Frequently Asked Questions - Dry L WDH-20 WILFA

What is the extraction capacity of the Wilfa Dry L WDH-20?
The Wilfa Dry L WDH-20 has a moisture extraction capacity of 20 liters per day at standard conditions (30°C, 80% relative humidity).
How do I use the continuous drainage option?
Connect a standard garden hose (not included) to the continuous drainage outlet at the back of the dehumidifier. Ensure the hose runs downward to allow gravity drainage. For permanent installation, you can leave the hose connected and the tank will not fill up.
How often should I clean the filter?
Clean the washable pre-filter at least once a month or more frequently if the air is dusty. A clogged filter reduces efficiency. Remove the filter, rinse with water, and let it dry completely before reinserting.
What is the noise level of this dehumidifier?
The noise level is approximately 40 dB on low fan speed and up to 45 dB on high speed, which is comparable to a quiet conversation.
Can the Wilfa Dry L WDH-20 be used in a basement?
Yes, it is suitable for basements. It operates effectively in temperatures between 5°C and 35°C. In colder basements, the auto defrost function will activate to prevent ice buildup on the coils.
How do I set the desired humidity level?
Press the Humidity Set button repeatedly to cycle through options. You can set the target humidity from 30% to 80% in 5% increments. The display will show the current humidity and the set value.
What does the auto defrost function do?
The auto defrost function automatically detects when the evaporator coils are frosted. It temporarily stops the compressor and runs the fan to melt the ice, ensuring efficient operation even at low temperatures.
How do I empty the water tank?
When the tank is full, the unit beeps and the tank full indicator lights up. Gently pull out the tank from the front, pour the water out, then reinsert it securely. The tank capacity is 2.5 liters.
Is there a timer function?
Yes, you can set a timer to turn the dehumidifier off automatically after 1 to 24 hours. Press the Timer button and use +/- to adjust the hours. The timer can also be used to delay start.
What should I do if the dehumidifier is not collecting water?
First check that the humidity setpoint is lower than the room's current humidity. Ensure the filter is clean and the air intake/exhaust are not blocked. If the room temperature is below 5°C, the dehumidifier may be in defrost mode. Also verify the tank is properly inserted and not full.

WILFA Dry L WDH-20 - SAFETY PRECAUTIONS - 1

  • To realize the function of the air conditioner unit, a special refrigerant circulates in the system. The used refrigerant is the fluoride R290, which is specially cleaned.
  • The refrigerant is flammable and inodorous. Furthermore, it can lead to explosion under certain conditions.
  • Compared to common refrigerants, R290 is a nonpolluting refrigerant with no harm to the ozonosphere. The influence upon the greenhouse effect is also lower. R290 has got very good thermodynamic features which lead to a really high energy efficiency. The units therefore need a less filling.
  • Please refer to the nameplate for the charging quantity of R290.

WARNING:

  • Appliance filled with flammable gas R290.
  • Appliance shall be installed, operated and stored in a room with a floor area

larger than 11m2.
