How do I turn on the solar lamp?

Locate the ON/OFF switch on the underside of the lamp. Slide it to the ON position. The lamp will then automatically switch on at dusk and off at dawn using the built-in twilight sensor. In the OFF position, the lamp stays off but the battery can still charge during the day.

How do I replace the battery?

Turn the switch to OFF. Loosen the 4 screws on the battery compartment, remove the cover and seal. Take out the old battery and insert a new fully charged NiMH 1.2V 600mAh battery, observing correct polarity (+/-). Ensure the seal is properly fitted to prevent water ingress. Tighten the screws and switch back to ON.

Why is my solar lamp not lighting up at night?

Check if the lamp is placed in a location that receives direct sunlight during the day. Ensure the ON/OFF switch is set to ON. If the battery is drained, allow a full 6–8 hours of sunlight to charge. Also, check that other light sources (street lights, porch lights) are not shining directly on the lamp at night, as this may keep the sensor from activating.

Can I use the solar lamp indoors?

The lamp is designed for outdoor use only. It requires sunlight to charge the battery and has an IPX4 splash-proof rating suitable for damp outdoor environments. Indoor use would not provide sufficient sunlight for charging.

Are the LEDs replaceable?

No, the LEDs are built-in and non-replaceable. If the LEDs fail, the entire lamp unit may need to be replaced. The battery, however, is replaceable.

Important safety information

Intended use

The decorative solar stone LED lamp is suitable for constant use outdoors. It is designed for use in private households and is not suitable for commercial purposes.

Do not use the solar lamp if there is visible damage. The lamp is protected against spray water, but must not be submerged in water. The solar module should not be stuck down, covered or painted.

Do not operate the decorative solar stone LED lamp with normal batteries that are non-rechargeable. Do not take the batteries apart, throw in fires or short circuit.

Danger to children and people with limited capability of using the devices

Children and people with limited capability do not recognise the dangers associated with using electrical devices. Keep away from children and people with limited capability.

Keep packaging and wrapping away from children and people who are of a limited ability to operate devices. Danger of suffocation!

Batteries can be fatal if swallowed. Keep batteries and the product out of the reach of small children. In the event of a battery being swallowed, seek medical assistance immediately.

Replacing the battery

1. The battery is designed to operate for long durations. However, it may be necessary to change the battery in the event of a long period of use. Batteries are subject to natural wear and tear and their performance can decrease.
2. Turn the switch underneath to OFF.
3. Loosen the 4 screws on the battery compartment.
4. Remove the battery compartment cover incl. the seal.
5. Remove the battery and replace it with a new, fully charged battery of the same type (see "Technical specifications"). Make sure the battery is inserted according to the right polarity (+/-). When inserting the battery, make sure that the cables are not wedged in.
6. Correctly place the battery compartment cover and seal back on (Make sure that the seal is properly fitted. This prevents water from entering the battery compartment).
7. Tighten the four screws.
8. Turn the switch back to ON.

Storage and transport

Store and transport the lamp only in its original packaging. Protect packaged light from mechanical impact, moisture, frost and dust.

Unpacking

Take all the parts of the lamp out of the box and remove the packaging material. Put all the parts of the lamp on a soft surface in front of you, such as a carpet. Check the parts for any possible visible damage.

Commissioning

1. The decorative solar stone LED lamp can be positioned anywhere as it is not dependent on an external power supply.
   However, since the lamp is dependent on solar energy, please note the following points before positioning:
2. Choose a location where the solar module is exposed to direct sunlight during the day.
3. Avoid choosing a location that is completely or predominantly in the shade (trees, roof ridge etc.).
4. At nighttime, the solar module should not constantly be illuminated by other light sources, e.g. by a beam that illuminates a garage driveway. Please bear in mind that many light sources first switch on in the middle of the night, dependent on time or motion.
5. This lamp has a twilight sensor and an ON/OFF switch. The lamp provides light for approx. 6 to 8 hours when fully charged.
6. Before initial operation, switch the ON/OFF switch on the rear of the lamp to ON and place the LED solar lamp in the sun for.
7. Decorative solar stone LED lamp function:
   ON - The decorative solar stone LED lamp automatically switches on when the area starts to get dark. The lamp automatically switches off when the area starts to get light (If there is sufficient brightness, the battery start to charge)
   OFF - The decorative solar stone LED lamp is permanently off (If there is sufficient brightness, the battery start to charge)

Disposal of packaging

Dispose of the packaging material, sorting it according to type.

Keep packaging and wrapping away from children. Danger of suffocation!

Damage and malfunctions

LEDs do not light:

Environment too light? Check if light from other sources is hitting the solar lamp. If so, change the location of the lamp. (e.g. street lights or lamps which are controlled by time or motions)

Battery fully charged? See "Replacing the battery".

LEDs are damaged: The LEDs cannot be replaced.

The light from the LEDs is dim: Battery is not fully charged or damaged; charge the battery in the battery charger or replace with a new battery.

The power fluctuates depending on the time of year: this is due to the weather and is not a fault. The weather conditions in summer are most favorable and least favorable in winter.

Only clean the surface of the lamp. Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the lamp.
