Frequently Asked Questions - TPA-2000 TecLime

How do I install the TPA-2000 air conditioner?
Installation involves attaching the exhaust hose to the unit and window kit. Adjust the window kit to fit your window, close the window onto the kit, and plug in the unit. Refer to the manual for detailed steps.
Why is my air conditioner not cooling?
Possible causes: dirty air filter, blocked exhaust hose, or low refrigerant. Clean the filter and ensure the exhaust hose is straight and not kinked. If the issue persists, contact TecLime support.
How often should I clean the air filter?
Clean the air filter every two weeks under normal use. More frequent cleaning may be needed in dusty environments. A dirty filter reduces efficiency.
Does the TPA-2000 have a dehumidifier mode?
Yes, it has a Dry mode that functions as a dehumidifier. Use it in humid conditions without the need to cool the air.
How do I use the remote control?
Insert two AAA batteries (not included). Point the remote at the unit’s receiver. Use buttons to: power on/off, adjust temperature, select mode, set timer, and control fan speed.
What does the timer function do?
The timer allows you to set the unit to turn on or off after a specified delay (1-24 hours). Press the Timer button and use +/- to set the desired time.
Is the TPA-2000 energy efficient?
It has an approximate EER of 2.6, which is standard for portable ACs. For better efficiency, use the Sleep mode at night and keep doors/windows closed.
Why is water leaking from my air conditioner?
In high humidity, the unit may collect water in the internal bucket. Drain the bucket when the ‘Full’ indicator lights. Ensure the unit is level and the drain plug is secure.
Can I use an extension cord?
It is not recommended. Use a dedicated 15-amp outlet. If necessary, use a heavy-duty 14-gauge cord no longer than 10 feet. Avoid overloading.
How loud is the TPA-2000?
Noise levels range from 48 dB (low fan) to 54 dB (high fan), similar to a conversation or light traffic. Use Sleep mode for quieter operation at night.
