How do I charge the Arzum AR5500 beard trimmer?

Connect the adapter to the trimmer and plug into a mains socket. The indicator light will show charging status. Full charge takes about 8 hours.

How do I clean the trimmer?

Remove the blade unit and rinse under running water (the trimmer is waterproof). Use the cleaning brush to remove hair. Dry thoroughly before reassembling.

How do I adjust the cutting length?

Attach the desired comb (3mm or 6mm) onto the blade. Alternatively, use the adjustable dial for fine settings between 0.5mm and 10mm.

Can I use the trimmer while it is charging?

No, the Arzum AR5500 is designed for cordless use only. Charging must be done with the device switched off.

How do I replace the blades?

Switch off and unlock the blade head. Lift off the old blade unit and snap the new one into place. Ensure it clicks securely. Replacement blades are available from Arzum.

Why won't my trimmer turn on?

First, check the battery charge. If the battery is low, charge for at least 30 minutes. If still not working, clean the blade contacts and try again.

How often should I oil the blades?

Oil the blades after each use to maintain performance. Apply one drop of the included oil to the blade teeth and run the trimmer for a few seconds.

Is the Arzum AR5500 waterproof?

Yes, the trimmer is 100% waterproof and can be rinsed under the tap. However, do not immerse it completely in water.

How do I reset the trimmer if it stops working?

If the device stops responding, press and hold the on/off button for 10 seconds to perform a reset. Then charge it fully.

What accessories come with the trimmer?

The box includes the trimmer, 2 comb attachments (3mm and 6mm), a cleaning brush, lubricating oil, and a charging cable.

• Make sure that the voltage indicated on your appliance corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. Our company shall not be held liable for any failures owing to any discrepancy and such failures shall not be covered by the guarantee.

- Your device is for household use only. Do not use outdoors for commercial or industrial purposes. Otherwise, inconvenient uses shall not be covered by the guarantee.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children

without supervision.

• Do not use extension cords that supply improper current in order to prevent damage to your machine.
• NEVER immerse your appliance in water or other liquid and NEVER use near containers containing water or other liquid. You can clean the outside of your appliance using a dry or moist cloth when not in use.

• This appliance can only be used for human hair and beard. Do not use this appliance on animal fur or wigs and on hair made of synthetic material.

CHARGING THE APPLIANCE

• When the product is used for the first time, please fully charge the battery, and battery power should be completely emptied before it is charged for the second time, thereby extending the life of the battery.
• Charge the appliance for 4 hours until it is completely charged before starting to use it for the first time.
• If you do not charge the battery for a long time, it will malfunction that never charge again.
  • Always make sure that the appliance is completely dry before using or charging.
• Your battery has a product life as others. If you use your battery considering the charging rules, its usage life will be increase.
• When the lifetime of the battery has completed, the battery has to be changed only by an Arzum Authorized Service. Please charge and discharge the new battery according to the instructions mentioned before. Batteries of appliances which are not to be used according to be above mentioned instructions will complete its lifetime early.
• Charging takes approximately 90 minutes. The appliance can be used up to 60 minutes after it is charged.
• When "LOW" flashes on the LED display, this means the battery is about to end. "●" is shown on the display after it is completely empty.
• "HIGH" is shown on the display when it is charged again.
• Switch the appliance off.
• Plug the power supply unit into a socket.
• Do not leave the appliance permanently connected to the mains power socket.
  • Always switch the beard trimmer, hair clipper off and unplug the plug from the charger socket after charging is complete.

To extend the lifespan of the beard trimmer battery:

• Do not charge the battery every day. Preferably discharge the battery completely every six months and then charge for 1,5 hours.
• Do not charge the appliance for longer than the recommended charge time. Overcharging reduces the lifespan of rechargeable batteries.
• If the appliance is not to be used for a prolonged period of time, it must be charged for 1.5 hours before putting it away.

