
Meat:
2 Salmon steaks
DIRECTIONS:
- Melt the butter and sauce the shallots until tender.
- Add thyme, tarragon, basil, and lemon juice.
- Brush the steaks with the herb butter and sprinkle with parsley.
- Place salmon steaks on preheated grill, at 300F. Cook for approximately 5-7 minutes each side.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Turn OFF the Thermostat Control and unplug from the convenience outlet.
- Allow the unit to cool before putting ON or taking OFF parts and before cleaning.
- Remove the Thermostat Control from the unit.
- Teflex Grill Plate, Water & Oil Drip Tray and Cool Touch Base are washable with soap and water.
- Do not use abrasive materials to avoid scratches.
- Do not immerse the Thermostat Control in water.
