How to charge the D-LI109 battery?
Use the supplied D-BC109 charger. Plug in the power cord, insert the battery with the ▲ mark facing up. The indicator lights up during charging and turns off when complete. The maximum charging time is approximately 240 minutes.
What types of memory cards are compatible?
The camera accepts SD, SDHC, and SDXC cards. For video, use a high-speed card. Format new cards or those used on other devices with the camera.
How to use the built-in flash?
Press the flash pop-up button (▼ button) to raise the flash. Flash modes (auto, forced, red-eye reduction, etc.) are set via the ◀ direct button or menu. Wait until the flash is charged (indicator on).
How to clean the CMOS sensor?
Use the Sensor Cleaning function in the menus to vibrate the sensor. For stubborn dust, use a blower (not aerosol). For professional cleaning, contact PENTAX service center (charged).
What lenses can I use?
DA, DA L, D FA, FA J lenses and those with an A position on the aperture ring (set to A) are compatible. Other lenses may limit some functions.
How to adjust the viewfinder diopter?
Remove the eyecup by pulling it. Look through the viewfinder and slide the diopter adjustment lever until the AF frame is sharp. Replace the eyecup.
How to record a video?
Set the mode dial to . Press the LV button to display Live View, then press the shutter button to start/stop recording. Settings (resolution, frame rate) can be changed in the video menu.
How to transfer photos to a computer?
Connect the camera to the computer via the USB cable. Set the USB connection mode in the menu (MSC or PTP). Use the supplied software (SILKYPIX) or copy the files directly from the card.
