How do I use the milk frother?

Place the base on a flat surface and connect to mains. Install the desired tip (frothing spring or mixing tip) inside the tank. Pour milk up to the corresponding max level (150 ml for foaming, 300 ml for mixing). Place the tank on the base, put on the cap with gasket, and press the ON/OFF button. The appliance will automatically shut off when done. Wait 2 minutes before next use to reset the thermostat.

What type of milk is best for frothing?

For best frothing results, use milk with fat content over 3.0%. Whole milk produces the creamier froth. Skim or low-fat milk can be used but may produce less foam.

Can I heat other liquids like hot chocolate?

Yes, the mixing function (using the mixing tip) is suitable for heating and stirring milk-based beverages, such as hot chocolate, by adding powdered cocoa or syrups. Do not exceed the 300 ml max level.

How do I clean the milk frother?

Unplug and let the appliance cool down. Do not immerse the base or tank in water. Wipe the base with a damp cloth. Clean the inside of the tank with a soft cloth and a few drops of mild detergent, then rinse thoroughly. Rinse the cap, gasket, and tip(s) under running water. Ensure all parts are dry before reassembly. Not dishwasher safe.

What is the maximum capacity for foaming?

The maximum capacity for foaming is 150 ml. Do not exceed this level, as it may cause overflow and risk of scalding or electrical short circuit.

Can I operate the appliance without milk?

No. Never turn on the appliance when the tank is empty. This can damage the heating element. Always ensure there is milk in the tank before switching on.

Why does the appliance stop before my milk is hot enough?

The appliance has an automatic shut-off function. It stops once the milk reaches its optimal temperature (approx. 63-65°C). If you need hotter milk, pour it into a microwave-safe container and reheat separately. Do not modify the appliance.

Is the milk frother safe for children to use?

Children aged 8 years and older may use the appliance under adult supervision, provided they have been instructed on safe use and understand the risks. Children should not clean or perform maintenance without supervision. Keep the appliance and cord away from children under 8.

What should I do if the power cord is damaged?

If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid hazard. Do not use the appliance. Contact Eldom's authorized service center (list available at www.eldom.eu).

Can I use the frother for other purposes like making warm soups?

No. The appliance is designed exclusively for heating and foaming milk or preparing milk-based beverages. Using it for other purposes may damage the appliance and void the warranty.

1. Carefully read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. Connect the appliance base only to a suitably earthed socket compatible with the parameters indicated in the instructions.
3. The appliance should be placed on a stable and dry surface.
4. Before turning on the appliance, make sure that milk is in the tank. Do not turn on an empty appliance.
5. Do not pour milk above the max.level indicator. Overfilling may result in uncontrolled outflow of hot milk, flooding electrical connections, and short circuiting).
6. The device can be used by children aged 8 and older and not by persons with limited physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or persons without sufficient experience and knowledge only under supervision or if previously instructed on the safe use of the appliance and the possible risks. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance that are the responsibility of the user shall not be carried out by children without supervision. Protect the appliance and the power cord against children under 8 years old.
7. When unsupervised, the appliance that is plugged in to the mains or is filled with hot milk may pose hazard for children.
8. Never immerse the appliance base in water while washing-up.
9. The appliance is made of materials which can be recycled.

10. It should be handed over to the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment.

11. This appliance is designed for domestic use only; when used for industrial purposes outside the product's specifications, or used not in accordance with the instructions, no liability is assumed and the warranty is nullified.

INTENDED USE

The SI500C foaming unit is intended for heating up and foaming of milk, as well as for preparation of beverages on the basis of milk. The appliance heats up milk to about 63 +/- 5°C or foams milk to about 65 +/- 5°C.

USE

Before using the appliance, make sure that the appliance, the plug and the power cable are in good technical order and whether all parts of the package were removed.

Before the first use, all parts of the appliance that are in contact with food must be thoroughly washed (see:

Cleaning and maintenance).

OPERATION

Place the base (6) on flat and stable surface and connect to the mains.

Install the required tip inside the tank (4) (Fig. 1)

Place the tank on the base (6).

Pour the required volume of milk in accordance with the selected function: Table 1 (Fig. 2.).

For the best results, use milk with fat content over 3.0%.

When the mixing function is selected, powdered cocoa (etc.) may be added to milk.

NOTE. Do not pour milk above the maximum level for the given function.

Place the cap (1) with the sealing gasket (2).

Activate the appliance with the button (5) (Fig. 3). The control light will go on.

The appliance will switch off automatically and the control light will go off.

Remove the cap (1).

While holding the appliance by the handle (3), remove the tank (4) from the base and pour out the milk to a cup. If needed, use a wooden spoon so as not to damage the coat of the tank.

After use, wait for about 2 minutes for the thermostat to reset. This time may be shortened when cold water is poured into the tank. Dry clean the appliance before its use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

The appliance or any of its parts are not suitable for washing in a dishwasher.

Clean the appliance immediately after use and cooling down.

Before cleaning, turn off the appliance with the button (5), disconnect from the power supply and wait to cool down.

Never immerse the base (6) and the tank (4) in water, and do not rinse them under running water. The external surfaces

may be cleaned with a damp cloth.

Clean the internal tank with a soft cloth with a few drops of washing agent and rinse it thoroughly.

Make sure the unit is dry before you use it.

Rinse the cap (1) and the sealing gasket (2) and the tip (8, 9) removed from the tank under running water.

Do not use abrasive agents, cleaning powders, acetone, alcohol, etc., for cleaning.
