Frequently Asked Questions - LBFANX10 Logik

How do I preheat the Logik LBFANX10 oven?
Turn the function selector to the desired mode and set the temperature using the control knob or digital panel. Wait until the indicator light turns off, which signals that the oven has reached the set temperature. Preheating typically takes 10-15 minutes.
Can I use aluminum foil in the oven?
Yes, you can use aluminum foil, but avoid covering the entire rack to ensure proper heat circulation. Do not allow foil to touch the heating elements as it may cause fire or damage. Use it only on the baking tray or to wrap food.
How do I clean the oven interior?
Remove racks and trays. Wipe the interior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners. For stubborn stains, use a paste of baking soda and water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. The easy-clean enamel helps prevent food from sticking.
What is the difference between conventional and fan-assisted modes?
Conventional mode uses top and bottom heating elements without a fan, suitable for baking delicate items like cakes. Fan-assisted mode circulates hot air for even cooking and faster results, ideal for roasting and multiple racks.
How do I set the timer on the LBFANX10?
Press the timer button until the display flashes. Use the + and - buttons to set desired cooking time. Confirm by pressing the timer button again. The oven will automatically shut off when time expires.
Is there a child lock feature?
Yes, the Logik LBFANX10 is equipped with a child lock. Activate it by pressing and holding the key lock button for 3 seconds (usually combined with the timer or stop button). Deactivate by pressing and holding again. This prevents accidental operation by children.
What should I do if the oven does not heat?
First, check that the oven is properly connected to power and the circuit breaker is on. Ensure the timer is set to manual mode. If still not heating, the heating element or thermostat may be faulty. Contact Logik customer service for replacement parts.
Can I install the oven myself?
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or authorized installer. The oven must be connected to the mains supply with appropriate isolation. Ensure the built-in cabinet has proper ventilation and that the oven is level.
What is the warranty period for Logik ovens?
Logik typically offers a 1-year warranty for manufacturing defects. Proof of purchase is required. The warranty covers parts and labor but excludes damage from misuse, improper installation, or normal wear of consumables like light bulbs.
How can I reduce energy consumption?
Use fan-assisted mode for faster cooking, avoid opening the door frequently, and turn off the oven a few minutes before the end of cooking to use residual heat. Also, preheat only when necessary and cook multiple dishes at once.

First Time Use of the Oven

Unpack the oven. Remove any insert cards or plastic bags. Use a damp cloth to carefully wipe the inner cavity wall and housing. Clean all the detachable parts in hot, soapy water before using.

Heat the oven on maximum for 45 minutes. There may be a little smoke and odour upon initial start up (for about 15 mins). This is normal. It is due to the protective substance on the heating elements which protects them from the effects of corrosion during shipping from the factory.

Using the Oven

Logik LBFANX10 - Using the Oven - 1

  • Under no circumstances should the oven be lined with aluminium foil as overheating may occur.
  • Do not place dishes or baking trays directly onto the base of the oven as it becomes very hot and damage may occur.
  • Bread may catch fire if the toasting time is too long. Close supervision is necessary during toasting.

  • To get the best results, the smallest distance allowed between the food and the upper heating element is 30 mm.

  • On the wall of inner cavity there are 6 different shelf guide slots. You can place the shelf at different heights to achieve the best cooking performance depending on the heat of the heating elements and the size of food. If only the upper heating element is on, we suggest that you place the shelf on guide 1 (make sure that there is a minimum distance of 30mm between the food and the upper heating element).

  • Always monitor the food during cooking to ensure that you are not overcooking it.

  • For heavy food, use a baking pan rather than the wire shelf.
  • Select the oven function you require. Select the temperature you require.
  • Before placing food in the oven you may need to pre-heat the oven for 10 minutes.
  • The temperature light will go out when the chosen temperature has been reached.
  • To switch the oven off turn the function control dial to the off position '0'.

Using the Functions

Symbol Function Description
Logik LBFANX10 - Using the Functions - 1Defrost FunctionTo use the defrost function, take your frozen food and place it in the oven on a wire shelf on the third guide slot from the bottom. It is recommended that you place an oven tray under the defrosting food, to catch the water accumulated due to melting ice. This function will not cook or bake your food, it will only help to defrost it.
Logik LBFANX10 - Using the Functions - 2Static Cooking FunctionThe static cooking function emits heat, ensuring even cooking of the lower and upper food, this is an excellent function for making pastries, cakes, baked pasta, lasagne and pizza.
Logik LBFANX10 - Using the Functions - 3Fan FunctionThis function is very good for obtaining results in baking pastry. Cooking is carried out by the lower and upper heating element within the oven and by the air circulation device, which will give a slight grill effect to the food. The fan evenly disperses the heat of the oven.
Logik LBFANX10 - Using the Functions - 4Faster Lower Heating FunctionFan and lower heating function is ideal for baking food equally in a short time. While the fan evenly disperses the heat of the oven, the lower heating element ensures the baking of the food dough.
Logik LBFANX10 - Using the Functions - 5Grilling FunctionThis function is used for grilling foods such as cheese on toast, always use the highest rack. Lightly brush the grill rack with oil to stop foods sticking and place the foods in the centre. The grill pan and rack should be used together to catch the drips of oil.
Logik LBFANX10 - Using the Functions - 6Faster Grilling FunctionThis function is used for faster grilling and for covering a larger surface area, such as grilling meats, which tend to take up more room on a grilling rack.
Logik LBFANX10 - Using the Functions - 7Double Grill and Fan FunctionThis function is ideal for thicker foods when grilling. Both the upper heating elements and grill will be energised along with the fan to ensure even cooking.

Logik LBFANX10 - Using the Functions - 8

Baking Tips

  1. Always place baking tins in the centre of the wire shelf.
  2. Make sure you use bakeware that is oven proof.
  3. Do not place bakeware too close to the rear of the oven wall.
  4. You can influence the degree of browning by changing the temperature setting.
  5. If a cake collapses after removing it from the oven:

• Use less liquid on your next attempt.

- Consider using a longer baking time or use a slightly lower temperature setting.

Logik LBFANX10 - Baking Tips - 1

Energy Saving

To save energy and to help protect the environment, we recommend these hints:

• Preheat the oven only if expressly required by the recipe or guidelines.
• Dark baking tins have a higher degree of heat absorption.
- In the case of longer baking times, you can switch off the oven 5–10 minutes before the full baking time and use the residual heat. This will reduce energy usage.
• Use the oven efficiently, by cooking many trays of food at the same time.
• Cook 2 trays of scones, small cakes or sausage rolls at the same time.
- Select the correct shelf location for food being cooked.
- Do not open the oven door more than necessary.
