How many doors can the LUNA SDACSKT control?

The LUNA SDACSKT is designed for single door control but supports up to 6 SDAC units with the LUNA software, allowing control of up to 6 doors.

What software is required to use this kit?

You need to download the LUNA software from dormakaba. It is free, runs from a USB drive, and requires Windows 10/8/7 with an Intel Core i3 equivalent processor, 8 GB RAM, and 100 GB free space.

Can I use mobile credentials with the K-SMART3 reader?

Yes, the K-SMART3 reader supports Keyscan Mobile credentials via BLE. You can adjust the read range using a BLE programming card (sold separately).

How do I connect the SDAC unit to my network?

The SDAC unit has a built-in WiFi adapter (802.11 b/g/n) and supports point-to-point or WLAN connectivity. Connect it to your router wirelessly and configure via the LUNA software.

What credentials are included with the kit?

The kit includes a 10-pack of K-SECURE1K10 cards (13.56 MHz, 1K memory). Additional credentials (cards or fobs) can be purchased separately.

Can I add a second reader for out-only access?

Yes, the SDAC unit has two reader ports (In/Out). You can add a second K-SMART3 reader (sold separately) to control both entry and exit.

What is the read range of the K-SMART3 reader?

For ISO cards, the read range is approximately 1 inch (3 cm). For mobile credentials, you can select from short, medium, long, or maximum BLE ranges depending on installation.

Can I program E-Plex offline locks with the LUNA software?

Yes, the LUNA software can program E-Plex 7900, 5600, 5700, 3600, and 3700 series locks. You will need the M-Unit handheld (sold separately) to communicate with the locks.

The Keyscan LUNA™ Single Door Access Control Smart Kit (SDACSKT) contains:

• SDAC single-door access control unit
• PS1225 Plug-in 12VDC transformer power supply
• K-SMART3 13.56 MHz mobile-ready reader
• K-SECURE1K10 package of 10 card credentials

The access control unit is quickly configured and installed. It features two reader ports allowing a single door in or out reader or a single door with in and out readers controlled by an electric strike or electromagnetic lock depending on your project specifications.

The combination of single access control unit, one reader, 10 credentials, power supply and comprehensive software, brings affordable access control security, accountability, and reporting to small businesses for a fraction of the cost of enterprise systems.
