How long does it take to fully charge the AR5503?

The first charge must be 8 hours. For subsequent charges, also charge for 8 hours to ensure full capacity. Do not exceed the recommended charge time to avoid reducing battery life.

Can I use the trimmer while it is charging?

Yes, the AR5503 can be used while connected to the mains power supply via the included adapter. However, it is recommended to fully charge the battery before first use and avoid leaving the appliance permanently connected to the mains.

How do I clean the blades?

After each use, clean the blades with the provided cleaner brush. For deeper cleaning, you can rinse the blades under running water. Make sure the blades are completely dry before reattaching them to the body. Do not immerse the main body in water.

How often should I lubricate the blades?

Lubricate the blades before each use to ensure smooth operation. Use the oil provided (or recommended) and apply a small drop to the blade edges. Regular lubrication prevents overheating and extends blade life.

What should I do if the blades become hot?

If the blades become hot during use, switch off the appliance and clean the blades with the brush. Apply lubricating oil to the blades. This problem often occurs when blades are not properly lubricated or have hair buildup. If the issue persists, contact Arzum authorized service.

How do I adjust the cutting length?

The AR5503 comes with two adjustable combs: one for 3-7 mm and another for 8-12 mm. Slide the comb onto the U-blade and move it back or forth to set the desired length. Push firmly until it clicks into place. Remove by pulling the comb upward.

Can I use the trimmer on a wet beard?

No, the beard should be dry and clean before trimming. Remove any hair products like gel or mousse. Wet hair can clog the blades and reduce performance.

How do I replace the battery?

The battery should only be replaced by an Arzum Authorized Service. Do not attempt to disassemble the appliance yourself. If the battery no longer holds a charge, contact customer support for service options.

Are the blades washable?

Yes, the blade heads (U-blade and vertical trimmer) can be rinsed under running water. However, the main body and charging socket must never be exposed to water. Always dry the blades thoroughly before reattaching and using.

What is the warranty period?

• Make sure that the voltage indicated on your appliance corresponds with the mains voltage in your home. Our company shall not be held liable for any failures owing to any discrepancy and such failures shall not be covered by the guarantee.

- Your device is for household use only. Do not use outdoors for commercial or industrial purposes. Otherwise, inconvenient uses shall not be covered by the guarantee.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children

• Switch the appliance off and make sure you unplug your appliance before all kinds of interventions on the appliance.
• Do not expose the appliance to temperatures below 0°C or over +45°C and especially to direct sunlight for a long time.

CHARGING THE APPLIANCE

• When the product is used for the first time, please fully charge the battery, and battery power should be completely emptied before it is charged for the second time, thereby extending the life of the battery.
• Charge the appliance for 8 hours until it is completely charged before starting to use it for the first time.
• If you do not charge the battery for a long time, it will malfunction that never charge again.
  • Always make sure that the appliance is completely dry before using or charging.
• Your battery has a product life as others. If you use your battery considering the charging rules, its usage life will be increase.
• When the lifetime of the battery has completed, the battery has to be changed only by an Arzum Authorized Service. Please charge and discharge the new battery according to the instructions mentioned before. Batteries of appliances which are not to be used according to be above mentioned instructions will complete its lifetime early.
• Charging takes approximately 8 hours. The appliance can be used up to 60 minutes after it is charged.
• Switch the appliance off.
• Plug the power supply unit into a socket.
• Your appliance starts charging when charge indicator light turns red. Charging process is completed in 8 hours.
• Do not leave the appliance permanently connected to the mains power socket.
  • Always switch the beard trimmer off and unplug the plug from the charger socket after charging is complete.

To extend the lifespan of the beard trimmer battery:

- Do not charge the battery every day. Preferably discharge the battery completely every six months and then charge for 8 hours.

- Do not charge the appliance for longer than the recommended charge time. Overcharging reduces the lifespan of rechargeable batteries.

- If the appliance is not to be used for a prolonged period of time, it must be charged for 8 hours before putting it away.

CAUTION:

• Risk of corrosive substance EN leakage and explosion. Batteries shall NOT be disassembled, exposed to excessive heat such as that caused by sunlight, fire or similar sources. They shall NOT be short circuited, mechanically damaged, thrown into the fire, put into water, stored with metallic objects, dropped on hard surfaces. In case of battery leakage, avoid any contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
• Risk of serious lesions. Always keep the batteries out of reach of children. If swallowed, the batteries can cause lethal lesions. Therefore, alw keep the batteries out of reach of children. In the event that is swallowed, contact a doctor or the local poison centre immed
• Charge your appliance at room temperature. The appliance shall not be charged at the temperatures under the 0°C and over 45°C. The charging unit may heat during charging the appliance. It is normal while the battery is charging, the adapter may heat.

CONNECTING/DISCONNECTING THE ACCESSORIES

• To insert an accessory (4 or 5): hold the appliance in one hand, position the desired head and push it down with force until you hear a "click".
• To remove an accessory (4 or 5): press the central part of the head upwards using your thumb, then remove it from the appliance.

- Assembly, disassembly and adjustment of U-Blade (6 or 7): Hold the appliance with one hand and place the desired comb by pushing the blade part of metal beard head forward. Push the comb up to remove. You can move the comb back and forth to set the desired cutting length.

USING YOUR APPLIANCE WARNING:

• Switch the appliance off before changing any accessories.
• DO NOT use this appliance if there are visible signs of damage. DO NOT use the appliance if the blades are damaged or do not work properly.
  • Make sure that your beard is dry and clean, with no residue of hairspray, mousse, gel or other hair products.
• Lubricate the blades of the appliance before each use. Clean the appliance blades using the brush provided and lubricate again.

Trimming Your Beard (4-6-7)

Do not move the trimmer too fast if you are trimming your beard for the first time. Use the appliance with smooth movements.

• Position the precision head (4) on the appliance when it is off, making it slide onto the head. Slide the comb (6 or 7) at the desired cutting height.
• It is recommended to clean the blade and comb with the provided brush after each use to prevent the accumulation of residual hair.
• You can also wash blades under running water. Make sure blades are dry before replacing on the body.
• With the minimum cutting height and with the U-blade, touch up your sideburns, moustache and edges as you like.

Tips

• If hair builds-up on the adjustable comb, disconnect it from the appliance and clean by blowing/shaking to remove the hair.
  • Take note of the settings of the cutting length used as a reminder for future use.

Using the vertical nose and ear trimmer (5) Warning :

• Make sure your nostrils are clean.
• Make sure your ears are free of oil and dirt.
- Do not insert the vertical accessory in your ears and nostrils more than 0.5 cm while the appliance is running.
• After applying it on the product, carefully trim any extra nose and ear hair.

CLEANING AND CARE

• Always disconnect the appliance from the socket before. You can clean the exterior by wiping with a dry or damp cloth.
• Do not use powdered products, abrasive liquid products or solvents such as alcohol or petroleum-based products to clean the appliance.
• NEVER plunge your appliance into water or another liquid. Clean also the main body of your appliance with a dried cloth.

Cleaning Blade Head

• Switch the appliance off and disconnect the power supply unit plug.
• Do not drop the blade head.
• Clean the blade head and the interior of the appliance with the brush provided.
• Insert the lock tab of the blade head in the slot on the appliance and push the head until it clicks into place.
