How do I descale the kettle?

Mix 0.5 L of 6% or 10% vinegar, boil in the kettle, let sit for 30 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Repeat if scale remains.

What should I do if the kettle doesn't turn on?

Check that the base is properly plugged into a 220-240 V outlet and that the kettle is seated correctly on the base. If it still doesn't work, allow the kettle to cool down (about 15 minutes) after boil-dry protection kicks in.

Can I use the kettle without the filter?

No, the kettle must always be used with the anti-deposit filter in place to prevent scale from entering your drink.

How many times should I boil water before first use?

Before first use, fill the kettle to max, boil, discard water, and repeat four times with fresh water each time. Then wash the kettle.

Is the kettle safe to leave plugged in?

The kettle automatically shuts off after boiling. However, for safety, unplug it when not in use and do not leave the cord hanging over counter edges.

What type of water can I use?

Use fresh, cold water only. Do not fill above the max level or below the min level to avoid damage.

Safety precautions and instructions on the proper use of the electric kettle

Always abide by the following basic safety measures during the operation of the electric appliance:

Special attention is necessary when the kettle is used in the presence of children.

Do not operate the appliance if the power cord is damaged or the kettle body is visibly damaged.

Preparation of the electric kettle for operation

before the first use, wash the kettle (for washing instructions see "Cleaning maintenance"), fill it with water up to the "max" level, and let it boil four times (use fresh water each time) and wash again.

Operating instructions of the electric kettle (Fig. B)

① Press the lid button (4) – the kettle lid will open.
② Place the filter (10) in the kettle – if it was taken out before.
③ Fill the kettle up with the desired amount of water (the level is visible on the indicator (7)).

If further use of the kettle is anticipated, it is not necessary to remove the plug of the connecting cord from the power socket.

The rising of the water level in the kettle is delayed in relation to the speed of pouring the water. It is caused by the filter slowing down the speed of the flow. This can be prevented by pouring the last portions of water extremely carefully before the water reaches the maximum level on the indicator.

In the event that an empty kettle is switched on, it will be switched off by a thermal device automatically.

In order to switch the kettle on again after it has cooled down (approx. 15 minutes), take it off the base, replace it and switch the kettle on by pressing the lever (8). The cooling down of the kettle can be accelerated by puring cold water into the kettle.

Cleaning and maintenance (Fig. C)

In order to remove the build-up of hard water film from the outside and inside walls of the kettle, wipe them with a cloth moistened with vinegar.

Filter replacement – descaling

In the event that scale builds up on the bottom of the kettle, it needs to be removed. 6% or 10% vinegar is used for this purpose.

• Open the lid (4).
  Take out the filter (10).
• Wash the filter under running water.
  on Pthe in 0.5 l of vinegar and switch on the kettle (8).
• Boil the vinegar and leave in the kettle for about 30 minutes.
• Pour the vinegar out and rinse the kettle with fresh water.
• Fill the kettle up with fresh water, boil the water and pour it out after is has boiled.
• Repeat the above procedure if there still is scale on the bottom.
• When the procedure is finished, replace the filter (10) in the kettle, following the procedure of taking the filter out in reverse order.

In order to do it: put the cardboard packing into recycling paper container; put the polyethylene (PE) bags into container for plastic.