CAUTION:

• Risk of corrosive substance EN leakage and explosion. Batteries shall NOT be disassembled, exposed to excessive heat such as that caused by sunlight, fire or similar sources. They shall NOT be short circuited, mechanically damaged, thrown into the fire, put into water, stored with metallic objects, dropped on hard surfaces. In case of battery leakage, avoid any contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
• Risk of serious lesions. Always keep the batteries out of reach of children. If swallowed, the batteries can cause lethal lesions. Therefore, alw keep the batteries out of reach of children. In the event that is swallowed, contact a doctor or the local poison centre immed
• Charge your appliance at room temperature. The appliance shall not be charged at the temperatures under the 0^ and over 45 charging unit may heat during charging the appliance. It is normal while the battery is charging, the adapter may heat.

CONNECTING/DISCONNECTING THE ACCESSORIES

• To insert an accessory (5, 6, 7, 8 or 9): hold the appliance in one hand, position the desired head and push it down with force until you hear a "click".
• To remove an accessory (5, 6, 7, 8 or 9): press the central part of the head upwards using your thumb, then remove it from the appliance.

• Assembly, disassembly and adjustment of U-Blade (10 or 11): Hold the appliance with one hand and place the desired comb by pushing the blade part of metal beard head forward. Push the comb up to remove. You can move the comb back and forth to set the desired cutting length.
• Assembly and disassembly of T- Blade (12-13-14 or 15): Hold the appliance with one hand, place the desired comb by aligning it right on the metal T- Blade and pushing the bottom of the comb. Pull the notch under the comb to remove.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE WARNING:

• Switch the appliance off before changing any accessories.
• DO NOT use this appliance if there are visible signs of damage. DO NOT use the appliance if the blades are damaged or do not work properly.
  • Make sure that your beard or hair is dry and clean, with no residue of hairspray, mousse, gel or other hair products, and then brush in the direction of growth, untangling any knots.

Trimming Your Beard (5-10-11)

Do not move the trimmer too fast if you are trimming your beard for the first time. Use the appliance with smooth movements.

• Position the precision head (5) on the appliance when it is off, making it slide onto the head Slide the comb (10 or 11) at the desired cutting height.
• It is recommended to clean the blade and comb with the provided brush after each use to prevent the accumulation of residual hair.
• You can also wash blades under running water. Make sure blades are dry before replacing on the body.
  • To adjust the cutting length further, use the micro precision button (4).

Tips

• If hair builds-up on the adjustable comb, disconnect it from the appliance and clean by blowing/shaking to remove the hair.
  • Take note of the settings of the cutting length used as a reminder for future use.

Using the Beard Brush (16)

Starting from the top of your beard brush downwards or in the direction of how you would like it to sit.

Using the Hair Shaver Head (6-12-13-14-15)

• As hair grows in different directions, you need to move your appliance in different directions. Designed especially to quickly trim your beard and hair line.
• Use of T- Blade : Place the T- Blade (6) on your appliance while the appliance is off. Insert the Fixed T-blade comb (12-13-14-15) on the blade according to desired length.

Using the vertical nose and ear trimmer (7) Warning :

• Make sure your nostrils are clean.
• Make sure your ears are free of oil and dirt.
- Do not insert the vertical accessory in your ears and nostrils more than 0,5 cm while the appliance is running.
• After applying it on the product, carefully trim any extra nose and ear hair.

Using the Body Shaver Head (9)

This head was designed to remove hair in all areas of your body. After applying it on the product, trim the hair in the concerned areas.

Touching Up

With the minimum cutting height and with the U-blade (5), touch up your sideburns, moustache and edges as you like.

CLEANING AND CARE

• Always disconnect the appliance from the socket before. You can clean the exterior by wiping with a dry or damp cloth.
- Do not use powdered products, abrasive liquid products or solvents such as alcohol or petroleum-based products to clean the appliance.
- NEVER plunge your appliance into water or another liquid. Clean also the main body of your appliance with a dried cloth.

Cleaning Blade Head

• Switch the appliance off and disconnect the power supply unit plug.
• Do not drop the blade head.
• Clean the blade head and the interior of the appliance with the brush provided.
• Insert the lock tab of the blade head in the slot on the appliance and push the head until it clicks into place.
