Mounting
The handle (13) and fork (16) must be mounted first before the apple peeler can be used. These come unassembled to save space during transport.
- Remove the shaft (15) by pressing the shaft lever (12) and then pulling the shaft slightly upwards.
-
Hold the shaft and attach the handle by screwing it onto the shaft. Attach the fork (16) in the same manner. The apple peeler should now resemble fig. 1.
-
The apple peeler mounts onto the work surface using the suction base. See fig. 2.
a. Push the lever (10) completely to the right.
b. Place the peeler on a flat surface and move the lever to the left. Make sure it is sitting solidly.
c. To loosen the peeler, push the lever to the right.
Fig. 2

-
Rotate the handle to move the shaft inwards. Make sure that the fork can safely pass through the coring blade (1). If not, loosen the wing nut (4) and adjust the blade's position until the fork can pass through freely. Re-tighten the wing nut.
-
The peeler arm (7) is pre-adjusted for a distance of approx 1 cm between the peeler blade (2) and outside of the fork. You can adjust the distance with the adjustment screw (6).
-
The peeler blade should always be centred on the peeler arm and protrude approx. 3 mm from the peeler arm. See fig. 3.

Fig. 3
- Pull the peeler arm (7) backwards and push the locking lever (5) forwards to lock the peeler arm in the extended position to ease the positioning of the fruit for peeling or slicing with the skin on. See fig. 4.
- The peeler is now ready for use.

Operation
Peeling, slicing and coring
Peeled, sliced and cored apples are great for e.g. apple pies, dried apple slices, etc. The peeler can even be used to peel and slice potatoes.
Tip: Always use fresh apples for the best results.
- Push the shaft lever in and pull the shaft outwards.
- Push an apple (stem side) or potato onto the fork. Make sure that the apple/potato is centred on the fork. If the potato is extremely large it may need to be cut in half. Place the cut side onto the fork.
- Check the skin's thickness by turning the handle a couple of times.
- Adjust the peeler blade when needed by loosening the wing nut and moving the blade closer to the fruit for thicker skins, or further from the fruit for thinner skins.
- Make sure that the peeler blade is straight when tightening the wing nut.
- Turn the handle so that the shaft moves inwards peeling and coring the apple leaving a spiral peel. Remove the spiral peel from the core. Fig. 5. To make slices of the spiral, cut through one side of the spiral according to fig. 6.

- To remove the core from the fork, push in the shaft lever and pull the shaft outwards. The core will be ejected off the fork by the coring ring.
Peeling only
- Loosen the peeler blade's wing nut. Remove or fold the coring/slicing blade to the side. Be careful as the blade is extremely sharp.
- Place an apple (or potato) and crank the handle until the entire apple has been peeled.
Slicing and coring (without peeling)
When you wish to slice and core an apple with the skin intact.
- Pull the peeler arm backwards and push the lock lever forwards to lock the peeler arm in the extended position.
- Insert an apple and turn the handle until the entire apple is sliced and cored.
Making shoestring potatoes
You can make shoestring potatoes with the apple peeler instead of using a grater.
- Loosen the peeler blade's wing nut. Remove or fold the peeler blade to the side. Be careful as the blade is extremely sharp.
- Insert a potato onto the fork and adjust the peeler blade to a deep cut-depth.
- Crank the handle until the entire potato has been peeled.
- When finished, fold the peeler arm backwards, pull the shaft back and return the peeler arm to its original position.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 until almost the entire potato is peeled.
Care and Maintenance
- Clean the apple peeler after every use.
- The apple peeler's moving parts can be oiled regularly with drop of vegetable oil.
