Frequently Asked Questions - IM-123B Vivax

How do I start making ice?
Open the cover, remove the ice basket, pour potable water into the tank up to the MAX water level. Close the cover, plug in the unit, and press the ON/OFF button. The ice making cycle will begin automatically.
What does the 'Add Water' indicator mean?
The 'Add Water' indicator lights up when the water level is too low. Press ON/OFF to turn off the unit, fill water to the max level mark, then press ON/OFF again to restart. Wait at least 3 minutes for refrigerant to settle before restarting.
What should I do when the 'Ice Full' indicator is on?
The 'Ice Full' indicator means the ice basket is full. Remove the ice cubes. If you need more ice immediately, you can press and hold the SELECT button for 5 seconds to override the sensor and produce up to 10 more cycles.
Why do my ice cubes stick together?
Ice cubes may stick if the cycle is too long or water temperature is too low. Select small ice cube size using the SELECT button, or replace the water with fresh water at 8-32°C. If room temperature is below 15°C, use small cubes to prevent sticking.
How often should I clean the ice maker?
Clean the ice maker before first use and then regularly. Drain and change the water every 24 hours to maintain hygiene. Clean the interior with diluted detergent and warm water, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth.
Can I use an extension cord?
It is not recommended. If you must, use an extension cord with a minimum size of 0.75 mm² and rated at least 16A/250V with a grounding plug. Improper use may cause overheating and fire risk.
What should I do if the ice maker is not forming ice?
Check that room temperature is 10-43°C and water temperature is 8-32°C. Ensure the unit is level and ventilation openings are clear. If the refrigerant system is blocked or leaking, contact a qualified technician.
How should I store the ice maker if not used for a long time?
Unplug the unit, drain all water from the tank by removing the drain cap at the front bottom, and dry the interior thoroughly. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Is the ice maker safe to use?
Yes, but follow safety warnings. The unit uses R600a refrigerant, which is flammable. Do not damage the refrigerant circuit. Always plug into a grounded outlet. Do not use near open flames or heat sources. Keep ventilation openings clear.
What type of water should I use?
Only use potable drinking water. Do not use distilled or mineral water as it may affect ice quality. Change the water every 24 hours to ensure freshness.
