Please make yourself familiar with the electric underblanket before preparing it for use or using it for the first time. Please read
carefully through the following operating instructions and important safety advice. Use the electric underblanket only as described and for the indicated purposes. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the electric underblanket on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation.
•Properuse
This electric underblanket is intended for warming beds. It is not intended for use in hospitals or for
commercial use. It must not be used in particular for warming babies, infants, people who are insensitive to heat, helpless people or animals. Any use other than that described above or modification to the electric underblanket is not permitted and could lead to injury and / or damage to the electric underblanket. The manufacturer accepts no liability for any damage caused by improper use.

Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. Danger of suffocation.
WARNING! RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Do not use the electric underblanket if it is damp.

Do not use the mains lead for purposes for which it was not intended, e.g. for hanging up the electric under-
blanket, carrying it or to pull the plug out of the mains socket. Keep the lead away from heat, oil and sharp edges. If the mains lead is damaged or severed, do not touch the mains lead, but pull the mains plug out of the mains socket immediately. Damaged or tangled leads increase the risk of electric shock.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Do not insert needles or pointed objects into the electric underblanket.

Ask your doctor and the manufacturer of your heart pacemaker before you use this electric underblanket. Under
certain circumstances, the electrical and magnetic fields emitted from this electric underblanket could interfere with the proper functioning of your heart pacemaker. However, the values are well under the permitted limits: For information on these values please refer to the section on "Technical data".

responsible for the user's welfare or the child has been adequately instructed about how to use this electric underblanket safely.

RISK OF INJURY! Check the
electric underblanket regularly for signs of wear or damage. If signs of wear or damage are detected or if the electric underblanket has been used improperly, you must cease using the product and return it to your dealer.
If the mains lead to the electric underblanket is damaged, in order to avoid causing further danger it must be replaced by the manufacturer, his customer service centre or a similarly suitably qualified person.
Children or persons who lack the knowledge or experience to use the electric underblanket or whose physical, sensory or intellectual capacities are limited must never be allowed to use the electric underblanket without supervision or instruction by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised so that they do not play with the electric underblanket.
RISK OF INJURY! Do not use the electric underblanket on helpless people, infants or people who are
insensitive to heat (e.g. diabetics, people whose skin is affected by illness or who have scarred skin in the area where the heat will be applied, or who have taken painkilling medication or alcohol).

■ Special tools are required for repairs, therefore you must have any repairs carried out only by qualified specialist personnel or in a workshop approved by the manufacturer. Unsatisfactory repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user.

Avoid causing damage to the electric underblanket!
Please ensure that you:
- connect the electric underblanket only to an electricity supply of the voltage shown on the electric underblanket (label),
- use the electric underblanket only in conjunction with the control unit 1 shown on the electric underblanket (label) (see Fig. A),

do not switch the electric under- blanket on if it is folded or drawn together,
- do not wrap up in the electric underblanket in bed and do not wrap it around the mattress,
- ensure that the electric underblanket does not become trapped, particularly in adjustable beds or dividable mattresses,
- do not sharply bend the electric underblanket,
- do not place any object, such as a case or a washing basket on the electric underblanket while it is switched on,
- do not place any source of heat, such as a hot-water bottle, heated pillow or similar on the electric underblanket while it is switched on.
Otherwise the electric underblanket could be damaged.
Do not cover the control unit 1 and do not place it on the electric underblanket when it is in use. The electronic components in the electric underblanket's control unit 1 cause the control unit 1 to heat up slightly during operation.
●Safetysystem
Note: The electric underblanket is fitted with a safety system. Its electronic sensor system prevents the electric underblanket from overheating over its full area by switching it off automatically in the event of a fault. If the safety system switches the electric underblanket off automatically due to a fault, then the display 2 on the control unit 1 ceases to illuminate, even if the electric underblanket is switched on.
Safety system / Preparing for use / Operation
Please note that, for safety reasons, the electric underblanket must not be used in the event of a fault and must be sent to the service centre address given below.
Switching off:
Press the ON / OFF switch on the control unit 1 to switch off the electric underblanket.
When switched off, the light and the display cease to illuminate.
● Preparing for use
- Placing the electric underblanket
Starting at the foot end, spread out the electric underblanket over the mattress so that the plug-in connector 7 is approximately at the level of the shoulders (see Fig. B).
Note: The area of the head is not heated.
Guide the mains plug of the plug-in connector through the slot in the side part 8 and then connect the control unit 1 to the electric underblanket by plugging the two parts of the plug-in connector 7 together (see Figs. B and C).
Then pull the side part as you would a fitted sheet over the sides of your mattress. The electric underblanket is designed so that it fits 90 x 200 cm as well as 100 x 200 cm mattresses.
Then place the bottom sheet as usual over the electric underblanket, so that the electric underblanket lies between the mattress and the bottom sheet.
☐ Ensure that the electric underblanket is completely flat and that it does not become drawn together or folded during use.
- Switching on / off
Switching on:
Press the ON / OFF switch on the control unit 1 to switch on the electric underblanket.
When switched on, the display illuminates and shows all its segments for approx. 3 seconds.
Then the display shows the following basic setting:
Temperature setting for the body zone: 0
Automatic switch-off time: 1h (= 1 hour)
Temperature setting for the foot zone: 0

