How to install the Eufy Indoor Cam 2K Pan & Tilt?

Download the Eufy Security app, create an account, then follow the instructions to add the device. Plug in the camera, wait for the beep, and scan the QR code displayed on the app.

Can the camera be used without a cloud subscription?

Yes, you can insert a microSD card (up to 128 GB) to store recordings locally. Cloud storage is optional and paid.

How to reset the camera to factory settings?

Press and hold the Sync button on the back of the camera for about 10 seconds until you hear a beep. The camera will restart and be ready to be set up again.

Does the camera work on 5 GHz Wi-Fi?

No, the Eufy Indoor Cam 2K Pan & Tilt only supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. Make sure your router broadcasts on this band.

How to enable automatic pan and tilt?

In the app, go to camera settings and enable the Pan & Tilt feature. You can also set waypoints (preset movements).

Is night vision in color?

No, night vision is standard black and white. The camera uses infrared LEDs to illuminate the scene.

Can I talk through the camera?

Yes, the camera has a built-in microphone and speaker. You can use the app to have a real-time conversation with someone nearby.

How to protect my privacy with this camera?

You can disable audio recording or hide the camera via the app. The camera uses AES-128 encryption to secure data. Place it in a non-intimate area.

What is the power consumption of the camera?

The power supply is 5 V / 2 A. Typical consumption is about 5 W under normal operation.

Can I mount the camera on the ceiling?

Yes, a mounting bracket is included. You can attach the camera to the ceiling or wall using the provided screws. Orientation can be adjusted via the app.

SETTING UP THE SYSTEM

I. Download the eufy Security app from the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).

1. Sign up a eufy Security account. Go to the app homepage. TapAdd Device, and add the IndoorCam Pan 2K to your system.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.

MOUNTING THE INDOOR CAM

Select a Location for Mounting

The camera can be placed on a table, shelf, or can be mounted on a wall or ceiling. Select a location and height where you can get the desired view, and can reach a power outlet easily.

• Disconnect the Indoor Cam from the power outlet before mounting.
• Keep the Indoor Cam at least 0.7 ft / 20 cm away from walls or anything that may obstruct the view. Do this to avoid infrared reflection which can have a negative impact on the night vision performance.

Mount the Indoor Camera

To mount the Indoor Cam on the ceiling, follow the steps below:

1. Place the positioning card against the ceiling and then mark the points at which drilling will be required.

2 Drill holes with a 5/16" (8 mm) drill bit.

1. Align the holes on the mounting plate with those in the ceiling. Insert the anchors into the holes; anchors are necessary for walls that are made out of hard materials such as concrete, brick, or stucco. Fix the screws with a Phillipshead screwdriver to fasten the mounting plate to the ceiling.

1. Align the grooves with the mounting plate and rotate the Indoor Cam clockwise until it clicks into place.

To mount the Indoor Cam on a wall, we recommend using the mounting bracket (not provided) as the illustration below.

POWERING ON THE INDOOR CAM

Connect the Indoor Cam to a power outlet using the provided USB cable and USB adapter. After being powered on, the Indoor Cam will be connected to the system. When it is successfully connected, the status LED will turn solid blue.

Rotate the Indoor Cam to adjust the view and check it using the live stream which you can access in the eufy Security app. You are now all set to use your Indoor Cam.
