USER MANUAL PP5.2 BLAUPUNKT
• This safety and operating instruction should be retained for future reference. • The apparatus should not be exposed to dripping or splashing or placed in a humid atmosphere such as a bathroom. • Do not install the product in the following areas: - Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to radiators. • On top of other stereo equipment that radiate too much heat. - Blocking ventilation or in a dusty area. - Areas where there is constant vibration. • Humid or moist places. • Do not place near candles or other naked flames. - Operate the product only as instructed in this manual. • Before turning on the power for the first time, make sure the power adaptor is properly connected.
For safety reasons, do not remove any covers or attempt to gain access to the inside of the product. Refer any servicing to qualified personnel.
Do not attempt to remove any screws, or open the casing of the unit; there are no user serviceable parts inside. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.

Note: Please remove the battery (CR2025) insulation sheet before using the remote controller; the best working distance is within 5 meters without obstacle in between; please try your best to aim the IR sensor during operation.
Power setting and battery charging.
There have built in rechargeable battery inside of this unit. Before play the speaker, please follow up below step to charge the unit first.
- Using the supplied USB cable to connect the DC 5V jack on the rear panel, and another terminal connect with supplied USB DC power adaptor. Then plug on the DC power adaptor to AC power source.
- During the charging, the rear panel red LED indicator will turn on, and will off after be fully charged (2\~3 hours charging time).
- During the battery power playback mode, the unit will stop play and display off when the power is too low. Please connect power for re-charging and playing.
Note:
Your battery will last longer if you following these simple guidelines for charging and storing.
a. For charging first time, charge it at least 10 hours. And the battery will provide the best performance after fully charge and discharge 3 times. It is better to charge the unit after discharge completely, otherwise there may affect the battery's lifetime.
b. Recharge and store the unit within the temperature range of 5°C\~35°C (40°F\~95°F).
c. Do not charge (longer than 24 hours). Excessive charging or discharging may shorten the battery's life. d. Due to prolong charging and discharging, the unit battery life will be affected and playback will be shorten. We cannot guarantee the same playback consistently throughout and this is not include in our warranty and service. e. During charging, you can play the music at the same time. f. Please do not use it under the high humidity and temperature environment for long time. g. Please turn off the speaker if long time not to use.
Unit power on
Slide the power switch to "on" position on rear panel to power on the unit, and slide to off position to power off (display off). Short press the power button on remote controller to standby on/off the unit. In case of you off the unit by side the power switch on rear panel that you cannot power on the unit by remote controller because the power is cut off completely.
Time setting
Press the mode button repeatedly until enter to clock time interface. Long press (2 seconds) the mode button until hour's digits flare on display, rotate the volume knob to adjust the hour setting, short press mode button to confirm and skip to minute setting, rotate the volume knob to adjust it and press the play/pause button to finish the time setting.
If you power off the unit using the remote control, the clock time will be displayed for 15 seconds and then disappear automatically. To check the time, briefly press any button on the panel or remote control (except the power button), and the clock time will be shown for 10 seconds.
Note: The clock time may reset if the battery is exhausted and there is no DC power connection. You may need to set it again after charging.
FM RADIO
Before FM reception, extend the telescopic FM antenna as far as possible. Place the unit near a window for better reception. If FM reception is poor, try moving to another location.
FM play: Slide the power switch to the "on" position on the rear panel to power on the unit. "HI" will appear on the display, and it will switch to FM mode directly. Press and hold the play/pause button for 3 seconds to auto-tune and save FM stations automatically. Up to 60 preset stations are supported. Briefly press the previous or next button to select and play the previous or next preset station. Press and hold the previous or next button to auto-scan available FM stations in the backward or forward direction. Briefly press the play/pause button to mute the unit. Rotate the volume knob to adjust the output volume; maximum volume is 30, and default volume is 18. Rotate the tuning knob to adjust the FM frequency in 0.1 MHz steps.
FM operation via remote control: Briefly press the FM scan button to start auto-scan and station preset function automatically; press it again briefly to stop auto-scan and play the first preset station. Briefly press the previous button to decrease FM frequency by 0.1 MHz per step; press and hold the previous button to auto-scan backward and stop when an available station is found. Briefly press the next button to increase FM frequency by 0.1 MHz per step; press and hold the next button to auto-scan forward and stop when an available station is found.
You can input 1 or 2 digits from the remote control's number buttons to select and play preset stations. For example, if there are 20 preset stations stored, pressing 1 and 5 will display 0015, then switch to "P15" and play that station. If you input 3 or 4 digits, the unit will play the corresponding FM frequency between 87.5-108 MHz. For example, inputting 1043 will display 1043 and play the FM station at 104.3 MHz.
USB playback operation
Before starting USB playback, insert the USB device into the corresponding slot on the rear panel. The unit will only detect and play the USB when a device is present in the slot. Slide the power switch to the "on" position on the rear panel to power on the unit. The unit will read and play the USB device automatically after displaying "HI" on the display. While in USB mode, short press the play/pause button to control play/pause; short press the previous/next button to select the previous or next track; press and hold the previous/next button for fast backward or forward selection, and resume playback after releasing the button.
Notes:
a. Do not use any extension USB cable for connection and playback, as this will affect signal transfer from the device and may cause intermittent sound. b. The unit supports MP3 up to 320 kbps and WAV up to 192 kbps. It supports USB devices with a maximum capacity of 32GB. c. Short press the repeat button on the remote control to choose repeat mode: repeat one track, repeat folder, repeat all, or random play.
Fast selection: Press the digits 0-9 on the remote control to choose a song. Input 2 digits if there are more than 10 tracks saved on the device; input 3 digits if there are more than 100 tracks. For example, to play track number 105, press 1, 0, and 5 on the remote control, then 0105 will be displayed and played.
AUX IN and headphone.
Using the supplied 3.5mm audio cable, plug one end into the AUX IN jack on the rear panel, and the other end into another audio player. Power on the unit or press the mode button to switch to AUX mode. Select music from your player device and play. The sound will output from the speaker. You can use the volume up/down, MUTE, play, and pause functions in AUX mode.
In any play mode, if you insert headphones into the headphone jack on the rear panel, there will be no sound output from the speaker, but sound will be output through the headphones.

Troubleshooting.
a. No sound output
There is no power in the battery. Please reference the manual and connect the power source for charging.
Please power off the unit and power on again.
b. Cannot get USB play mode.
Please double check if you have inserted the USB on the rear panel already.
c. FM reception is not good.
Please extend the antenna as long as it can be. Please move the unit to another place for reception.
d. The remote control does not work properly.
Please use the remote control straight directly to the front display and move close for control.
