Frequently Asked Questions - V261LCD Lorex

How do I connect the V261LCD camera to my DVR?
Connect the BNC video cable from the camera to a BNC input on your DVR. Then connect the power adapter to the camera and plug it into a power outlet. Ensure the DVR is powered on and configured for the camera channel.
What is the maximum cable length for video?
For best quality, use a high-quality coaxial cable up to 100 feet (30 m). Longer runs may require a video balun or signal amplifier.
Why is my camera showing no image?
Check that the camera is powered (LED should be on). Verify the BNC connection is secure. Ensure the DVR channel is set to the correct input. If using an extension cable, test with a shorter cable.
How do I clean the camera lens?
Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or lens cleaner. Gently wipe the lens in a circular motion. Avoid using abrasive materials or excessive moisture.
Can I use this camera outdoors?
Yes, the V261LCD has an IP66 rating, making it weatherproof for outdoor use. Ensure all connections are sealed with weatherproof tape or silicone to prevent moisture ingress.
How do I reset the camera to factory settings?
This camera does not have a reset button. To reset, power cycle the camera by unplugging the power adapter for 30 seconds. For advanced reset, contact Lorex support.
What should I do if night vision is not working?
Ensure the camera is not blocked by obstructions. Check that the IR LEDs are not covered. If the camera is installed behind glass, infrared reflection may occur; try mounting outside the glass. Also verify power supply is stable.
Is audio supported?
No, the V261LCD model does not have audio input or output. It is a video-only camera.
What power adapter does this camera need?
The camera requires a 12V DC, 1A power adapter with a 2.1mm barrel connector (center positive). Use only the supplied adapter or a certified equivalent.
Where can I find the user manual?
The manual is available for free download at notice-facile.com or the Lorex support website. You can also request a translated version via email on the product page.
