INSTRUCTIONS ASSOCIATED WITH USE SAFETY

Before use, thoroughly read the operation manual.
Extreme care is required in case of children presence in vicinity of the appliance!

- Do not use your roaster for any other purpose except of its assignment.

Do not immerse the appliance, its cord and plug in water or any other fluids!
Do not leave the roaster without supervision in course of its operation.
Always pull out the plug from the socket unless the appliance is used or before its cleaning.

Do not use the roaster in case of its damage, also if its cord or plug is damaged – in such case the appliance should be handed over to an authorized service shop for repair.

The use of any accessories not recommended by the manufacturer may result in damage of the appliance, fire or injuries.

Do not use the roaster outdoors.
Do not hang the cord on any sharp edges and prevent any contact with hot surfaces.
Do not stand the roaster in vicinity of electric and gas cookers, burners, ovens etc.
Do not touch any hot surfaces in course of roasting – open the roaster by means of holder designed for this purpose only.

Prior to commencing the cleaning, pull out the plug from the plug socket and allow the roaster to cool completely.

When opening the appliance in course of roasting, proceed carefully owing to hot damp from the area under the heating panels!!

The roaster should be connected into the socket with grounding pin!

This appliance is not intended for use by children under years of age and individuals with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be carried out by children without supervision.

Store the appliance and its cord out of reach of children under 8 years of age.

Make sure that children do not play with the appliance.

- Use on a flat, stable surface.

The equipment is not designed to work with external schedulers or a separate control system.

Do not pull the plug by holding the power cord.

BEFORE FIRST USE

WARNING! Before cleaning the toasting plates make sure that the device is disconnected from the mains!

1. Before using it for the first time, carefully clean the toasting plates with a cloth soaked in warm water; then, wipe them with a dry cloth. Remove packaging materials, markings and labels.
2. Put the device on a flat, stable, dry and heat-resistant surface.
3. Before using for the first time, the hot plates must be properly conditioned by running them hot. Place the appliance on a firm, dry, level and smooth surface, plug the power cord to the mains. Leave it running for 10 minutes. Next, unplug the appliance from the mains and wait until it cools down completely. The hot plates may smoke slightly during this process. This is natural and will no recur during further use. Wipe the hot plates with a damp cloth and wipe them dry.

WARNING! Bread may ignite, therefore never place the sandwich toaster near curtains or flammable materials!

WARNING! The working surfaces of the sandwich toaster reach very high temperatures! Touch the handles only!

USING THE SANDWICH TOASTER

WARNING! Take caution as the steam comes out of the sandwich toaster while opening it!

1. Lubricate the toasting plates (5) with butter, margarine or some other edible fat.
2. Connect the plug to the mains – the red indicator light (1) will shine, as heating the sandwich toaster is in progress.
3. Prepare your sandwiches.
4. When the appliance reaches the required temperature, the green indicator light will shine (2), whereas the red indicator light will go off. Lift the upper lid by pulling the catch (4) and carefully place your sandwiches on the toasting plates. Carefully close the lid (3) and push it until the catch (4) automatically locks it.
5. Check your sandwiches while toasting, carefully opening the lid and minding the steam coming on the toaster sides!
6. Open the lid and take out your toast sandwiches by use of a wooden or plastic spatula.
7. Before you prepare next sandwiches, always close the lid to maintain the temperature. During its operation, the toaster indicator lights (1) and (2) will alternately shine and go off, which means that the temperature is maintained by the device and that the device itself is connected to the mains.
8. After grilling, disconnect the plug from the mains socket and put it aside until it cools down completely.

CAUTION! Do not use metal and sharp cutlery as it may damage the toasting plates!

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

1. Before cleaning the appliance (and after grilling) pull the plug from the mains socket and wait until it cools down.

2. Thoroughly wipe the toasting plates and edges of the appliance with a delicate cloth or towel.

3. If removing remnants of food from the surfaces of the toasting plates is problematic, pour some cooking oil on the soiled areas and clean them after approx. 5 minutes.
4. Clean the external surface of the sandwich toaster with a damp cloth.

WARNING! Do not submerge the device in water and other liquids! Do not wipe the appliance inside with sharp clothes or sponges as you may damage the heating plates!
