Can I play MP3 discs on the Pioneer DEH-2910MP?

Yes, the DEH-2910MP supports playback of MP3, WMA, and WAV files recorded on CD-ROM discs. Ensure the discs are finalized and use ISO 9660 Level 1 or 2, Romeo, or Joliet file systems.

How do I detach the front panel to prevent theft?

Press the DETACH button to release the front panel, then gently pull it off. Store it in the provided protective case. To reattach, slide the left side into the head unit until it clicks, then press the right side until it is firmly seated.

What is RDS and how do I use it on this unit?

RDS (Radio Data System) provides services like station name, traffic announcements, and alternative frequency search. Press TA to toggle traffic announcements; press and hold TA to toggle AF (alternative frequency search). Press DISPLAY to cycle through program service name, PTY information, and frequency.

How can I adjust the equalizer settings?

Press the EQ button repeatedly to cycle through preset equalizer curves: DYNAMIC, VOCAL, NATURAL, CUSTOM, FLAT, and POWERFUL. To customize, adjust bass, mid, and treble levels using the AUDIO button and the arrow buttons. Your custom curve is stored in CUSTOM.

Can I connect an external audio device to the DEH-2910MP?

Yes, the unit has a 3.5 mm AUX input jack on the front panel. To use it, connect your device and select AUX as the source. You may need to enable the AUX setting in the initial settings menu (hold SOURCE then press FUNCTION to find AUX).

The display shows 'ERROR-11'. What should I do?

ERROR-11 usually indicates a dirty or scratched disc. Try cleaning the disc with a soft cloth from the center outward. If the error persists, replace the disc. If it continues, turn the ignition off and on, or switch to another source and back to the CD player.

How do I store and recall radio stations?

While listening to a station you want to store, press and hold one of the preset tuning buttons 1 to 6 until the preset number stops flashing. To recall, simply press the button. You can also use the BSM function to automatically store the six strongest stations.

Can I save battery power with this unit?

Yes, enable Power Save mode in the initial settings. Press and hold SOURCE to turn off the unit, then press and hold SOURCE again until the function name appears. Use FUNCTION to select SAVE, then press ▲ to turn it on. Note: If the battery is disconnected, Power Save mode is cancelled and must be reactivated.

What file formats are supported for WMA playback?

The unit supports WMA files encoded by Windows Media Player versions 7, 7.1, 8, 9, or 10. Bitrate range: 48–320 kbps (CBR) or 48–384 kbps (VBR). Sampling frequency: 32–48 kHz. Note: WMA Professional, Lossless, and Voice formats are not supported.

How do I use the random play feature?

First, select the repeat range by pressing FUNCTION and using ◄ or ► to choose DISC (repeat all), TRK (repeat track), or FLD (repeat folder). Then press FUNCTION again to select RDM and press ▲ to turn random play on. RDM appears in the display. Press ▼ to turn it off.
