Use
Position the kitchen machine on an even and dry surface before switching it on. Set the speed selector at 0 and make sure that the appliance is not connected to a power socket when mounting the bowl and the accessory. Pull the release handle in the direction of the arrow and put the mixer head in vertical position. Put the bowl in the bracket on the kitchen machine. Turn the bowl clockwise until it is firmly attached to the bowl bracket.
Mount the accessory you want (stirrer, dough hook or whisk) on the coupling. Press the accessory upwards and turn anticlockwise to attach it to the coupling.
Add ingredients. Take care not to overfill the bowl Max quantity is 2.3 kg. (dough liquid appr. 1.5 l). Press the release handle to lower the mixer head and keep your hand on the mixer head when it is lowered into the bowl and connect to a power socket. Mount the splash guard by pressing it firmly on to the mixer head in such a way that the feeding hole is positioned as shown in the fig. below:

See instructions as to selection of speed later in the manual. Make sure that there are always ingredients in the bowl before switching on the kitchen machine.
Follow the instructions of the recipe. When the mixing/whipping is ready, turn the on/off button to 0 and unplug. Press the release handle and put the mixer head in vertical position and remove the accessory. Remove the bowl from the bracket by turning the bowl anticlockwise, then remove the splash guard.
Note: When mixing heavy types of dough, the machine should only be used for 10 minutes at a time, and then let it cool for 30 minutes.
Overheating
The kitchen machine comprises a thermostat to ensure a long lifetime of the appliance and which is activated if the motor is overloaded. If the thermostat is activated, switch off the appliance and unplug. Wait for 30 minutes before you switch on the appliance again.
Clean the parts in accordance with the instructions given in the section "Cleaning and maintenance".
Setting of speed
Plug the appliance. We recommend that you always start at the lowest speed and then increase the speed one step at a time. Put the splash guard on the bowl to avoid splashing. See the table below as to recommended settings of speed.
Use of accessories
The guide below offers suggestions for speed settings. Start at the MIN setting and increase the speed depending on the ingredients.
Content Accessory Speed
Cakes (cake mixtures or home-made)
Stirrer 3
Shortcrust pastry Stirrer 3
Mashed potatoes Stirrer 4
Icing Stirrer 4
Egg whites Whisk 6
Double cream Whisk 6
Bread dough Dough hook 1
Put all liquid ingredients in the bowl first and then add the dry ingredients. Always stay close to the kitchen machine during use. Always add ingredients as close to the sides of the bowl as possible and not direct into the rotating tool.
Mixtures that contain a big amount of liquid should be processed at low speed. Do not increase the speed until the mixture has thickened.
For heavy types of dough, use the medium speed. Switch off the kitchen machine regularly to clean ingredients off the sides by using a dough spatula.
Shortcrust pastry is one of the thickest types of dough, but you can make the mixing easier by:
- Adding butter or margarine of room temperature.
- Adding the ingredients one at a time and mixing the ingredients well before adding a new ingredient.
- Adding one dl of flour at a time.
If there is any difficulty in mixing the dough, decrease the speed.
If an error occurs or something gets stuck in the tool or the motor stops. Switch off the appliance and unplug. Solve the problem or reduce the quantity in the bowl. Let the motor cool for 5 minutes before you switch on the kitchen machine again.
Use the whisk for whipping egg whites, cream or similar. Do not use the whisk for whipping heavy mixtures such as cake dough or mashed potatoes. Always keep an eye on the result when you whip/mix, as the wanted result can be reached very quickly.
Adjustment of whip, dough hook and stirrer
The distance from the accessory to the bottom of the bowl is set at the standard height when delivered from the factory. If you want to, the height can be adjusted:
- Switch off the appliance and unplug.
- Lift the mixing head and mount the wanted accessory.
- Hold on to the accessory with one hand and at the same time loosen the nut by means of a shifting spanner, see fig.
- Lower the mixer head and adjust the height by turning the accessory itself. The best thing is that it almost touches the bottom of the bowl.

Do not use aggressive or scratching detergents, as such products may scratch and dull the surface. Wipe all parts thoroughly before storing the kitchen machine.
IMPORTANT: NEVER IMMERSE THE MOTOR PART IN ANY KIND OF LIQUID!
