Safety Warnings

  1. Connect the mains plug to the mains socket and switch on at the socket. The display will start to flash.

  2. To switch the unit off completely, un-plug from the mains socket.

Install the unit near a mains socket where the mains adapter can be easily reached.

Memory Backup

This unit incorporates a battery back up circuit that will keep the clock running, alarms and radio stations that have been set in the memory in the event of a temporary power interruption.

  1. Insert a 2 x AAA batteries (not included) into the battery compartment located at the bottom of the unit. Make sure to match the (+) and (-) ends of the batteries with the (+) and (-) ends indicated in the battery compartment.

  • You cannot listen to the radio with battery power.
    • The time will not be displayed when using the back up battery power.

Handling the Batteries

  • Improper or incorrect use of batteries may cause corrosion or battery leakage, which could cause personal injury or damage to property.
  • Install the battery correctly by following the polarity (+ and -) indications in the battery compartment.
  • Use only the types of the batteries which are indicated in this manual.
  • Do not dispose of the used batteries as domestic waste. Dispose of them in accordance with local regulations.
  • Do not expose the battery to direct sunlight or sources of excessive heat.
  • If you are not going to use the unit for a long time, remove the battery to avoid damage from battery leakage and corrosion.

General Operation

Switching the Radio ON/OFF

  • Press the POWER/FUNC button to select FM radio, press again to select AM radio.
  • Press and hold the POWER/FUNC to switch the radio off.
  • Disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket if you want to switch the unit off completely.

Adjusting Volume

Press the AL1/VOL- button to reduce the volume and the AL2/VOL + button to increase the volume.

Setting the Clock

  1. If you have just plugged the unit in the display will be flashing. If the display isn't flashing press and hold the MEM/SET button until the display flashes.
  2. Press the HOUR/- button to set the hours, remember the clock is a 24 hour clock.
  3. Press the MIN/+ button to set the minutes. Press and hold the button to quickly change the minutes.

  1. Press and hold the AL1/VOL- button until the display starts to flash.
  2. Press the HOUR/- and MIN/+ to set the time that you want the alarm to switch on.
  3. After setting the alarm time you can select the alarm to switch on with a buzz or the radio. Contunually press the AL1/VOL- until the LED lights next to AL1 BUZZ or AL1 RADIO.

  1. Press and hold the AL2/VOL+ button until the display starts to flash.

Turning the Alarm ON/OFF

  1. Press the AL1/VOL- or AL2/VOL+ buttons. When the LED is lit the alarm is ON and when its not lit the alarm is OFF. Continually pressing the alarm buttons will scroll through the alarm setting. Alarm OFF (LED off) - Alarm on (Buzz LED on) - Alarm on (Radio LED on).

Switching the Alarm OFF Once it Sounds

The alarm will sound (either buzzer or radio) for 60 minutes then automatically switch off, if no buttons are pressed.

• To switch the alarm off when it sounds press the POWER/FUNC button or the corresponding alarm button (AL1 or AL2).

Snooze Function

Press the SLEEP/SNOOZE button when the RADIO or BUZZER sounds. The alarm will go off and will then sound again in approximately 9 minutes. You can keep snoozing the alarm until the alarm is switched off.

Changing the Brightness of the Display

Press the DIMMER button to adjust the brightness level of the display. It has two settings dim or bright.

Sleep Timer Setting

You can set your unit to switch off after a set time with the Sleep function. So if you are listening to the radio and fall asleep your radio will automatically switch into standby when the set time has elapsed.

- When listening to the radio press the SLEEP/SNOOZE button the number 90 will appear in the display. The radio will now count down and switch off after 90 minutes. If you want to see the remaining sleep time at any point, press the SLEEP/SNOOZE button and the time will be displayed.

- Continually press the SLEEP/SNOOZE button to decrease the sleep timer. 90 - 80 -70 - 60 - 50 - 40 - 30 - 20 - 10 - OFF

• To switch the sleep time off press the SLEEP/SNOOZE button until the word OFF is displayed.

Listening to the Radio

Your clock radio has AM and FM radio. To receive the best reception fully extend the aerial cable.

  1. Press the POWER/FUNC button to select either AM or FM radio.
  2. To tune in a radio station press the HOUR/- or MIN/+ buttons. If you hold the buttons down for a second it will automatically find the next available radio station.

Saving a Radio Station

You can save 10 AM and 10 FM radio stations in your clock radios memory.

  1. Tune to the radio station that you want to save.
  2. Press the MEM/SET button the display will flash. While the display is flashing press the MEM/SET button again and the radio station will be stored. The radio stations are stored from position 01 - 10.

  1. First select AM or FM radio by pressing the POWER/FUNC button.
  2. Press the MEM+ button until the preset number is of your required station appears in the display.

Poor FM reception • Make surethe FM aerial wire is fully extended.• Electrical interference in your home can cause poor reception. Move the unit away from them (especially those with motors and transformers).
Poor AM reception • Rotate theunit horizontally until the orientation with best reception is found.
Clock does not show the correct time.• There has been a power cut and you haven’t installed any batteries, or the batteries are flat.• Insert 2 x AAA batteries into the clock radio, this will keep the time in the event of a power cut.
Alarm does not come on at the preset time• Check the current time set correctly, remember this is a 24 hour clock.• Is the alarm set to the correct time?
