DC and AC voltage measurement
Connect the black connector to "COM", the red connector to the "VΩHz" socket. Set the function selector switch to the "V" position. Normally, the automatic metering range switch is active, which is indicated by "AUTO" on the display. Press the "RANGE" button to manually set the measurement range and the "SELECT" button to select the DC and AC modes. Connect the testers in parallel with the power source for the measurement time.
DC and AC current measurement
Connect the black wire to "COM" and the red wire to the "mA" or "10A" socket, max. 600 mA or for max 10A measurements. Set the function switch to the appropriate measuring range, uA, mA or 10A. Normally, the automatic metering range switch is active, which is indicated by "AUTO" on the display. Press the "RANGE" button to manually set the measurement range and the "SELECT" button to select the DC and AC modes. Connect the testers in series to the circuit to be measured.
Frequency and fill factor measurement
Connect the black connector to "COM", the red connector to the "VΩHz" socket. Frequency and fill factor measurement available for the following functions: "V", "uA", "mA", "10A", rotate the function selector switch. Press the "SELECT" button to set the alternating waveform first, then use the "HZ/%" button to select the measurement. Connect the testers in parallel with the power source for the measurement time.
Non-contact frequency measurement
Connect the red connector to the "VΩHz" socket. Turn the function selector switch to the NCF mode and then approach the front of the instrument (NCV/NCF) to 1-2 centimeters to the wire to be measured. The measured value can be read from the display.
Non-contact AC voltage detection
Turn the function selector switch to NCV mode and then approach the front of the instrument (NCV/NCF) to 1-2 centimeters to the wire to be measured. In the case of detection, the display of the instrument flashes red and beeps intermittently. The more often there is a sound and light signal the better the result. The display shows 4 horizontal lines indicating the hit, the higher the value being the more secure.
Resistance, tear and diode, capacity measurement
Connect the black connector to "COM", the red connector
to the "VΩHz" socket. Turn the function selector switch to „Ω → /•|”. Use the "SELECT" button to set the measurement type. For diode measurement, the instrument shows the opening voltage of the diode or "OL" in the closing direction. In case of a break test, the instrument outputs a beeping sound if the measured value is less than 50 ohms. For resistance measurements, wait for a few seconds for measurements of mega ohm while the measured value is stabilized on the display. By pressing the "RANGE" button you can manually select the measuring range, press and hold to return to automatic mode. Before capacitor measurement, discharge the capacitors in any case, otherwise the voltage stored inside them can damage the instrument. For larger capacities, the measurement may take several seconds.
Display maximum and minimum values
After finishing measurements, you have the option of calling the largest, smallest, and different values. Press the "MAX/MIN" button to display the desired value. MAX - maximum, MIN - minimum, MAX-MIN - difference value
Relative measurement method
During measurement, press the "REL" button to activate the relative measurement, the instrument from there uses the previous measurement as a starting point.
Data hold
During measurement, press the "HOLD" button so that the measured value remains on the display even after removing the measuring testers. Press again to reset the measurement.
Backlight
To turn on the backlight, press the "HOLD" button for a long time. It will switch off approx. after 15 seconds, it is automatically turns off.
Automatic switch off
The instrument automatically switches off for approx. after 5 minutes. Press "SELECT" repeatedly to switch on.
Smart mode, wireless Bluetooth connection
The instrument is suitable for storing and displaying measurements on an external device. In any mode of the instrument, press and hold the "TX" button for a long time. The Tx display on the display indicates the activation of the wireless Bluetooth connection.
An app for Android and iOS can be downloaded from Play Market and AppStore: „MAXWELL MULTIMETERS”

SAFETY NOTES
This appliance is manufactured according to the IEC1010 standard (standard safety standards of the International Electrotechnical
Commission). Please read the following safety precautions before use:
- When measuring voltage, never use the unit to measure a value higher than 1000V DC or AC 600V AC.
- Voltage below 36V is safe. Please check grounding, connection, and insulation when you have a direct current greater than 36V or an AC current of more than 25V to avoid electric shock.
- Verify that the test leads are not connected while selecting a function or measuring range.
- The device also has a protective function, but you also need to be careful about your safety.
- When measuring current, make sure that you do not connect higher current to the input than 10A.

Important note:
- In the range of 600 Ω, close the two instrument lines without any resistance to be measured, read the result from the display, and then subtract the value from the value displayed by the instrument to be measured. (This is needed because the instrument strings also have resistance and you get the most accurate value after the above subtraction). Failure to display the value for 10 seconds is normal when the measured resistance is greater than 1MΩ. Please wait this is normal for large MΩ components.
