How do I pair the weather station with the Tuya Smart app?

First, ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and Bluetooth is on. Power on the station, then long-press the top snooze/backlight/network button for 3 seconds until the network symbol flashes. Open the Tuya app, tap 'Add Device', wait for discovery, select your Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and follow the prompts. The station will then synchronize weather data.

Why is the weather forecast not showing on the display?

The weather forecast requires a stable internet connection via the Tuya app. Make sure the station is connected to Wi-Fi and the app is running. If the forecast disappears, try refreshing the device connection in the Tuya app or re-pair the station. Also ensure your Wi-Fi network is 2.4 GHz.

Can I add more than one outdoor sensor?

Yes, the main unit supports up to 3 outdoor wireless transmitters. Each sensor must be set to a different channel (1, 2, or 3) via the channel selector inside the battery compartment. The sensors are automatically recognized after power-up. Use the CH button on the main unit to cycle through sensor readings.

What does the comfort level indicator mean?

The comfort level is based on indoor temperature and humidity. A smiley face indicates comfortable conditions (temperature 20-27°C, humidity 40-70%). A sad face appears when humidity is below 40% or temperature is outside the comfortable range. This helps you adjust your indoor environment.

How do I change the temperature unit from Celsius to Fahrenheit?

You can switch between °C and °F using the Tuya Smart app. Open the app, go to the device control page, and tap the 'Unit Conversion' button at the bottom. The change will update on the weather station display.

What should I do if the outdoor sensor reading shows '--'?

This means the main unit is not receiving the sensor signal. First, check that the sensor has fresh batteries and is within 80 meters of the main unit. Ensure no interference from other devices (e.g., monitors at 433.92 MHz). Press and hold the CH button for 3 seconds to rescan. Also avoid placing the sensor near metal window frames.

Can I use the weather station on battery power only?

Yes, the main unit can operate on 3 x 1.5V AA batteries (not included). However, when using battery power, the backlight will only stay on for 10 seconds after pressing the button. For full functionality and constant backlight, it is recommended to use the included AC adapter.

How do I reset or factory reset the weather station?

There is no dedicated reset button. To perform a reset, remove all power sources (AC adapter and batteries) from the main unit, wait a few minutes, then reconnect. This will clear all settings and data. You will need to re-pair with the Tuya app and set up alarms again.

Why is the indoor temperature reading inaccurate?

Ensure the indoor unit is placed in a dry area, away from direct sunlight, heat sources (e.g., radiators), and vents. The sensor accuracy is ±1°C between 0-50°C. If the reading seems off, remove the batteries for a few minutes and reinsert them to reset the sensor.

What is the range of the outdoor sensor and how often does it transmit?

The maximum wireless range is 80 meters in open space. The sensor transmits every 114 seconds (channel 1), 134 seconds (channel 2), or 158 seconds (channel 3). The signal can be obstructed by walls, metal, or other electronics.

13. Battery

Install all batteries correctly, + and - as marked on the apparatus.

Power setting

Plug the supplied AC/DC power adaptor into an AC household outlet to get power. Connect the DC connector of the power adaptor to the DC power input jack on the side of the rear panel, and manage the power cord through the opened cave. The display will light up, and the unit is ready to work for you.

Open the battery compartment cover of the outdoor wireless transmitter. Insert 2 x AA batteries into the compartment according to the correct polarity shown inside. (Batteries are included.) We recommend using high-quality alkaline batteries for the best product performance. Heavy-duty or rechargeable batteries are not recommended.

The main unit can also work with dry battery power only. Open the battery door on the rear panel, insert 3 x AA batteries (not included) according to the engraved negative and positive polarity. Then the unit will light up and be ready to work for you. The battery power also backs up the settings.

Receive signal from outdoor wireless transmitter

The main unit can detect and receive the outdoor temperature and humidity wireless signal from the transmitter automatically after power setting is ready. It will take a maximum of 3 minutes for signal searching. The signal symbol (nearby outdoor icon) will flash on the display during searching and becomes stable after getting the signal. The wireless symbol will disappear after 3 minutes if no available signal is received, and outdoor temperature and humidity data will show "- -" on the display. If you need to reconnect the wireless signal, press and hold the channel button for 3 seconds on the side of the main unit. The unit will scan and reconnect the wireless signal one by one.

