- Please read the instructions for use carefully before using your appliance for the first time and retain them for future reference: The manufacturer will not accept liability and the guarantee will not apply if there is a failure to comply with the instructions.

Unplug the appliance.
- Do not clean the appliance while hot.
- Clean with a damp cloth or sponge.

WARNING: Risk of injury if you do not use the appliance correctly.
- WARNING: After using the appliance do not touch the keep warm plate as this will be hot and should be left to cool down. Always hold the glass jug by the handle during operation. Do not touch the glass until it has cooled down after use.

European directive 2012/19/UE on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances are not thrown into the normal flow of municipal waste. Old appliances must beings collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
- Before plugging the appliance in, make sure that the power it uses corresponds to your electrical supply system and that the outlet is earthed.
- Any error in the electrical connection will negate your guarantee.
- All interventions other than cleaning and everyday maintenance by the customer must be performed by an authorised service centre.
- For your safety, only use the manufacturer's accessories and spare parts designed for your appliance.
- Do not pull on the cord to unplug the appliance.
- Do not fill the appliance with water if it is still hot.
- Always ensure the lid is closed when the coffee maker is operating.
- All appliances are subject to strict quality control procedures. These include actual usage tests on randomly selected appliances, which would explain any traces of use.
- Never put your glass jug or isothermal jug (according to model) in a microwave oven, on a flame or on electric cooking plates.
- Do not use the glass jug or isothermal jug (according to model) without the lid.
- Unplug the appliance when you have finished
using it and when you clean it.

The power cord must never be close to or in contact with the hot parts of your appliance, near a source of heat or left hanging over a sharp edge.

Do not pour hot water in the water tank.

When using the appliance, always place it on a flat, stable, heat-resistant work surface away from water splashes and any sources of heat.
Use
Do not place the jar or isothermal container (depending on model) in a microwave oven, directly on a flame or over an electric stove.
After switching on your coffee maker, never touch the hot plate with your hand when removing the jug from the coffee maker. Whilst in operation, the plate reaches a high temperature and can cause burns. If your device is equipped with isothermal containers (according to model):
To avoid deteriorating the glass bulb of your isothermal container, do not to introduce aggressive utensils inside. Do not put ice cubes or sugar inside the isothermal container unless you do it very carefully and if there is liquid already inside.
Never place your hand inside the isothermal container if the bulb is made of glass.
CAUTION: the safety precautions are part of the appliance. Read them carefully before using your new appliance for the first time. Keep them in a place where you can find and refer to them later on.

