How to use the ionic function?

The hair dryer automatically produces negative ions when in operation. The indicator (E) shows the function. The ions reduce the size of water droplets, allowing faster drying and leaving hair shinier and more voluminous.

What accessories are included and what are they used for?

The appliance comes with: an air concentrator for fast, targeted drying, a round brush with steel body for shaping ends, a round brush with soft bristles for finishing, and a square brush for adding body and volume.

How to clean the hair dryer and its accessories?

Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and let it cool. Clean the exterior with a damp cloth. The accessories can be washed in warm soapy water, then rinsed. Make sure they are thoroughly dry before use. Regularly clean the air intake grille with a small brush.

What to do if the appliance stops automatically?

This is overheat protection. Turn off the appliance (OFF position) and unplug it. Remove any dirt blocking the air intake grille. Wait about 10 minutes before turning it back on. If the problem persists, contact an authorized service center.

How to get volume or curls?

For volume, brush hair upwards against the natural growth direction. For curls, divide hair into 4-5 cm sections, wrap around a round brush and hold for 10-15 seconds (thick hair) or 5-10 seconds (fine hair). Use cold air to set the style.

Can I use the appliance in the bathroom?

Yes, but with caution. Do not use it near a bathtub, shower, or water container. Unplug it after use, as proximity to water poses a risk even when off. Never touch the appliance with wet hands or feet.

How to attach an accessory?

Fit the accessory onto the appliance body until it clicks. To remove it, press the unlock button (F) and gently pull.

What is the warranty?

The warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase, upon presentation of a receipt or invoice. It covers material or manufacturing defects. To activate it, contact an authorized Polti service center.

How to use the cold air function?

Set the switch (C) to the COOL position. This activates maximum speed with warm/cold air. Use it at the end of drying to set the hairstyle and add shine.

What to do if the appliance does not turn on?

First check that the power outlet works and that the mains voltage matches the one on the rating plate. Make sure the switch is set to a position other than OFF. If nothing happens, the appliance may be in overheat mode (see question 4). Otherwise, contact an authorized service center.

WARNINGS

• Read the instruction manual carefully before using the appliance and keep it for future reference.
• Before plugging in the hairdryer, check that your mains voltage corresponds to the voltage identified on the plate on the appliance and that the power socket is suitable.

USING THE APPLIANCE

Remove the hairstyling appliance from the beauty case. Always use the appliance with an accessory installed on it.

Insert the plug on the power cord (A) into a suitable power socket.

The appliance has 2 speeds and 2 temperature levels, which may be used in various combinations to suit the user's requirements:

The hairstyling appliance is fitted with a device for production of negative ions during operation. Indicator light (E) will come on when it is working. Negative ions reduce the size of drops of water on the hair so that more water is absorbed, helping to soften and condition the hair and leaving it shiny and full-bodied.

HOW TO USE THE ACCESSORIES

Application

Snap the accessory you wish to use onto the body of the appliance, checking that it is connected up properly. When you wish to replace the accessory, press button (F) to release the accessory from the body of the appliance.

Air conveyor (G)

The perfect accessory for drying the hair quickly with abundant air.

The air conveyor opening allows you to dry particular locks of hair with extra care and create special effects. This may be done with hot or cold air. To replace accessories, simply press button (F) and separate the hair styling appliance from the accessory assembled on it.

Brushes supplied

The appliance is supplied with three brush accessories. The rounded brush with soft bristles is recommended for putting the finishing touches on styles, while the rounded steel brush is ideal for styling the tips of the hair and the square brush adds body and volume to the hair. To replace accessories, simply press button (F) and separate the body of the hair styling appliance from the accessory assembled on it.

Cleaning accessories.

Always remove accessories from the appliance before cleaning.

Wash accessories with warm, soapy water and rinse them in running water. Make sure they are completely dry before you use them again.

RECOMMENDATIONS

The hairstyling appliance is intended for styling damp or towel-dried hair.

Slowly brush the hair from the roots toward the tips.

Gather hair into locks 4 to 5 cm wide to form curls or waves or add volume.

Holding the appliance handle with one hand and the cold end of the accessory with the other, wrap the lock of hair around the accessory and rotate the appliance to form curls.

Leave the curl wound on the accessory for 10 to 15 seconds for thick to medium hair, 5 to 10 seconds for fine hair. Repeat as necessary to produce the desired effect.

To add body to the hair, brush upwards, away from the scalp, combing in the direction opposite to the hair's natural direction of growth. Repeat several times to create lasting volume.

To straighten the hair, brush from the scalp to the tips both above and below the lock of hair to be straightened until the hair is warm and dry.

When you have finished drying the hair, use the cold position to fix the style.

IMPORTANT: never block up the grating at the air intake opening, or the appliance may overheat. It this occurs, a safety device will be triggered which automatically shuts down the appliance.

The appliance will shut down automatically. You must turn it off (put the switch in the OFF position) and unplug it. Remove all obstacles from the grating and wait ten minutes before attempting to use the appliance again. If the appliance does not start working again, contact an authorised Polti service centre.

AFTER USE

When finished using the appliance, do not leave it plugged in. Unplug it and let it cool down before putting it away in a safe, dry place out of the reach of children. Never wind the power cord around the appliance.

Treat the cord carefully. Do not pull on it, bend it sharply

or wind it, especially near the plug, as it may break or a short circuit may occur.

WARNING: CHECK THAT THE APPLIANCE HAS COOLED DOWN BEFORE PUTTING IT AWAY IN THE BEAUTY CASE.

GENERAL MAINTENANCE \_RECOMMENDATIONS

• This appliance contains no user-serviceable parts. Contact an authorised Polti technical service centre if any type of inspection or repair is required.
• Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down before cleaning it. Clean surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Make sure that no water or other liquids get into the appliance. Use a brush to remove hair, dust, etc. from the grating covering the air intake opening.

• This appliance is manufactured in accordance with recycling legislation.
• Do not throw away packaging material with household waste, but take it to a recycling centre.
  • Use only original Polti spare parts.

Fitting the mains plug important

The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:

• Blue: Neutral
• Brown: Live

The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the Terminal which is marked with the letter "N" or coloured BLACK.

The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the Terminal which is marked with the letter "L" or coloured RED.

It is important that the outer sheath is clamped correctly into the-3-pin plug.

If in doubt consuot your local Service Dealer or qualified electrician before the machine is used.

A 13 AMP FUSE MUST BE FITTED TO THE MAINS PLUG.

Polti products are guaranteed to the original purchaser for two years from the date of purchase as shown on a valid receipt issued by the seller.

This guarantee does not affect the consumer's rights under European Directive 99/44/CE regarding certain aspects of the sale and guarantee of consumer goods; consumers should address claims under these provisions to the retailer where they purchased the goods.

This guarantee is effective in countries where European Directive 99/44/CE has been implemented. Local guarantee legislation applies in all other countries.

During the guarantee period, Polti will repair products with defects in workmanship or materials at no charge to the customer for either labour or materials.

To have work performed under this guarantee, consumers must contact an Authorised Polti Technical Assistance Centre. A list of these

centres and their addresses is attached. The consumer must present a valid receipt issued by the seller at the time of purchase as evidence of the date of purchase.

The guarantee does not cover defects due to incorrect use or use other than that identified in the instruction booklet, which is an integral part of the contract of sale for the product. The guarantee does not cover defects resulting from chance (fire, short circuit) or attributable to a third party (tampering with the product).

The guarantee does not cover parts that are damaged by wear or subject to normal wear (consumables such as filters, brushes, etc.).
