- Aebleskiver pan
PRIOR TO FIRST USE
- Remove all packaging and transport materials from the inside and outside of the appliance.
- Check that the appliance has no visible damage and that no parts are missing.
- Clean the appliance before using it (see the section “Cleaning” below).
• Completely unwind the cord. - Before using the appliance for the first time, lightly grease the non-stick coating. Turn the appliance on and apply a little fat to the holes before turning the appliance off again and unplugging it. Work the fat in using a piece of kitchen towel or similar whilst the holes are still hot. Make sure that you do not touch the non-slip coating directly as the surface will be hot.
- The appliance is now ready for use.
USING THE APPLIANCE
-
Connect the appliance to mains electricity. The indicator lamp on the appliance will be lit and the aluminium trays will be heated.
-
Add 1 tsp. of melted fat to each hole. Pre-heat the appliance for 3-4 minutes before placing the batter into the holes.
-
Fill the holes 34 full of batter (see recipe below). Be careful not to use too much batter.
-
Turn the Aebleskiver as soon as they have formed a crust and turned golden. There should be enough liquid batter for the Aebleskiver to form an arch on the other side. Turn the Aebleskiver regularly to ensure that they are evenly baked.
o Never use metal utensils to turn the Aebleskiver as they may scratch the non-stick coating of the appliance.
-
Do not touch the hot surface. Use oven gloves when lifting the hot Aebleskiver pan off of the base unit. Place the Aebleskiver pan on a heat resistant surface.
-
Always turn off the appliance using the on/off button, unplug it and leave it to cool when you are finished with it.
Caution!
- Do not make too much batter and make sure the batter is always freshly made - otherwise it can become too thin.
- You may experience a small amount of smoke or odour the first few times the appliance is used. This is due to excess material from the manufacturing process being burnt off. This is completely normal, and the smoke/smell will soon disappear.
