How do I charge the Blaupunkt BT22TWS speaker?

Use the included USB to microUSB cable and connect to a USB charger with DC 5V/1A output (or higher). The red LED will turn off when fully charged. Charging time is approximately 2.5 to 3 hours.

How do I pair two speakers in TWS mode?

Turn on both speakers simultaneously by long pressing the power button. Place them within 30 cm of each other; they will automatically pair. A short chime indicates successful TWS pairing. Then pair your Bluetooth device to the master speaker using the name 'BP BT22'.

Why is there no sound or intermittent sound?

Ensure the Bluetooth connection is active and devices are within 10 meters. Try turning off Bluetooth and re-pairing. If the battery is low, recharge the speaker. Also, place the speaker and device closer together.

Battery charging

This unit has a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. Before starting playback, please follow the steps below for charging. 1. Use the supplied USB to dual microUSB charging cable to connect the speaker to your USB charger (USB adapter or USB output port such as on a PC, with a USB rating output of 5V/1A, or other USB charger with current equal to or above 1A). Connect the microUSB connector to the DC 5V power jack of the speaker, and the other terminal to the USB charger. Then plug your USB charger into household AC power. 2. The charging LED will light up in red during charging, and the red LED will turn off when the battery is fully charged. 3. The speaker will turn off automatically when the battery is exhausted; please recharge it for continued playback. 4. The output sound may be intermittent due to low power. This is not a malfunction. Please recharge the speaker.

Important: We recommend connecting a USB charger with a rated output of DC 5V/1A or higher output current. The general USB output on a PC is 5V/1A (please check your PC specifications). There may be some charging noise or abnormal function from the speaker if the charging current is too low. If this happens, please disconnect the charging power and let the speaker sit for a while; the speaker will then reset to normal function. Please note that this is not a malfunction.

Notes:

Your battery lifetime will last longer if you follow these simple guidelines for charging and storing.

a. For the first charge, charge it for at least 10 hours. b. Recharge and store the unit within a temperature range of 5°C to 35°C (40°F to 95°F). c. Do not charge for more than 24 hours. Excessive charging or discharging may shorten the battery's life. d. Battery life naturally shortens slowly over time. e. Please turn off the speaker if it will not be used for a long time.

f. The speaker can play music while charging.

g. Due to prolonged charging and discharging, the unit's battery life will be affected and playback time will also be shortened. We cannot guarantee consistent playback throughout, and this is not covered by our warranty and service.

Bluetooth operation

Before starting operation, you can choose to enjoy music as an all-in-one speaker (with the two speakers attached together), or detach the speaker from the rubber bracket, then rotate the top speaker clockwise to separate them for two-speaker playback. To reassemble the two speakers, put them together and rotate counterclockwise to tighten.

TWS playback (two speakers playing at the same time): For first-time use, long press the power button to power on both speakers simultaneously; place the two speakers within 30cm of each other and wait a moment; then the speakers will pair with each other automatically. A short notice sound will come from the speaker after successful pairing, and the signal LED on the master speaker will flicker rapidly for Bluetooth pairing; the LED on the slave speaker (the other speaker) will light up steadily. Turn on the Bluetooth function on your device (for details, please refer to the device's manual for operation), check the available Bluetooth device list on your device, select "BP BT22" for pairing; there will be two short notice sounds from the master speaker after successful pairing. Select and play music from your Bluetooth device, and the sound will wirelessly play from both speakers. The best working distance is within 10 meters between the two speakers.

The other speaker will be controlled correspondingly if you perform the following operations on one speaker during TWS playback mode:

a. Short press the +/- button to switch the playing track; press and hold the +/- button to increase or decrease the volume.

b. Short press the power button to play/pause the music.

c. Short press the power button twice to quit the current Bluetooth pairing with another device.

d. Short press the power button 3 times to disconnect the TWS speaker connection.

e. Long press the power button to turn off the speaker; the two speakers can pair with your device automatically after powering on again.

Single playback (one speaker playing): The Bluetooth operation is similar to TWS playback mode, but only one speaker powers on and produces sound. Please note that the Bluetooth pairing name is also "BP BT22" during pairing.

Phone call hands-free: When the cell phone is paired with the speaker and an incoming call arrives, short press the power button to answer the call; answer the call and speak toward the microphone (located next to the inner driver) within 30cm (suggested distance) for better conversation sound quality; short press the power button again to end the call and resume music playback; short press the power button twice to reject the call.

In hands-free mode, the phone call or talking voice will output from only one speaker, but each speaker has a built-in microphone. We suggest using one speaker for hands-free phone calls.

Notes:

a. Not all Bluetooth devices are guaranteed to pair successfully due to different designs and brands.

b. Please do not place your cell phone very close to the speaker during hands-free phone calls to avoid interference that could affect conversation sound quality.

c. The best Bluetooth working distance is within 10 meters without any obstacles in between.

d. The unit will power off automatically if it remains unpaired with a device for 10 minutes, in order to save battery power.

Troubleshooting

1. The unit cannot power on.

a. Please charge the unit and try again.

b. Please contact the service center if the issue remains.

1. There is no or intermittent sound output in Bluetooth mode.

a. Please turn off Bluetooth and repair with the speaker.

b. Please bring your Bluetooth device closer to the speaker.

1. The two speakers cannot pair with each other successfully (TWS pair failed).

a. Please try to power off both speakers first, then power on the two speakers at the same time, and put them together for a while.

Then the speakers will connect to each other.

b. Please contact the service center if the issue remains.

Important Information

TWS Playback (two speakers working simultaneously): On first use, long press the power button to turn on both speakers simultaneously; place the two speakers 30 cm apart and wait a moment; then the speakers will automatically connect. After successful connection of the two speakers, a short sound will be heard, and the LED on the main speaker will flash rapidly, indicating it is ready to connect to an external Bluetooth device; the LED on the secondary speaker (the other speaker) will stay on continuously. Enable the Bluetooth function on your external device (for detailed information, refer to the user manual of the external device), check the available Bluetooth device list on the external device, select "BP BT22" for connection; after proper connection, the speaker will emit two short beeps. Select and play music on the external Bluetooth device, and the sound will be wirelessly played on both speakers. The best working distance between the two speakers is 10 meters.

In TWS playback mode, perform the following procedures to control the speaker functions:

a. Briefly press the +/- button to change the playing track; press and hold the +/- button to increase or decrease the volume. b. Briefly press the power button to play/pause music. c. Briefly press the power button twice to end the current Bluetooth connection with the external device. d. Briefly press the power button three times to disconnect the TWS connection between the speakers. e. Long press the power button to turn off the speaker; the two speakers will automatically reconnect after being turned on again.

Single playback (playback using one speaker): The Bluetooth operation is similar to TWS playback mode, but only one speaker works. Note that the device name during Bluetooth connection is the same as in TWS mode "-BP BT22".

Phone calls (handsfree calling): If the mobile phone is connected to the speaker and a call comes in, briefly press the power button to answer the call; answer the phone and speak into the microphone at a distance of about 30 cm (recommended distance) for better call quality; briefly press the power button to end the call and resume music playback; press the power button twice to reject the call.

When using the handsfree kit, we suggest using only one speaker.
