How do I clean the foam filter?

Remove the foam filter and rinse it with lukewarm water. Squeeze out excess water and let it air dry completely before reinstalling. Do not use detergent.

How often should I replace the paper filter?

Replace the paper filter when it appears dirty or clogged, typically every 3-6 months depending on usage. A clean filter ensures optimal suction power.

Can I use the vacuum for wet pickup?

Yes, the Cocraft HWD 18 is a wet/dry vacuum. Remove the dust bag and paper filter before wet pickup, and use the included wet nozzle.

How do I switch to blower mode?

Safety

• This product is only intended for domestic use and only in the manner described in this instruction manual.
• The product should only be connected to a 220–240 V\~, 50/60 Hz outlet equipped with a 30 mA RCD. Check the RCD before each use.
• This product is intended for indoor use only.
• This product should not be exposed to excessive heat such as open flames or other heat sources, prolonged sunlight or moisture.
• Never immerse the product in water or any other type of liquid.
• Never handle the product if your hands are moist or wet.
  • Always grip the plug when unplugging the product, never pull the mains lead.
  • Always unplug the product from the mains if its motor has become wet or damp.
• This product may only be used to vacuum non-hazardous materials and non-flammable liquids.
• Never point the nozzle at yourself, others or animals.
• The product may not be used without a correctly mounted dust bag and filter when dry vacuuming.

• Do not vacuum toner powder used in printers. This may damage the product and be re-distribute the powder throughout the room.
• Never vacuum asbestos, asbestos dust, hazardous or flammable particulates.
• Never vacuum up petrol, oil, acid or other flammable and hazardous liquids.
• Never vacuum up liquids exceeding 60 °C.
• The product must always be used in a balanced upright position.

Assembly instructions

1. Make sure that the vacuum is unplugged from the mains.
2. Open the latch.
3. Lift up the motor unit and remove the accessories from the container.
4. Check that all the parts are intact and that nothing is missing.
5. Press the castors in securely into the underside of the container.
6. Place the handle into position and fasten it with two supplied retaining screws.

Operating instructions

Note:

The cloth dust filter and dust bag must be used for dry vacuuming. The cloth dust filter and dust bag must first be removed and the foam filter fitted, before beginning any type of wet vacuuming.

Dry vacuuming

1. Make sure that the vacuum is unplugged from the mains.
2. Fitting the cloth dust filter:
3. Slide the filter all the way down until it bottoms on the motor unit.
4. Fit the dust bag.
5. Refit the motor unit back onto the container and make sure that the latch is securely fastened.
6. Attach the vacuum hose to the vacuum port and twist it clockwise until it locks into place.
7. Attach the appropriate accessory.
8. Plug the mains lead into a wall socket.
9. Start the vacuum with the power switch.

Wet vacuuming

Note: Do not submerge the entire nozzle under the surface of the liquid. Leave some space so that air can also pass through when vacuuming a large amount of liquid.

1. Make sure that the vacuum is unplugged from the mains.
2. Lift the motor unit and fit the foam filter onto the motor. Refit the motor unit back onto the container and make sure that the latch is securely fastened.
3. Attach the vacuum hose to the vacuum port and twist it clockwise until it locks into place.
4. Attach the appropriate accessory.
5. Plug the mains lead into a wall socket.
6. Start the vacuum with the power switch.
7. Empty the container when it becomes full.

Things to consider when wet vacuuming

• The cloth dust filter and dust bag must first be removed and the foam filter fitted, before beginning any type of wet vacuuming.
• Make sure that the foam filter is clean and dry before wet vacuuming.
• A safety float valve regulates the water level within the container. When the container needs to be emptied, the motor will start to race. Turn off the motor with the power switch, lift off the motor unit and empty the container.
• Refit the motor unit back onto the container and continue work as usual.
• Clean the foam filter regularly. Remove the foam filter and hand wash it with water and a little mild detergent. Allow the filter to air dry.
• Wipe the container clean and allow it to dry before storing the vacuum or continuing with any type of dry vacuuming.
• Don't forget to fit the cloth filter and dust bag before beginning any type of dry vacuuming.

Blower function

The blower function is used to clear the hose of any lodged foreign objects or debris. You may be forced to clean the hose manually if any lodged objects or debris have not been cleared after a few seconds of using the blower function.

Warning: Use respiratory protection and protective eyewear. Keep children and pets at a safe distance while the vacuum is in use.

1. Make sure that the vacuum is unplugged from the mains.
2. Connect the vacuum hose to the blower port (17).
3. Plug the mains lead into a wall socket.
4. Start the vacuum with the power switch.

Care and maintenance

• Always unplug the vacuum from the wall socket before cleaning/maintenance or when it is not in use for an extended period.
• Clean the exterior of the vacuum using a lightly moistened cloth. Use only mild cleaning agents, never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Make sure that all components are completely dry before storing the vacuum in a dry dust-free environment and away from the reach of children.

Cleaning the cloth dust filter

1. Make sure that the vacuum is unplugged from the mains.
2. Remove the cloth filter.
3. Brush or shake the filter free of dirt and debris in an appropriate outdoor area.
4. Hand wash the filter with water and a little mild washing up liquid and rinse well with water after cleaning.
5. Let the filter air-dry for about 24 hours. Refit the filter only when it is completely dry.

Cleaning the foam filter

1. Make sure that the plug is unplugged from the mains.
2. Remove the cloth filter.
3. Hand wash the filter with water and a little mild washing up liquid and rinse well with water after cleaning.
4. Allow the filter to air dry. Replace the filter only when it is completely dry.

Troubleshooting guide
