How do I use the Vivax CM-1000B to make coffee?

Can I boil only water in this kettle?

The maximum capacity is 0.4 liters, which corresponds to 4 standard coffee cups. Do not overfill to avoid boiling over.

How do I clean the kettle?

How do I descale the CM-1000B?

Use a non-toxic descaler or a mixture of 3 cups vinegar and water. Do not boil; let it sit overnight, then empty. Rinse with water, then boil once with clean water and discard.

Is it safe to leave the kettle unattended while boiling?

No. Always monitor the kettle while in use. It has a safety system but should not be left unattended. Unplug after use.

What should I do if the kettle stops working?

Please read this manual thoroughly to get full performance from your appliance and keep it a safe place for further reference.

1. IMPORTANT WARNINGS

Basic safety precautions must be complied with while using an electrical appliance.

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

• The device must be used in accordance with the instructions given in the user's manual. Incorrect or faulty uses might cause injuries.
• Do not leave your appliance as plugged in. Unplug it when not in use and when it requires servicing. While unplugging, use the head of the plug instead of its cord and allow your appliance to cool down.
• Before unplugging the appliance, turn the On/Off button to the position "0" (OFF).
• Do not insert or pull the plug with wet hands.
• Never leave the electric terminals of your appliance wet. If they get wet, unplug it and do not use it before until it is completely dry.
• In order to avoid electric shock, do not immerse the cable and the plug into water or other liquids.
• If the appliance accidentally drops into water unplug it

• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.

- During the first use, a smell may arise from the heater of the appliance. This is normal.

- While using the coffee maker, use only by its handle.

- Make sure the appliance is stable.

- Pay attention to the surface of the device as it would be hot after use.

- Do not remove the appliance while using it.

- Your appliance is intended for household use only. Do not use it for commercial or industrial purposes.

- This appliance is intended for domestic use or similar applications like the followings:

• Dormitories and breakfast areas.

- Any malfunction, cracks or scratches caused as a result of dropping or hitting after the delivery of the product to the consumer are considered as user errors.

- Our company does not accept responsibility for the malfunctions caused by the above-mentioned reasons

and therefore such malfunctions are excluded from the warranty.

Caution!

Never use the stretch bags in the package of the appliance as a toy. Please keep them away from children to prevent any accident.

2 PART DESCRIPTION

Appliance Description

Electric Coffee Maker can be used for making coffee or boiling water.

Caution!

Do not put milk in coffee maker. If you boil milk in it, this leaves a brown-black layer on the heater, which can only be removed by using a hand scourer. This may damage the product. Therefore, it is not recommended to boil milk in the coffee maker.

3 USE OF APPLIANCE

Electric Coffee Maker can be used to make maximum 4 cups of coffee.

• Add water, coffee and sugar in the coffee maker as the number of cups (maximum 4 cups) preferred.
• Plug the appliance in a grounded socket.
• Turn the On/Off button to "I" (On) position.
• Mix the mixture for a short period.
• When the coffee boils, turn the On/Off button to "O" (Off) position.
  • Pour the coffee into cups.

Note: If the socket is grounded, a metal spoon can be used.

Boiling Water

You will need hot water to prepare granule coffee, teabag, linden tea, rose hip tea, fruit herbal and herbal teas.

• In order to get hot water, add water into coffee maker as much as you need (maximum 4 cups), but be careful not to over ow.
• Plug the appliance in a grounded socket.
• Turn the On/Off button to "I" (On) position.
• When the water boils, turn the On/Off button to "O" (Off) position.
• Now you can use your hot water as you wish.

4 MAINTENANCE, REPAIR AND USE

• Never try to open and repair your appliance when it does not work.
• Please do not operate the appliance in case of a break or crack when it falls or hits to a hard object. Contact the authorized service.
• Do not change the damaged cable or plug, contact the authorized service.
• Do not carry the appliance by holding its cable.
• Unplug the appliance by pulling out from the socket, not the power cord.
• Unplug the appliance when not in use.

