How to charge the battery of the PENTAX Q10?
Use the included D-BC68P charger. Connect the power cord to the charger, then insert the D-LI68 battery with the ▲ mark facing up. The indicator lights up during charging and turns off when charging is complete (approximately 115 minutes).
How to insert an SD memory card?
Make sure the camera is off. Open the card slot cover, insert the card with the label facing the screen until it clicks, then close the cover.
How to use the built-in flash?
Slide the flash pop-up switch to raise the flash. Press the ◀ button in shooting mode to select the desired flash mode (Auto, red-eye reduction, etc.). Then take the photo.
How to change the recording mode?
Turn the mode dial located on the top of the camera. Available positions include AUTO (Auto Picture), SCN (Scene), BC (Blur Control), P, Av, Tv, M, and TAv.
How to clean the lens?
Use a soft brush to remove dust. Never use solvents such as alcohol or gasoline, and avoid sprays that could damage the lens.
Why won't my camera turn on?
Check that the battery is charged and properly inserted. If the message Battery exhausted appears, recharge the battery. Also make sure the battery cover is securely closed.
How to transfer photos to a computer?
Connect the camera to the computer using the supplied USB cable. Turn on the camera and set the USB connection mode in the preferences (MSC or PTP). Then use transfer software such as SILKYPIX Developer Studio.
How to enable burst shooting?
Press the ▶ button (Drive mode) in shooting mode, then select Burst using the navigation button. Press OK to confirm.
How to set the date and time?
Go to the Preferences menu (⚙) > Date setting. Use the navigation buttons to set the format, date, and time. Confirm with OK.
What to do if the memory card is full?
You can delete unwanted images (Ⓞ/☐ button in playback) or format the card in the Preferences menu > Format. Note: formatting erases all data.
