Frequently Asked Questions - MOV:E Bachmann

How do I turn on the MOV:E power unit?

Press and hold the ON/OFF sensor button for about 3-5 seconds. The battery status LEDs will flash to indicate the current charge level.

Can I charge the MOV:E with a different charger?

No, only use the supplied power supply unit (24 V DC, 5 A) or the optional MOV:E charging station (item no. 702.5200). Using other chargers may cause fire or injury.

How long does it take to fully charge the power unit?

Charging takes approximately 2-3 hours. The LED indicator lights up blue during charging.

What should I do if the device overheats?

Switch off the MOV:E power unit immediately and allow it to cool down. If the problem persists, contact Bachmann customer service.

Can I use the MOV:E while it is charging?

The manual does not explicitly mention pass-through charging. It is recommended to fully charge the unit before use.

How do I clean the MOV:E power unit?

Clean only with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use chemicals or detergents.

What are the storage conditions?

Store in a cool, dry place below 45 °C and below 60% relative humidity.

What should I do at the end of the product's life?

Do not dispose of with household waste. Return to Bachmann GmbH or hand it in at municipal collection points for electrical waste. Follow WEEE guidelines.

Can I repair the MOV:E myself?

What does the optional MOV:E charging station do?

The MOV:E charging station (item no. 702.5200) provides an alternative way to charge the power unit. It connects to the same power supply and charges the unit in about 2-3 hours.

General information This manual enables safe and proper operation of the MOV:E energy store (item no.: 702.5000, 702.5001, 702.5002, 702.5003). Hereinafter called the "MOV:E power unit". This manual is part of the MOV:E power unit and must therefore be kept. If the MOV:E Power Unit is passed on to third parties, this manual must also be included.

1. Read the entire manual before using the product.

3. Do not store the product in a hot place (above 45 °C) or in humid environments (above 60% relative humidity).

4. Operation

4.1 Charging

Please ensure that the MOV:E power unit is fully charged before using it for the first time. When the charge level is low, the first LED in the control panel flashes.

Charge the MOV:E power unit using the power supply unit supplied.

During the charging process, the LED indicator lights up blue.

Please note: During the charging process, the energy store must stand vertically on a solid and dry surface.

Charging time: up to 100% approx. 2-3 hours

We also recommend using the optional MOV:E charging station (item no. 702.5200)

Charging option with optional charging station (Art.Nr. 702.5200) (not included in the scope of delivery)

Note: Charge the MOV:E Power Unit only with the power supply unit supplied.

4.2 Operation

ON / OFF "Switch on/off sensor" for approx. 3-5 seconds by pressing the button. The battery status LEDs flash until the current charge level is determined.

After approx. 15 minutes without a plug (device), the MOV:E Power Unit switches off automatically.

As soon as a plug (device) is plugged in, the connected device is supplied with power.

Open the connection panel by pressing and turning the cover.

8. Cleaning

The MOV:E power unit and MOV:E charging station (optional available) should only be cleaned with a dry, soft cloth.

9. Maintenance and repairs

The MOV:E charging station must always be serviced or repaired by BACHMANN customer service.

• Do not service or repair the MOV:E power unit or MOV:E charging station (optional available) yourself
• If the MOV:E power unit and MOV:E charging station (optional available) needs to be serviced or repaired: contact Bachmann GmbH customer service

10. Return/disposal

The defective MOV:E power unit is subject to WEEE guidelines and must not be disposed of alongside normal household waste. Return the MOV:E power unit to Bachmann GmbH for correct disposal or hand it in free of charge as electrical waste at municipal collection points.

• Contact BACHMANN customer service and request a return
  • Make sure that the MOV:E power unit is switched off before shipping