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Before cleaning the appliance, turn the On/Off button to "O" (Off) position, unplug it and wait until your appliance cools down.
• Clean the inside of the coffee maker with soft sponge and detergent, then rinse it with water. Do not use abrasive or similar objects to clean the heater of the coffee maker.
• Use a dry or damp towel to clean the outside of the coffee maker. Do not use chemical or abrasive cleaners to clean the outer surface of the appliance.
• Do not immerse the appliance into water.

Caution!

Do not put the appliance in washing machine.

Descaling:

You can use a descaler without toxicant to remove limescale buildup that may occur in time.

Alternative:

Put three cups of vinegar into the appliance, Fill the rest with water and leave it overnight. Do not boil it! Empty the solution. You can use a damp towel to clean the residues that may remain inside it. After cleaning, Fill the appliance with water, boil it once and empty it. Your appliance is ready to use.

Warning! Cleaning and maintenance operations should not be done by children without supervision.

6. RECOMMENDATIONS FOR EFFICIENT USE AND ENERGY SAVING

• Unplug your appliance when not in use.
• Limescale and residues in your appliance adversely affects efficiency of the appliance. This causes more electricity consumption. The limescale and residues in the appliance must be cleaned often.

7 HANDLING AND TRANSPORTATION

The appliance should be transported in its original box and partitions or as wrapped with a soft cloth.

Incorrect packaging may cause damage to the outer surface of the appliance.

NOTE:

ANY MALFUNCTION OR DAMAGE CAUSED DURING LOADING, UNLOADING OR TRANSPORT AFTER THE DELIVERY OF PRODUCT TO THE CUSTOMER IS NOT COVERED BY THE WARRANTY.

Ovim jamstvom jamči proizvodač proizvoda, preko M SAN GRUPA d.d, kao uvoznika i davatelja jamstva u Republici Hrvatskoj besplatan popravak istog u skladu s važećim propisima i u skladu s uvjetima opisanim u ovom jamstvenom listu. Ovim jamstvom jamčimo da će predmet ovog jamstva raditi bez greške uzrokovane eventualnom lošom izradom i lošim materijalom izrade. Svi eventualno nastali kvarovi biti će besplatno otklonjeni u ovlaštenom servisu u jamstvenom roku.
2. UVJETI JAMSTVA Jamstveni rok počinje teći od dana kupnje proizvoda i traje 24 mjeseca za Vlvax Home velike kućanske aparate (perilice rublja, hladnjake, perilice posuđa, štednjake, ugradbenu tehniku), a 12 mjeseci za Vlvax home male kućanske aparate (uključujući mikrovalne pečnice, grijalice i radijatore).
3. U slučaju kvara na proizvodu koji je predmet ovog jamstva, obavezujemo se da ćemo isti popraviti u razumnom roku - 45 dana Ako se proizvod ne može popraviti ili se ne popravi u razumnom roku - 45 dana, biti će zamijenjen novim. Jamstvo na uređaj se produžuje za ono vrijeme koliko traje popravak uređaja.
4. Jamstvo se priznaje samo uz račun o kupnji, te uz ovaj jamstveni list koji mora biti ispravno popunjen odnosno mora sadržavati datum prodaje, pečat i polpis prodavatelja.
5. JAMSTVO NE OBUHVAĆA Redovnu provjeru, održavanje uz zamjenu dijelova koji se troše normalnom upotrebom. Prilago čavanje ili promjene za poboljšanje proizvoda za primjenu koji nisu opisane u tehničkim uputama za korištenje, osim ako je za te preinake predočena suglasnost M SAN GRUPA d.d.
6. Jamstvo se ne priznaje u sljedećim slučajevima: Ako kupac ne predoči ispravan jamstveni list i račun o kupnji. Ako se kupac nije pridrž avao uputa o korištenju proizvoda. Ako je proizvod otvaran, prepravljan ili popravljan od neovlaštene osobe. Ako su kvarovi na proizvodu nastali djelovanjem više sle kao što su: udar groma, strujni udari u električnoj mreži elementame nepogode i slično. Ako su kvarovi nastali oštećivanjem zbog nepropisane upotrebe ili nepravlinim transportiranjem. Ako je kvar nastao greškom u sustavu na koji je proizvod priključen.
7. Ovo jamstvo ne mijenja zakonska potrošačka prava važeća u Republici Hrvatskoj u odnosu na ona koja propisuje proizvođač.
