Frequently Asked Questions - The Race I 80524S Elysee

How do I set the date on my Elysee The Race I 80524S?
Pull the crown out to position 1. Turn it counterclockwise (for Citizen/Miyota or Ronda) or clockwise (for Seiko/TMI or ETA) to set the date to the previous day. Then pull to position 2 and advance the time until the date changes to the current date. Set the correct time and push crown back to position 0.
How do I set the time?
Pull the crown to position 2. Turn it clockwise (or either direction for Ronda/Seiko) to set the hour and minute hands to the current time. Push the crown back to position 0.
How do I use the chronograph?
Press Pusher A to start or stop the stopwatch. Press Pusher A again to resume or stop. Press Pusher B to reset the chronograph hands to zero after stopping. The chronograph can measure intervals by repeatedly stopping and restarting.
How do I reset the chronograph hands if they are not in the correct zero position?
Pull crown to position 2. For Citizen/Miyota, press Pusher A repeatedly to move the second hand to 0. For Ronda, press and hold Pushers A and B together for 2 seconds, then use Pusher A to adjust and Pusher B to select hands. For Seiko/TMI, press Pusher B for 2 seconds then release. For ETA/Valjoux, press Pusher A to adjust. Push crown back to position 0 when done.
What is the water resistance rating of my watch?
The water resistance varies by model and is marked on the case back. Ratings range from 3 ATM (splash resistant) to 20 ATM (suitable for diving). Refer to the case back for the exact rating and follow usage guidelines.
How often should I change the battery?
Battery life typically lasts 2-3 years for quartz watches. When the watch stops or the chronograph malfunctions, it may indicate a low battery. Have the battery replaced by a professional to maintain water resistance.
Can I swim with my Elysee watch?
Only if the water resistance is at least 10 ATM (100 m). Check the case back rating. For 3 ATM, avoid any water exposure; for 5 ATM, avoid swimming; for 10 ATM, swimming is allowed; for 20 ATM, diving is allowed. Always ensure the crown is pushed in fully.
What should I do if the date changes at noon instead of midnight?
This happens when the time is set incorrectly for AM/PM. Pull crown to position 2 and advance the hands past 12 o'clock until the date changes; that indicates midnight. Then set the correct time accordingly.
How do I claim warranty service?
The watch has a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Send it with the original receipt to ELYSEE Uhren GmbH, Heerdter Lohweg 212, 40549 Düsseldorf, Germany. Contact service@elysee-watches.com or call +49 211 522894-12 for inquiries.
How should I dispose of the watch at the end of its life?
Do not throw it in household waste. Dispose of it at a local WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) collection point. Batteries must be removed and recycled separately according to local regulations.