Before first use
Remove all packaging, stickers and accessories from the inside and the outside of the appliance.
Operate the coffee-maker for the first time with no coffee, and with the water tanks full (both sides), to rinse out the circuits.
Preparation of coffee
Your appliance is a 2 coffee-maker set, and these can be used independently or together. Your appliance is fitted with glass jugs (according to model):
• Follow the illustrations, from 1 to 9.
- Do not fill the water tank above the max graduation mark.
- The anti-drip system allows you to remove the jug (g) during coffee preparation.
- Return the jug to the coffee-maker without delay, in order to prevent any overflow of the filter holder (e).
- The appliance can be switched off at any time by pressing the start/stop button. The LED will switch OFF.
- At the end of the cycle (i.e. when there is no more water in the tank), the heat will be maintained until it turns off automatically after about 30 minutes for glass jugs and three minutes for thermal jugs. Your appliance is fitted with thermal jugs (according to model):
- Follow the illustrations from 10 to 18.
- Do not fill the water tank above the max graduation mark.
- For better keep warm performances, rinse the thermal jug (i) in hot water before use.
- Remove the filter holder (e), and turn the lid firmly to the right (figure 17).
- To pour, rotate the cover one quarter turn to the left (figure 18).
- At the end of the cycle your appliance will stop automatically.
- Your appliance is equipped with a “reinforced aroma” system on the left side of the appliance, for one to three cups (according to model): The aroma system provide flavoured coffee when you want only 1,2 or 3 cups. For 1 to 3 cups, put the switch (d) to the AROMA 1-3 position (figure 24). For 4 cups or more, keep the switch (d) in OFF position.
Cleaning
Disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Do not clean the appliance when still hot.
- Clean with a damp cloth or sponge.
- Never put the appliance into water on under running water.
- To remove the used grounds or leaves, remove the filter holder from the coffee maker.
- The glass jugs (g), their lids, and the filter holder (e) can be placed in the dishwasher. Cleaning the thermal jugs (according to model): These should be handled with care. Add a little washing-up liquid and water, and shake gently. Stubborn stains can be removed using a soft brush.
- Never clean them with hard objects. Scratches on the glass can cause the interior to break.
- Never put them in the dishwasher, and never immerse them in water. The lids can be placed in the dishwasher.
Descaling
De-scale your appliance once every 40 cycles of use (very hard water) or 80 cycles (soft water). You can use:
- either one sachet of scale remover which can be purchased from a hardware store diluted in 2 large glasses of water,
- or 2 large glasses of white vinegar commercially available
Place the mixture into the water tank of the coffee-maker (without coffee grounds or tea leaves). Allow the equivalent of one glassful to run into the jug (g) or the thermal jug (i) (according to model), and then switch off the coffee-maker. Leave the mixture to work in the appliance for one hour. Restart your coffee-maker to allow the remainder of the mixture to run through. Before using again, operate the appliance 2 or 3 times with clean water, without drinking it (full water tank). Warning: Do not leave the sachet of de-scaler within the reach of children.
Our guarantee excludes coffee-makers which fail to operate due to a lack of descaling.
In case of problems
Check the following:
- The power cord is well plugged into the means,
- The Start/Stop button light on the working side of the appliances is switched ON n If the running time of the water is too long or there is excessive noise: - de-scale the coffee-maker.
If your appliance still does not work, contact an approved service centre.
Accessories
You can obtain the following accessories from your usual retailer or from any approved service centre: Glass jug ref 034, Spare tea filter ref 308.
Disposal of the appliance

Legislation requires that all electrical and electronic equipment must be collected for reuse and recycling. Electrical and electronic equipment marked with the symbol indicating separate collection of such equipment must be returned to a municipal waste collection point.

The Guarantee
OBH Nordica guarantees this product against any manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship during 2 years within Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, starting from the initial date of purchase or delivery date.
This manufacturer's commercial guarantee covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its original specifications, through the repair or replacement of any defective part and the necessary labour. At OBH Nordicas choice, a replacement product may be provided instead of repairing a defective product. OBH Nordicas sole obligation and your exclusive resolution under this guarantee are limited to such repair or replacement.
Conditions & Exclusions
OBH Nordica shall not be obliged to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase.
The defective product may be returned to the store of purchase.
This guarantee applies only for products purchased and used for domestic purposes and will not cover any damage which occurs as a result of misuse, negligence, failure to follow OBH Nordica instructions, or a modification or unauthorised repair of the product, faulty packaging by the owner or mishandling by any carrier. It also does not cover normal wear and tear, maintenance or replacement of consumable parts, or the following:
- using the wrong type of water or consumable
- mechanical damages, overloading
- damages or poor results specifically due to wrong voltage or frequency as stamped on the product ID or specification
- ingress of water, dust or insects into the product
- scaling (any de-scaling must be carried out according to the instructions for use)
- damage as a result of lightning or power surges
- damage to any glass or porcelain ware in the product
- accidents including fire, flood, etc
- professional or commercial use
Consumer Statutory Rights
OBH Nordica's commercial guarantee does not affect the Statutory Rights a consumer may have or those rights that cannot be excluded or limited, nor rights against the retailer from which the consumer purchased the product.
This guarantee gives a consumer specific legal rights, and the consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from Country to Country. The consumer may assert any such rights at his sole discretion.
