How do I use the Wilfa WSP-1A coffee maker for the first time?

What type of coffee grind should I use?

How do I descale the coffee maker?

Use a commercially available descaling detergent and follow the instructions. Descaling should be done regularly, especially in areas with hard water, to maintain warranty.

Why does the pump make noise at the start and end of brewing?

The Wilfa SVART Presisjon has a unique pump that pulls water through the system. It may emit some sound at the beginning and end of the brewing process, which is normal.

How do I clean the coffee maker?

Unplug the appliance before cleaning. The filter holder, coffee jug, and lid can be washed in hot soapy water or placed on the top rack of the dishwasher. Wipe the body with a damp cloth without additives. Never use abrasive cleaners.

Can I use the coffee jug on a hob or in a microwave?

No, never use the coffee jug on a hob or in a microwave. It is designed only for use with the coffee maker.

What water should I use in the coffee maker?

Always use cold, fresh water. Do not use hot or warm water. Fill the removable water tank to the desired level using the water scale on the side.

How can I make the coffee hotter?

To achieve even hotter coffee, rinse the coffee jug with hot water before brewing. This preheats the jug and helps maintain temperature.

Congratulations on your new Wilfa SVART Presisjon coffee maker.

With the optimal brewing temperature of 92^ C – 96^ C will give you the best coffee experience. For many, coffee is an important part of everyday life and is often used in social contexts, and what could be better then, than to serve a perfect cup of coffee.

• Read the instructions carefully before using the appliance, and keep the instructions including the warranty, receipt, and if possible the box with inner packaging.
  ■ This appliance is designed for private use, and for the intended application. It is not suitable for commercial use.
• Keep the appliance away from heat sources, direct sunlight, moisture and sharp edges.
  ■ Do not use with wet hands. Unplug immediately if the unit is damp or wet. Do not immerse in water.
  ■ Do not use outdoors.
  ■ When the unit is cleaned or put away, it must be turned off and the plug must be pulled out of the socket (pull the plug, not the cable).
• Check device and cable regularly for damage. Do not use if it is damaged.

Wilfa SVART Presisjon is equipped with a unique pump that always ensures you fresh water every time you brew coffee.

• Set Wilfa SVART Presisjon on a flat surface.
• Fill the removable water tank with fresh cold water; use the water scale on the side.
• Place the coffee filter (1x4) in the filter holder. Use desired quantity of coffee in the filter.
• We recommend that you use ground coffee, about 60 g per liter of water. Try out the first times until you find out how much coffee you think is best. We also recommend that you use our Wilfa Gram Stål scale that gives 1g intervals for best results.
  • We recommend the following ratios of water and coffee:

$$ 1 \mid - 6 0 g $$

$$ 0, 7 5 \mathrm{l} - 4 5 \mathrm{g} $$

$$ 0, 5 \mid - 3 0 g $$

Please note that different grinds and coffee types will influence these ratios somewhat.

• Set the flow control in relation to water/coffee.
• Turn the power switch on. "Start" button will blink twice.
• Press the start button to start to brewing process.
• Wilfa SVART Presisjon has a unique pump that pulls water through the system from the first to the last drop. The pump can emit some sound at the start and at the end.
• When the brewing process is complete, the unit will go to a "keep warm" position for up to 40 minutes.
• By setting the flow control to the right, it will act as a drip stop.
• The coffee should be served fresh.
• Turn of the power switch, when you are finished using the maker.

Tips

• You can also use our Wilfa NYMALT coffee grinder to change the degree of grind of the coffee. This will also change extraction time.
  • Always use fresh coffee. For best results, the coffee you use is freshly ground.
• To wish for even hotter coffee, the coffee jug can be rinsed in hot water before brewing.

Cleaning

• Use a cleaning product for coffee. Remember to brew through with clean water after the cleaning process.
• If necessary, the device may be cleaned with a damp cloth without any additives.
• Filter holder, coffee jug and lid can be washed in hot soapy water or placed at the top in the dishwasher.
• Never wash other parts of the device in the dishwasher. Never use strong detergents, scouring powders, steel wool or other release agents on any part of the maker.

Descaling

• Use a commercially available descaling detergent.
• Descaling should be done, as needed. In areas with hard water, descaling must be done regularly.