Placement and important notes:

1. Important: The main unit can work and connect with up to 3 outdoor wireless transmitters (only one wireless transmitter is included). Open the battery door of the wireless transmitter to see and adjust the channel (3 channels available). If you have 2 or 3 wireless transmitters, you must set each to a different channel for them to work at the same time. Short press the channel button on the side panel to check and switch the data from different outdoor wireless transmitters.
2. Please use and place the main unit or transmitter device 1.5~2 meters away from interference sources like computer monitors or TV sets. Please also place the main unit standing up, far away from metal window frames.
3. Please do not use other electronic products such as headphones or speakers operating at the same signal frequency (433.92MHz), which may cause interference. Your neighbors using electronic devices operating on the same signal frequency (433.92MHz) can also cause interference.
4. To ensure accurate temperature measurement, place the device in a dry area, free of dirt and dust. Place it out of direct sunlight and away from heat sources or vents.
5. You can install the wireless transmitter outdoors. For better accuracy of use, please place

the sensor lengthwise/standing up at least 1.5~2 meters above the ground, with enough air flow and protection from rain. Do not expose the sensor to direct sunlight for a long time.

1. The maximum working distance of the wireless transmitter is 80 meters away from the main unit.
2. The wireless signal from the transmitter will refresh every 114 (channel 1) / 134 (channel 2) / 158 (channel 3) seconds in a cycle.

Download TUYA APP and configuration

Important: Before starting to download the app and pairing the device, please make sure your smartphone is connected to a 2.4G or 2.4/5G hybrid Wi-Fi network, and turn on the Bluetooth function on your phone as well. It cannot work or support under a 5GHz network.

TUYA smart APP: Using your smart phone to scan the QR code below and download the "Tuya smart" APP (depending on IOS or Android system) on your device. You can also search for "Tuya smart" in the Apple Store or Google Play to download the app. Tap and run the app on your device, check and agree to the app's terms, then register or log in to your account as requested.

Pairing and configuration: Power on the main unit, long press the top snooze/backlight/network button (touch button) for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode, and the network symbol will flash on the display. Open and log in to the Tuya smart app on your device, tap "Add Device" (see photo A) and search for the device in the app (it may ask for location access, please agree). Check the discovered device list and tap the "Add" button (see photo B). Select your home Wi-Fi network name and enter the password as prompted. The weather station will pair with the app, then press "Done" (see photos D and E). The app will start configuration and transfer local city 5-day weather forecast, UV index, temperature data, etc., to the weather station display.

Using the Tuya app to control the weather station

Alarm/snooze: You can set up to 3 alarms from the app as described below. The buzzer will sound from the weather station when the alarm time is reached. Short press any button to cancel the alarm sound, but it will sound again at the same time the next day. Short press the top snooze/backlight/network button to enter snooze mode, and it will sound again after 5 minutes. The alarm sound will last for 2 minutes and turn off automatically if no further action is taken.

Others: You can also set and view indoor and outdoor temperature alerts, indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity graph curves, and switch between temperature units °C (Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit)

unit conversion function from the app by pressing the relevant button at the bottom of the home interface. If you set and enable the temperature alert function in the app, the unit will alert with a buzzer sound. Short press the top snooze/backlight/network button to cancel the sound, but the temperature data will keep flashing on the display until it is out of the set alert range.

Important notes:

a. Both the weather station and your smart phone should connect and work under the same Wi-Fi network.

b. If you take your smart phone outside, the weather station can still connect and work with your Wi-Fi network alone.

c. If you change your Wi-Fi network or Wi-Fi password, you will need to repair the weather station with your smart phone. You can delete the device from the Tuya app first, then repair and add it from the app based on the instructions above in this manual.

d. If weather forecast information is lost or incomplete on the display, try opening the Tuya smart app, refresh, and reconnect the device.

e. You can rename the device by tapping the pencil icon below in the app.

Other settings

Week language: short and repeat press the setup button on side panel to switch the week language(7 types)

Backlight brightness: in AC/DC power adaptor mode, short press the top snooze/backlight/network button to adjust the backlight brightness between high/middle/low level. In battery power mode, Short press top snooze/backlight/network button can make the display light on and off after 10 seconds.

Low battery indicator: when the battery symbol shows next the outdoor temperature which means low battery power in outdoor wireless transmitter; when the battery symbol shows next to indoor temperature which means low battery power for main unit if you use battery power. Please replace it with fresh batteries.( This product work with APP, it will check and download data from internet frequently, highly recommend to use the product connect with AC/DC power adaptor.)

Troubleshooting

Doesn't display anything. ✦ Check if the AC/DC power adaptor connect with unit properly.
Temperature/humidity from outdoor sensor not displayed.	◇ Check that the distance between the thermometer and sensor doesn’t exceed 30m.◇ Make sure that the devices are located at least 2m from monitors and TV sets.◇ Avoid placing the devices on or close to window frames made of metal.◇ Avoid using electronic devices such as loudspeakers which operate at the same frequency (433.92MHz), close to the devices.◇ Please double check if the wireless transmitter was set up in different channels each other◇ Remove the batteries, wait a while and then reinsert them.
