STEAM CLEANER INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Dear customer, IMETEC thanks you for having purchased this product. We are certain you will appreciate the quality and reliability of this appliance, designed and manufactured with customer satisfaction in mind. These instructions for use have been drawn up in accordance with European Standard EN 62079.

SAFETY WARNINGS
- After having removed the appliance from its packaging, verify its integrity based on the drawing and any presence of damage caused by transport. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact an authorised service centre.
- Do not let children play with the packaging! Keep the plastic bag out of the reach of children - risk of suffocation!
- Before connecting the appliance, check that the technical data

(14) match the mains supply. The identification technical data (14) are found on the appliance on the back part of the manual steam cleaner.
- This appliance must be used solely for the purpose for which it was designed, namely, as a steam cleaner for home use. Any other use is considered not compliant and therefore dangerous.
- This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, provided under surveillance or after they have been given the instructions for safe use and they have understood the related dangers. Children must not play with the appliance.
Do NOT use the appliance with wet hands, damp feet or barefoot.
Do NOT pull the power cable or the appliance itself to remove the plug from the socket.
Do NOT expose the appliance to humidity or weather conditions (rain, sun, etc.).
- Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning or performing maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.
- If the appliance is faulty or malfunctions, switch it off and do not tamper with it. Any repairs must only be carried out by an authorised technical service centre.
- If the power cable is damaged it must be replaced by an authorised technical service centre, so as to prevent all risks.
∅ NEVER pull or lift the appliance by its cable.
NEVER submerge the appliance in water or other liquids.
Do NOT use the steam cleaner to clean appliances that contain electrical components, such as inside ovens.
- The appliance must not be left unattended when it is connected to the mains.
Do NOT open the filler opening during use.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped, if it is visibly damaged or if it leaks.
- Keep the appliance out of reach of children when it is used or it is cooling.
Do NOT use the appliance before having mounted the specific cloth.
Do NOT direct the steam jet towards people or animals, electrical appliances or sockets.
- Before use, check the type of flooring and if in doubt, contact the manufacturer.
Do NOT use on leather, wax polished furniture or floors, synthetic fabrics, velvet or other delicate fabrics sensitive to steam.

ATTENTION! Do not use on hardwood or unsealed laminate.
NEVER use descaling, aromatic or alcohol products or other cleaning agents in the steam mop.
- Wear appropriate shoes when using the steam mop and when changing the accessories. Do NOT wear open shoes.
Do NOT touch parts that may become hot during use.
Do NOT use the appliance upside down or lifted off the ground.

PREPARATION
TYPE OF WATER TO BE USED
- Unscented demineralised water.
ASSEMBLY
- Unpack the product.
- Check that the product is intact and not damaged.
- Clip the Brush (8) to the steam mop Body (15) until the brush release button clicks (7). [Fig B1]
- Remove the brush (8) by pressing the brush removal button (7) and remove the brush.
- Insert the handle (1) in the steam mop body (15) until the handle release button clicks (12). [Fig B2]
- Remove the handle (1) by pressing the handle release button (12) and remove.
- Place the Microfibre Cloth (16L) on the floor with the Velcro side facing up and place the brush (8) on it and press lightly, making sure to cover the entire surface of the brush. [Fig. B3]

WARNING: SCALDING HAZARD
Before removing the cloth (16L), after use, ALWAYS switch off the steam cleaner and wait a few minutes until the brush (8) has cooled.
FILLING THE WATER RESERVOIR
- Turn the water reservoir (13) anti-clockwise until the arrow reaches the “open padlock” symbol and remove it. [Fig. C1]
- Remove the top rubber cap and fill the reservoir with water up to the MAX level. [Fig. C2]
- Close the rubber cap and reposition the water reservoir (13) in the relevant seat and turn it clockwise until the arrow reaches the “closed padlock” symbol. [Fig C3]
• DO NOT leave water inside the reservoir between one use and another. - Empty the water from the reservoir (13) after each use.

WARNING: To fill the water reservoir (13) during use and clean you must ALWAYS turn off the steam cleaner and repeat the filling operations.
USE
USED AS A CLEANER FOR FLOORS/CARPETS
- Fully unwind the power cable (11). To do so, turn the upper cable hook (10A) downwards.
- Secure the cable in the slot of the upper cable hook to prevent the cable from hindering the cleaning operations.
- Connect the power cord (11) to the mains.
- Press the on/off button (4). The steam ready LED (6) will light up BLUE and after a few seconds it will become RED so as to indicate that the boiler is ready for use. [Fig D1]
- Rest one foot on the brush (8) and pull the handle (1) toward you to tilt the Steam Mop body. [Fig D2]
- Produce steam by briefly pressing the steam mop button (2). [Fig. D3]
• DO NOT emit steam continuously so as to not to wet the surface that is to be cleaned excessively. - The steam takes a few seconds to penetrate through the cleaning cloth.
- Rub the surface that is to be cleaned by inclining the product to about 45^ [Fig. D4]
- Switch the product off by pressing the on/off (4) button again [Fig.D1]
- Let the product cool.

