How to choose the desired humidity level?

Turn the Humidistat knob to set the relative humidity (RH) between 30% and 80%. The unit automatically stops when the level is reached.

Why is water not accumulating in the tank?

Check that the drain hose is properly connected and not blocked. If using the tank, make sure it is properly seated and the float is free.

What to do if the unit does not turn on?

Check the power outlet and cable. If the tank is full, empty it. Ensure the ambient temperature is between 5°C and 35°C.

Carefully remove the tank from the front. Empty the water into a sink. Replace the tank making sure it is properly clicked in.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

If the supply cord or plug is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazard.

Read all instructions before using the appliance.

To avoid fire or shock hazard, plug the appliance directly into an electrical outlet and fully insert the plug.

Keep the cord out of heavy traffic areas. To avoid fire hazard, NEVER put the cord under rugs, or near radiators, stoves, or heaters.

DO NOT place dehumidifier near heat sources such as stoves, radiators, and heaters. Do locate your dehumidifier on an inside wall near an electrical outlet. The dehumidifier should be at least 10cm/4" away from the wall for best results.

NEVER drop or insert any object into any openings.

DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance malfunctions, or if it has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to manufacturer for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, or repair.

Use appliance only for intended household use as described in this manual. Any other use not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.

DO NOT use outdoors or expose to direct sunlight.

Always place dehumidifier on a firm, flat, level surface. A waterproof mat or pad is recommended for under the dehumidifier. NEVER place it on a surface that may become damaged by exposure to water and moisture (i.e. finished floor).

Dehumidifier should be unplugged when not in use.

NEVER tilt, move, or attempt to empty unit while it is operating. Shut off and unplug before removing the water tank and moving the unit. DO NOT attempt to

remove the water tank within 15 minutes after the dehumidifier is turned off and unplugged. Serious injury may result.

This dehumidifier requires regular maintenance to operate appropriately. Refer to cleaning and maintenance procedures.

NEVER use detergents, petrol, glass cleaner, furniture polish, paint thinner, or other household solvents to clean any part of the dehumidifier.

DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electrical or mechanical functions on this unit. The inside of the unit contains no user serviceable parts. All servicing should be performed by qualified personnel only.

CAUTION: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Plug unit into an appropriate electrical outlet.

Press the Power Button to begin operation.

Press the Humidity Control Button to set the required humidity level. Repeatedly pressing the Humidity Control Button cycles through the level settings.

HUMIDITY SETTING

The humidity setting sets the level of humidity.

Example: Setting the unit to “60%” will cause it to automatically switch on when the air’s humidity level reaches 60% or higher, and to automatically switch off when the desired level has been reached.

WATER TANK FULL

When the Water Tank Full light is on, the dehumidifier will automatically switch off.

Remove the Water Tank from the front of the dehumidifier and empty it. Re-insert the empty Water Tank to resume operation.

AUTOMATIC DEFROST

When defrosting of the compressor is required, the dehumidifier will automatically switch off and begin its defrosting cycle. The Defrost Light will illuminate.

The dehumidifier will resume operation once defrosting is complete.

DRAINAGE HOSE

Inserting the supplied drainage hose into the Drainage Port on the back of the dehumidifier will redirect collected water, allowing for continuous drainage without the need to manually empty the Water Tank. Place the open end of the drainage hose into a suitable receptacle or drain to remove the outgoing water from the dehumidifier.

NOTE: The drainage hose must be lower than the drainage port for proper operation. Small amounts

of water may still collect in the tank even when continuous drainage is in use.

INTAKE COVER

Lifting the Intake Cover allows more air to flow into the dehumidifier, increasing its efficiency. The level of air intake is adjusted by angling the Intake Cover to increase or reduce how quickly the dehumidifier reaches its humidity setting.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Turn the unit off and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
Remove, empty and rinse the Water Tank with warm water.
Use a soft clean cloth to wipe the unit. Do not use gasoline, paint thinner or other cleaning products to clean the unit.
To clean the filter, carefully remove if from the back of the dehumidifier and clean it with a vacuum cleaner or rinse with cool water. Allow to dry thoroughly before replacing.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS

When the dehumidifier is not in use:

Turn the dehumidifier off and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
Clean and dry the dehumidifier thoroughly as per the cleaning instructions.
Make sure all parts are dry before storing. Do not store with any water in the tank.
Store upright in a cool, dry location.

This appliance is guaranteed for 2 years after your purchase as described in this document.

During this guaranteed period, if in the unlikely event the appliance no longer functions due to a design or manufacturing fault, please take it back to the place of purchase, with your till receipt and a copy of this guarantee.

The rights and benefits under this guarantee are additional to your statutory rights, which are not affected by this guarantee. Only Jarden Consumer Solutions (Europe) Limited (“JCS (Europe)”) has the right to change these terms.

JCS (Europe) undertakes within the guarantee period to repair or replace the appliance, or any part of appliance found to be not working properly free of charge provided that:

you promptly notify the place of purchase or JCS (Europe) of the problem; and
the appliance has not been altered in any way or subjected to damage, misuse, abuse, repair or alteration by a person other than a person authorised by JCS (Europe).

Faults that occur through, improper use, damage, abuse, use with incorrect voltage, acts of nature, events beyond the control of JCS (Europe), repair or alteration by a person other than a person authorised by JCS (Europe) or failure to follow instructions for use are not covered by this guarantee. Additionally, normal wear and tear, including, but not limited to, minor discoloration and scratches are not covered by this guarantee.

The rights under this guarantee shall only apply to the original purchaser and shall not extend to commercial or communal use.
