How do I set the clock on my Logik LCRLI13?

Safety Warnings

Mains Power

Before using, connect the power cable of the supplied mains adapter (included) to the DC 5.9V socket at the rear of the unit and to the mains socket.

Memory Backup

This unit incorporates a battery back up circuit that will keep the clock running in the event of a temporary power interruption. The clock will not be displayed.

Insert 2 X AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located at the bottom of the unit.

For best results, replace with fresh batteries every 9 to 12 months.

Handling the Battery

- Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could cause fire, personal injury or damage to property.

• Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and -) indications in the battery compartment.

- Only use the battery type indicated in this manual.

- Do not install new batteries with used ones and do not mix different types of batteries.

- Do not dispose of the used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in accordance with local regulations.

- If you are not going to use the unit for a long time, remove the batteries to avoid damage from battery leakage and corrosion.

Each enabled stage will be cleared in approximately 8 seconds if you do not press any button.

Powering ON/OFF

When you first connect the unit to the mains socket, the unit will be in standby mode.

  • Press the ⏻ STANDBY button to switch the unit on.
  • Press and hold the ⏻ STANDBY button to switch the unit back to standby mode.
  • Disconnect the power cable of the mains adapter from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit off completely.

Selecting Modes

  1. Press the ⏻ STANDBY button to switch the unit on.
  2. Press the ⏻ STANDBY button repeatedly to switch modes (AUX, iPod, or RADIO).

Adjusting the Volume

Press the VOLUME +/- button to increase/decrease the volume.

Setting the Clock

  1. In standby mode, press the TIME button, the hour digits will flash in the display.
  2. Press the ◀◀▶▶ buttons to adjust the hour digits and then press the TIME button to adjust the minute digits.
  3. Press the ◀◀▶▶I buttons to adjust the minute digits and then press the TIME button to confirm the clock setting.

Setting the Alarm

  1. In standby mode, press ALARM 1 or 2, the display will brighten and the " ☎1 " or " ☎2 " indicators will light, the word BUZZER will flash in the display.
  2. Press the ◄◀◀▶I buttons to select which mode you want to wake up to (Buzzer, radio or iPod) then press ALARM 1 or 2 depending which alarm you are setting.
  3. Press the ◀◀◀▶I buttons to adjust the hour digits and then press ALARM 1 or 2 to set the hours, the minutes will start to flash.
  4. Press the ◄◀◀◀I buttons to adjust the minute digits and then press ALARM 1 or 2 to set the minutes, the alarm is now set. The unit will switch back to clock mode. The “” or “” indicators will light up in the display to indicate the alarm is set.

  • If RADIO/iPOD is selected as the alarm mode, make sure the volume is set to a level that can wake you up.
  • If iPOD is selected as the alarm mode but your iPod is not connected to the iPod clock radio, it will automatically switch to BUZZER for the alarm mode.

Cancelling the Alarm

  1. To cancel the ALARM in standby press ALARM 1 or 2, the "€1" or "€2" indicators will disappear in the display.
  2. Press ALARM 1 or 2 again to reactivate the alarm using the previous setting.

Snooze Function

  1. Press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button when the RADIO, iPod or Buzzer alarm sounds. The snooze indicator "SNOOZE/SLEEP" will show in the display. The alarm will go off and will then sound again in approximately 8 minutes.

Switching the Alarm Off

  1. To turn off the alarm, press the ⏻ STANDBY button when the RADIO, iPod or Buzzer alarm sounds. The “ 1 ” and/or “ 2 ” indicators will still show in the display and the alarm function will still be active the next day.

Sleep Timer Function

This function automatically switches the unit to standby mode after the preset time has elapsed, allowing you to fall asleep while listening to music.

  1. To activate the sleep timer function, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button repeatedly to select the sleep time (in minutes). It will change in the following sequence with every press:

  1. When the display shows your desired sleep time, release the button. The "SLEEP" indicator will show in the display to indicate that the sleep timer function is activated. The time begins to count down from the number of minutes selected.
  2. To cancel the sleep timer function, press the SNOOZE/SLEEP button repeatedly until "00" shows in the display. The "SLEEP" indicator will turn off in the display.

AUX Operation

  1. Before connecting to the mains socket, use the audio LINE IN cable to connect your audio device through its AUX IN socket at the rear of the unit.
  2. Connect the power cable of the supplied mains adapter into the DC 5.9V socket at the rear of the unit and to the mains socket. The unit will be in standby mode.
  3. Press the ⏻ STANDBY button to switch the unit on.
  4. To select the AUX mode, press the ⏻ STANDBY button repeatedly to switch modes until the "AUX" shows in the display.
  5. In AUX mode, you may operate your audio device directly for playback features. You may need to adjust the volume on the AUX device as well as your unit.

iPod/iPhone Operation

Your unit will work with the following: iPhone 5, ipod touch (5th generation) and ipod nano (7th generation).

  1. In standby mode, carefully connect your iPod/iPhone to the iPod dock.
  2. Press the ⏻ STANDBY button to switch the unit on.
  3. To select iPod mode, press the ⏻ STANDBY button repeatedly to switch modes until "iPod" shows in the display.
  4. In iPod mode, press the 📋 button to start music playback from your iPod.
  5. While playing music, you can:

  7. Press the button to skip to previous/next track.
  8. Press and hold the button to search forwards/backwards through the current track.
  9. Press the VOLUME+ or VOLUME- button to increase/decrease the volume.

You may still operate your iPod/iPhone directly with its iPod/iPhone menu to access other features.

Charging the iPod/iPhone

Your iPod/iPhone has a built-in rechargeable battery. The battery is charged automatically whenever the iPod/iPhone is connected to the iPod dock in standby, AUX, iPod or radio mode.

  • If you charge the iPod while playing music, it may take longer than usual.
  • It is not recommended to charge your iPod/iPhone in radio mode as it may interfere with the reception.

Radio Operation

  1. In standby mode, press the ⏻ STANDBY button to switch the unit on.
  2. To select the radio mode, press the ⏻ STANDBY button repeatedly to switch modes until the "RADIO" shows in the display.
  3. Make sure the FM aerial wire located at the rear of the unit is unwound and extended to its full length. You may need to adjust its position and direction until you reach a position that provides the best reception for your favourite FM stations.

Manual Tuning

  1. In radio mode, press TUNE+/- buttons until you reach the desired frequency or the reception is at its best.

Automatic Tuning

  1. In radio mode, press and hold the TUNE+/- buttons until the unit starts to search up or down the frequency band. The tuner will automatically search for the first station of sufficient signal strength.
  2. Repeat the above step if you wish to select another station.

Programming Preset Stations

Your unit can store up to 10 radio stations in its memory.

  1. After you have tuned to your desired station in radio mode, press and hold the PRESETS P button. The display will flash and memory indicator will show in the display.
  2. Press the TUNE+/- buttons repeatedly to select the preset station number. The display will first show "0" and then flash.
  3. When your desired preset station number appears, press the PRESETS P button to confirm your selection. The current station will then be stored in your preset number.
  4. Repeat the above steps to programme more preset stations or to overwrite a stored preset station.