WARNING: SCALDING HAZARD
Before removing the cloth (16L), after use, ALWAYS switch off the steam cleaner and wait a few minutes until the brush (8) has cooled.
- Press a corner of the cloth (16L) with one foot and lift the steam mop to remove the cloth from the brush (8). [Fig. D5]
CLEANING STUBBORN STAINS
If there are stubborn stains on hard surfaces you can remove them by using the Stain removal brush (8A). With the steam cleaner in a vertical position and the brush locked at 45^ , rub the stain with stain removal brush (8A) on the rear part of the brush (8). [Fig. D6]
TO RENEW RUGS/CARPETS
- Place the Microfibre Cloth (16L) on the floor with the Velcro side facing up and place the brush (8) on it and press lightly, making sure to cover the entire surface of the brush. [Fig. B3]
- Place the Rugs/Carpets support (9) on the ground.
- Insert the brush (8) in the front part of the rugs/carpets support and press the steam mop until the Rugs/Carpets support (9) attaches completely to the brush (8) [Fig. D7]
- The rugs/carpets support allows the steam mop to slide easily on surfaces such as rugs and carpets with short hair.
- Fully unwind the power cable (11). To do so, turn the upper cable hook (10A) downwards.
- Secure the cable in the slot of the upper cable hook to prevent the cable from hindering the cleaning operations.
- Connect the power cord (11) to the mains.
- Press the on/off button (4). The steam ready LED (6) will light up BLUE and after a few seconds it will become RED so as to indicate that the boiler is ready for use. [Fig D1]
- Rest one foot on the brush (8) and pull the handle (1) toward you to tilt the Steam Mop body. [Fig D2]
- Produce steam by briefly pressing the steam mop button (2). [Fig. D3]
• DO NOT emit steam continuously so as to not to wet the surface that is to be cleaned excessively.
• DO NOT dose the amount of steam excessively during use on rugs/carpets.
- The steam takes a few seconds to penetrate through the cleaning cloth.
- Rub the surface that is to be cleaned by inclining the product to about 45^ . [Fig. D4]

- Before removing the Rugs/Carpets support (9) turn off the steam mop from the on/off button (4) and allow it to cool.
- Remove the rugs/carpets support (9) by resting one foot on the footprint shaped symbol and lift the steam mop to release the brush (8) from the rugs/carpets support (9). [Fig D8]
USED AS A MULTIFUNCTIONAL STEAM CLEANER

WARNING: Always turn off the appliance before removing the Multifunctional steam cleaner from the support structure or before attaching/detaching any accessory.

WARNING: SCALDING HAZARD
The steam nozzle of the manual steam cleaner and that of the hose (16l) and accessories (16) heat up during use. Allow the appliance and all the accessories to cool before attaching/detaching them.
- Press the steam cleaner release button (3) and pull and slightly raise the manual steam cleaner to detach it from the support structure. [Fig.E1]
- Insert the hose (16l) on the steam nozzle by positioning the release button down until it blocks completely. [Fig. E2]
- Select one of the accessories (16) [Fig.E3] to be used.
- Apply them to the steam nozzle at the end of the hose (16l).
- Fit them properly by aligning the tabs on the hose to those in the grooves of the accessory. Press the accessory onto the hose (16l) and turn it clockwise until it clicks into position. [Fig.E4]
- Only the hose (16l) can be applied directly to the steam nozzle of the manual steam cleaner. All other accessories must be connected to the hose for them to be used.

DO NOT apply the accessories directly to the steam nozzle of the manual steam cleaner.
- Connect the power cord (11) to the mains.
- Press the on/off button (4). The steam ready LED (6) will light up BLUE and after 30 seconds it will become RED so as to indicate that the boiler is ready for use. [Fig. E5]
- Produce steam by briefly pressing the Manual cleaner steam button (5). [Fig.E6]
• DO NOT emit steam continuously so as to not to wet the surface that is to be cleaned excessively.
USING DIFFERENT ACCESSORIES 16:
- Only the hose (16l) can be applied directly to the steam nozzle of the manual steam cleaner. All other accessories must be connected to the hose for them to be used.

