How do I froth cold milk with the Miko SI1000?

Attach the frothing spring (5) to the mixing tip (4). Pour milk up to the MAX level (150 ml) inside the tank. Place the lid (1) with sealing gasket (2). Press the cold froth button (10). The appliance will stop automatically after approx. 120 seconds.

Can I heat milk without frothing?

Yes. Remove the frothing spring (5) from the tip (4). Pour up to 300 ml of milk. Place the lid. Press button (9). The milk will be heated to about 60-75 °C in approx. 270 seconds.

What is the maximum capacity for frothing?

The maximum capacity for frothing is 150 ml. For heating only, it is 300 ml. Do not exceed the indicated MAX level inside the tank.

How do I clean the milk frother?

Unplug and let cool. Wash the lid, sealing gasket, spindle, mixing tip, spring, handle, and tank in warm water with mild detergent. You can also place them on the upper shelf of a dishwasher (max 50°C). Never immerse the base in water; wipe it with a damp cloth.

Is the Miko SI1000 safe to use?

Yes. It has automatic shut-off and thermal protection. Always ensure milk is in the tank before turning on. Do not overfill. Keep away from children under 8 years old.

What type of milk should I use?

For best frothing results, use milk with a fat content over 3.0%. Both fresh and UHT milk work well.

Why does the appliance stop before the cycle is complete?

The appliance has an automatic shut-off when the selected cycle ends. If it stops earlier, it may have overheated. Wait at least 2 minutes for the thermostat to reset. You can also pour cold water into the tank to speed up cooling.

Can I use the frother to make hot chocolate?

The appliance is designed for milk only. Do not use it to heat other liquids, as this may damage the coating or cause malfunction.

What does the warranty cover?

The warranty covers manufacturing defects for household use. It does not cover the indicator light, damage from improper use, or professional use.

How do I replace the sealing gasket?

The sealing gasket (2) is located under the lid. To replace, gently remove the old one and insert a new one from an authorized service center. Ensure it sits firmly to avoid leaks.

1. Carefully read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. Connect the appliance base only to a suitably earthed socket compatible with the parameters indicated in the instructions.
3. The appliance should be placed on a stable and dry surface.
4. Before turning on the appliance, make sure that milk is in the tank. Do not turn on an empty appliance.
5. Do not pour milk above the max. level indicator. Overfilling may result in uncontrolled outflow of hot milk, flooding electrical connections, and short circuiting).

INTENDED USE

The SI1000 foaming unit is intended for heating up and foaming of milk, as well as for preparation of beverages on the basis of milk. The appliance heats up milk to about 60-75°C or foams milk to about 60-75°C.

SETTING UP THE APPLIANCE

Before using the appliance, make sure that the appliance, the plug and the power cable are in good technical order and whether all parts of the package were removed.

Before the first use, all parts of the appliance that are in contact with food must be thoroughly washed (see: Cleaning and maintenance).

For the best results, use milk with fat content over 3.0%.

Warm milk frothing

• Place the tank (7) in the base (8).
• Set the spring (5) on the tip (4).
• Pour milk into the tank in the volume not exceeding the maximum level - MAX
• Place the lid (1) with the sealing gasket (2) and the frothing tip.
• Activate the appliance with the button (9). The control light will go on (9) to start the frothing process.
• The appliance will switch off automatically, and the control light will go off. The appliance may be turned off at any time with the button (9).

- Then remove the lid (1).

- While holding the appliance by the handle (6), remove the tank (7) from the base and pour out the milk to a cup. If needed, use a wooden spoon so as not to damage the coat of the tank.

Cold milk frothing

• Place the tank (7) in the base (8).
• Set the spring (5) on the tip (4).
• Pour milk into the tank in the volume not exceeding the maximum level - MAX
• Place the lid (1) with the sealing gasket (2) and the frothing tip.
• Activate the appliance with the button (10). The control light will go on (10) to start the frothing process.
• The appliance will switch off automatically, and the control light will go off. The appliance may be turned off at any time with the button (10).

- Then remove the lid (1).

- While holding the appliance by the handle (6), remove the tank (7) from the base and pour out the milk to a cup. If needed, use a wooden spoon so as not to damage the coat of the tank.

Heating up milk

• Place the tank (7) in the base (8).
  • Make sure that the spring (5) is removed from the tip (4).
• Pour milk into the tank in the volume not exceeding the maximum level - MAX
• Place the lid (1) with the sealing gasket (2) and the mixing tip.
• Activate the appliance with the button (9). The control light will go on (9) and the heating process will start.
• The appliance will switch off automatically, and the control light will go off. The appliance may be turned off at any time with the button (9).
• Then remove the lid (1).
• While holding the appliance by the handle (6), remove the tank (7) from the base and pour out the milk to a cup.

NOTE. Do not pour milk above the maximum level for the given function.

After use, wait for about 2 minutes for the thermostat to reset. This time may be shortened when cold water is poured into the tank. Dry clean the appliance before its use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Clean the appliance immediately after use and cooling down.
• Before cleaning, turn off the appliance with the button (9, 10), disconnect from the power supply and wait to cool down.
• Never immerse the base (8) in water, and do not rinse under running water.
• The external surfaces may be cleaned with a damp cloth.
• Wash the elements (1), (2), (3), (4), (5), (6+7) in warm water with addition of washdish, use a soft sponge and rinse under running water.
• Do not use abrasive agents, cleaning powders, acetone, alcohol, etc.
• The elements (1), (3), (4), (6+7) may be washed in a dishwasher, placed on the upper shelf. Make sure that they are placed away from the heating element. The maximum temperature is 50°C.
