When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Extreme caution must be taken in moving an appliance containing hot oil or liquids.

Make sure that the unit is unplugged before replacing or removing any of its parts or accessories.

DESCRIPTION OF PARTS:

HOW TO ASSEMBLE:
- Place the unit on a flat stable surface.
- Place the oil drip tray on the bottom of the cool-touch base
- Place the grill plate on top of the cool-touch base. Be sure that the grill plate is properly fixed on the cool-touch base.
Note: If the grill plate is not properly placed into the base unit, the unit will not work.
- Insert the temperature control on the plate socket.
Note: Make sure that it is set to "OFF" position before inserting the temperature control into the plate socket.
HOW TO USE:
- Assemble the unit (please refer to 'HOW TO ASSEMBLE').
- For initial use, it is normal to observe some smoke when the unit is turned ON.
- Plug into the convenience outlet.
- Lift up the grill plate and pour water on the water/oil drip tray to reduce smoke while cooking.
Note: Do not pour water on the heating element.
- Adjust the temperature control to the desired cooking temperature.
Note: For best cooking result, kindly use medium to low heat to avoid burnt food, a very high temperatures can also cause discoloration and shorten the life span of any plate surface. If higher temperatures are necessary, preheat on medium heat for a few minutes.
- Put the food on the grill plate and place the cover if needed.
Note: Do not touch the grill plate when cooking, grill plate gets very hot and may cause burn or injuries.
- Turn OFF after every use.
Note: It is normal that the thermostat light indicator will turn on and off. The light indicator turns on when it needs to reach the desired temperature and turns off when it reaches the desired temperature set.

Note: Cooking time may vary on type and the amount of food to be cooked.
RECIPES:
Herb-Rubbed Steak
Seasoning:
3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
12 cup crushed herbs (basil, oregano, rosemary, or thyme leaves) finely dried,
^1/_4 tsp ground black pepper
1-2 lbs. Boneless beef sirloin steak
Directions:
- Mix all ingredients together except Boneless beef sirloin steak.
- Evenly rub the mixture on both sides of meat.
- Preheat the unit at 190^ C and cook for approximately 5-10 minutes on each side.
Teriyaki Chicken Kabobs
Marinade:
12 cup soy sauce
14 cup sherry
^3/_4 cup brown sugar
2 tbsps vegetable oil
1 clove garlic, pressed
12 tsp chopped green onions
Chicken Meat & Vegetable:
2 lbs. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 pc. red bell pepper
1 pc. green bell pepper
1 pc. red onion
1 can pineapple chunks
Directions:
- Mix ingredients for marinade together.
- Cut chicken, red onion and bell peppers into approximately 1-inch squares.
- Marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes.
- Soak bamboo or wooden skewers in water at least 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
- Place chicken and vegetables on skewers.
- Place skewers on preheated grill, at 190^ C.
- Cook for approximately 25 minutes, rotating frequently.
Salmon with Herbs
2 tbsps finely chopped shallots
1 tbsp chopped parsley
1 / 4 tsp thyme
12 tsp tarragon
1 / 4 tbsp basil
1 tbsp lemon juice
6 tbsps butter salt and pepper
2 pcs Salmon steaks
Directions:
- In a Saucepan, melt butter and saute shallots until tender.
- Add thyme, tarragon, basil, and lemon juice.
- Brush the steaks with the herb butter and sprinkle with parsley.
- Place salmon steaks on preheated grill, at 190^ C. Cook for approximately 5-7 minutes each side.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:
- Turn OFF the temperature control and unplug from the convenience outlet after every use.
- Allow the unit to cool down before replacing or removing parts and before cleaning.
- Remove the temperature control from the plate socket.
- Wipe the grill plate with paper towels or soft cloth.
- Water/oil drip tray, tempered glass cover and cool-touch base are washable with soap and water.
- Do not use abrasive materials to avoid scratches.
- Do not immerse the grill plate and temperature control in water or any other liquids.
