Safety

  • Never use the hand blender for longer than 1 minute at a time. Switch the hand blender off and let the motor cool down for a minute before using it again.
  • Incorrect use of the hand blender could result in personal injury.
  • Great care should be exercised when handling and cleaning the blade and the mixing stem. The blade is very sharp.
  • The hand blender should always be disconnected from the mains when it is not in use, when it is to be assembled/disassembled and when it is to be cleaned.
  • The hand blender must not be used by children. Ensure that the hand blender and its mains lead are kept out of children's reach.
  • The hand blender must only be used together with the included charger and charging stand.
  • Note: Ensure that the hand blender is switched off before the mixing stem is removed from the motor unit.
  • Wash the mixing stem, blade and any other accessories with warm soapy water.
  • Switch the hand blender off and remove the mixing stem from the motor unit before changing accessories or handling any of the moving parts.

Operating instructions

The battery must be charged before initial use. The battery is uncharged when sold.

Note: Remember that the blade is very sharp.

Blending

  1. Fit the mixing stem (6) onto the motor unit (4). The mixing stem and motor unit have markings (▼▲), twist the parts to align the two arrows. Check that the motor unit release catch (5) is locked by pulling the mixing stem a little.
  2. Chop the ingredients up into small pieces before putting them in the blending vessel. Bear in mind that the choice of vessel is important, select a vessel that is tall and narrow for blending fruit. Always hold the hand blender vertical to avoid unnecessary spills.
  3. Hold the mixing stem against the bottom of the vessel and press in the safety catch (2). Then hold in [⏻] (3) to switch the hand blender on. The indicator lamp will light when the hand blender is on.
  4. Release [⏻] (3) to switch the hand blender off.
  5. Never use the hand blender for longer than 1 minute at a time. Switch the hand blender off and let the motor cool down for about 1 minute before using it again.
  6. Clean the hand blender and place it back in the charging stand (refer to the Cleaning section).

Note: The hand blender must not be run with no load for more than 15 seconds at a time. Otherwise the guarantee will be void.

Charging

  1. If the red indicator lamp (1) comes on, the hand blender needs charging.
  2. Place the hand blender in the charging stand (8). The blender can be charged with or without the mixing stem attached.
  3. The indicator lamp (1) will flash whilst charging is in progress, it will shine steadily once the blender has been charged.
  4. Unplug the battery charger from the power point once the charging has been completed.

Note: The battery is protected against deep discharge. A fully discharged battery must be charged for at least 15 minutes before the hand blender can be used again.

If you do not intend to use the hand blender for a while you should ensure that the battery is not completely discharged. The battery can be damaged if it remains discharged for an extended period.

Cleaning

  1. Press in the release catch (5) and detach the mixing stem before cleaning.
  2. Rinse the blade and mixing stem in lukewarm running water and then wipe dry. The blade is very sharp and should be handled with extreme care.
  3. Wipe the motor unit (4) with a soft, moist cloth. If necessary, use a mild detergent. Never use solvents or strong, abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning as these can damage the hand blender.
  4. Assemble the hand blender and place it in the charging stand where it be stored until it is needed again. Charge the battery and then disconnect the charger from the power point.

Note: Neither the motor unit, nor the charger nor the charging stand are to be immersed in water or other liquid.
