How to insert the battery and memory card?

Open the compartment at the bottom of the camera. Insert the SLB-11A lithium-ion battery with the Samsung logo facing up. Insert the memory card (SD or SDHC) with the chip facing up, then close the cover. To remove the card, press gently until it ejects.

How to charge the battery of the Samsung WB5000?

Use the included charger. Connect the USB/DC cable to the camera and connect the charger to a wall outlet. The indicator light is red during charging and turns green when the battery is fully charged.

How to set the date and language on first startup?

Press [POWER] to turn on the camera. Use the directional buttons to select the language (Language) with [OK], then set the time zone (Time Zone) and date/time (Date & Time) following the on-screen instructions.

How to take a photo in automatic mode?

Turn the mode dial to P (program). Frame your subject and press the shutter button halfway to focus (a green frame confirms focus). Then press fully to take the photo.

How to record a video with the WB5000?

Turn the mode dial to video mode (camera icon). Frame your subject and press the shutter button to start recording. Press the shutter button again to stop. Video resolution depends on settings.

How to view recorded photos and videos?

Press the [O] button (playback mode). Use the [4] or [5] buttons to browse files. To play a video, press [OK] and control playback with the buttons: [<] rewind, [>] fast forward, [OK] pause/resume, and zoom lever for volume.

How to transfer files to a Windows computer?

Insert the included CD-ROM and install the drivers (or let Windows detect them). Connect the turned-off camera to the PC via USB cable, then turn on the camera. On the PC, go to My Computer > Removable Disk > DCIM > 100PHOTO to copy files. Safely disconnect the camera before unplugging.

What types of memory cards can I use?

The Samsung WB5000 accepts SD cards (up to 4 GB) and SDHC cards (up to 8 GB). There is also about 20 MB of internal memory, but it is recommended to use an external card for storing more photos and videos.

How to clean the lens and screen?

Use a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the lens and LCD screen. Never use chemical products, solvents, or abrasive wipes. Protect the camera from dust and moisture.

What to do if the flash does not work?

Protect batteries, chargers, and memory cards from damage