Do not apply the accessories directly to the steam nozzle of the manual steam cleaner.
- Close the running water when cleaning around taps/showers/baths.
• DO NOT use on ovens, oven surfaces or grills when they are hot. Let it cool to room temperature.
STEAM CONCENTRATOR ON A HOSE (16I)
- To remove and dissolve soap residue from baths and shower cubicles and between bathroom and kitchen tiles. [Fig. F1]
LARGE (16A) and SMALL (16B) PLASTIC BRUSH
- To remove stubborn stains from tiles, sinks and hobs. [Fig.F2]
METAL BRUSH (16C)
• To clean hard surfaces, oven grills and non-electric BBQs that are very dirty, after having
removed them from the appliance and allowed them to cool.
• DO NOT do not clean grids inside electric ovens and electric BBQs.
• DO NOT clean grids that are still hot.
• DO NOT use on delicate surfaces and fabrics.
GROUT BRUSH (16D)
- To clean the grout between the tiles. [Fig. F4]
GOOSE NECK BRUSH (16E)
- To reach difficult areas (e.g. around taps). [Fig.F5]
SCRAPING BRUSH (16F)
- To remove dry dirt such as residue on ovens, pots and work surfaces. [Fig. F6]
GLASS/UPHOLSTERY BRUSH (16G and 16H)
- To clean windows, showers, tiles and mirrors. [Fig. F7]
- Attach the fabric cloth (16H) to the glass brush (16G) to use it on upholstery and clothing. [Fig F8]
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning or performing maintenance and when the appliance is not in use.

WARNING: SCALDING HAZARD
Let the product cool before cleaning it.
Once you finish using the product, it is recommended to empty it completely from residue water if it will not be used for a long time.
Keep the product in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children.
Clean the external part of the appliance with a soft cloth that is slightly dampened with water. Do not use abrasives, alcohol, solvents or similar products since the surface of the appliance may be permanently damaged.
Follow the instructions on the labels when cleaning microfibre (16L) and fabric (16H) cloths.
DISPOSAL


Pursuant to Art. 26 of Italian Legislative Decree no. 49 of 14 March 2014 “Implementation of Directive 2012/19/EU on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)”, the crossed bin symbol on the appliance or its packaging indicates that the product must be disposed of separately from other waste at the end of its useful life.
The user must therefore take the appliance to an appropriate recycling centre for electrical and electronic equipment.
Alternatively, instead of handling the disposal, the appliance can be handed over to the retailer when a new, equivalent appliance is purchased.
Retailers of electronic products having a sales area of at least 400 m2 can also be handed electronic products that are to be disposed of measuring less than 25 cm, free of charge and with no obligation to buy. Appropriate separate collection for the subsequent procedure for the decommissioned appliance for recycling, which includes treatment and environmentally friendly disposal helps prevent adverse effects on the environment and health and promotes reusing and/or recycling materials that the appliance consists of.
ASSISTANCE AND WARRANTY
The appliance is guaranteed for a period of 2 years from the date of purchase. Evidence shall be constituted by the date indicated on the receipt/invoice (provided it is legible), unless the buyer can prove that the delivery occurred later.
In the case of a defective product existing prior to the date of delivery, IMETEC guarantees to repair or replace the appliance at no cost, unless one of the two solutions is disproportionate to the other. The buyer has the obligation to notify an IMETEC Service Centre of the non-conformity within two months after discovering the defect.
The warranty does not cover any part that may be defective due to:
a. Damage from transport or accidental drops,
b. Incorrect installation or inadequate electrical system,
c. Repairs or alterations made by unauthorised personnel,
d. Poor or incorrect maintenance and cleaning,
e. Product and/or product parts subject to wear and/or consumables,
f. Failure to comply with the appliance's operating instructions negligent or careless use.
The list above is purely indicative and not exhaustive and in any case, this warranty shall not cover all circumstances that cannot be attributed to manufacturing defects of the appliance.
The warranty also does not cover any case of improper use of the appliance and professional use.
IMETEC declines all responsibility for any damage that may directly or indirectly be caused to persons, property and pets as a result of failure to comply with all the instructions provided in the Instructions and Warnings Manual regarding appliance installation, use and maintenance.
This is without prejudice to any contractual warranty claims against the seller.
Methods of support
Appliance repairs must be carried out by an IMETEC Service Centre. If the faulty appliance is under warranty, it must be sent to the Service Centre together with a fiscal document that attests the date of sale or delivery.