Press the button for setting the temperature of the foot zone 3.

Setting 1: Minimum heat
Settings 2-8: Customised heat

- Selecting the temperature
Note: This electric underblanket has a rapid heat-up feature.
☐ Switch the electric underblanket on approximately 30 minutes before going to bed and cover it with the top sheet and other bedding. By doing this you will keep all the heat in.
☐ Set the control unit to the highest temperature setting (setting 9). This will cause the electric underblanket to warm up quickest.
☐ For use over several hours, set the control unit 1 to the lowest temperature setting (setting 1) for the body and the foot zones.
Note: This electric underblanket has an automatic switch down feature. After a period of approx. 3 hours at temperature settings 9, 8 or 7, the electric underblanket automatically switches down to setting 6.

Press the button for setting the automatic switch-off time 5.
☐ You can set the automatic switch-off time to 1, 3, 6 or 12 hours.
Note: Switching sequence of the switch-off time: 1h-12h-6h-3h-1h... (time in hours).
☐ The electric underblanket will automatically switch itself off after the expiry of the set switch-off time.
The display then shows the following: Temperature setting for the body zone: 0 Automatic switch-off time: The selected switch-off time flashes
Temperature setting for the foot zone: 0
o switch the electric underblanket on again, press either the button for setting the temperature of the body zone 6 or the button for setting the temperature of the foot zone 3.
If you no longer wish to operate the electric underblanket after the expiry of the set switch-off time, press the ON / OFF switch 4 to switch off the electric underblanket.

FROM ELECTRIC SHOCK! Before cleaning, always pull the plug of the electric underblanket out of the mains socket and separate the plug-in connector 7 to detach the control unit 1 from the electric underblanket.

Reconnect the control unit 1 to the electric underblanket only if the plug-in connector 7 and the electric underblanket are completely dry. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! RISK OF MATERIAL DAMAGE!
Under no circumstances switch on the electric underblanket to dry it.
Do not use chemical cleaners or scouring agents to clean the electric underblanket or the control unit 1. Otherwise the electric underblanket could be damaged.
Use a dry, fluff-free cloth to clean and care for the electric underblanket and the control unit 1.
☐ You can dampen the cloth or moisten it with a little mild liquid detergent.
□ Never immerse the control unit in water or other liquids. Otherwise you may damage it.
The electric underblanket is machine-
washable. Set the washing machine to a gentle washing program at 30 °C.
☐ Use a mild detergent at the dose recommended by the manufacturer.
Please note that the electric underblanket may degrade through too frequent washing. The electric underblanket should be washed in a washing machine no more than 5 times over its whole lifetime.

PRODUCT! Note that the electric underblanket must not be dry cleaned,
wrung out, tumbledried, put through a mangle or ironed. Otherwise the electric underblanket could be damaged.

Before putting it away, let the electric underblanket cool. Otherwise material could occur.

☐ If the electric underblanket is not to be used for some time, store it in the original packaging in a dry environment and do not place any objects on top of it.

The packaging and ancillary packing consist of environmentally friendly materials. They can be disposed of at your local recycling facility.

Do not dispose of electrical devices with the household rubbish!
In accordance with European Directive 2002 / 96 / EC (covering waste electrical and electronic equipment) and its transposition into national legislation, worn-out electrical devices must be collected separately and taken for environmentally compatible recycling.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for more details of how to dispose of your worn-out electrical devices.

We provide a 3-year warranty covering defects in materials or manufacture of the product from the date of purchase.
The warranty does not cover:
- Damage resulting from improper use.
