SAFETY MEASURES

Before using the unit, read these instructions carefully. Keep these instructions for future reference.

Use the unit for intended purposes only as specified in this manual. Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.

To avoid risk of electric shock observe the following safety measures.

• Make sure that operating voltage of the unit corresponds to voltage of your mains.
- Power cord is equipped with “euro plug”; plug it into the socket with reliable grounding contact.
- To avoid risk of electric shock do not use adapters for connecting the unit to the mains.
- Do not use the unit in bathrooms. Do not use it near swimming pools or other containers filled with water.
- Do not use the thermopot near heat sources or open flame. Place the thermopot on a flat and stable surface; do not place the unit on the edge of the table.
- Do not place the unit near walls or furniture, the distance between the unit and any surface should be at least 30 cm.
- Do not use the unit outdoors.
• Use only the accessories supplied.
- Do not connect or disconnect the power cord with wet hands, this may cause electric shock or injuries.
- Provide that the power cord does not hang over the edge of a table, or touch hot surfaces.
- When unplugging the unit, pull the plug but not the cord.
- Do not switch the unit on without water.
- Use the thermopot for water boiling only. It is prohibited to heat or boil other liquids in it.
- Ensure that water level is not below the minimal mark and not above the maximal mark.
- Do not refill the thermopot during boiling or right after it.
- Do not fill the thermopot with water directly from the faucet; use a suitable bowl for this.
- Do not drop or tilt the unit.
- Do not leave the operating unit unattended.
- Do not open the lid and do not pour water during boiling.
- Do not rotate the unit when pouring water.
- Close the lid properly, but without excessive effort.
- Keep your hands away and do not bend over the steam release openings, it may cause burns. Do not block the steam release openings with any objects.
- Do not lift the unit by the handle during boiling, as it may cause burns by outgoing

steam. Do not open the lid during and right after water boiling.

  • Do not touch hot surfaces of the thermopot.
  • Be careful while carrying the unit filled with boiling water.
  • Do not carry the thermopot holding it by the lid opening button.
  • Before pouring out the remaining water let the unit cool down, then remove the thermopot lid and pour out water.
  • To avoid risk of electric shock, do not immerse the unit, the power cord and the power plug of the unit into water or other liquids.
  • Disconnect the unit from the mains, if you are not using it or before cleaning.
  • Do not wash the thermopot in a dishwashing machine.
  • Before taking the unit away for storage and before cleaning, unplug it, pour out water and let the unit cool down and dry.
  • For children safety reasons do not leave polyethylene bags, used as a packaging, unattended.

Attention! Do not allow children to play with polyethylene bags or packaging film. Danger of suffocation!

  • Do not allow children to use the thermopot as a toy.
  • This unit is not intended for usage by children or disabled persons unless they are given all the necessary and understandable instructions by a person who is responsible for their safety on safety measures and information about danger that can be caused by improper usage of the unit.
  • Keep the unit out of reach of children and disabled persons. Do not allow them to use the unit without supervision of the responsible adults.
  • Check the power cord and the plug integrity periodically. Do not use the unit, if the power cord, plug, lid or body is damaged.
  • Do not repair the unit by yourself. It may lead to fire, electric shock or injuries. If the unit has damages, apply to the authorized service center.

After unit transportation or storage at low temperature it is necessary to keep it for at least two hours at room temperature before switching on.

  • Unpack the thermopot; remove any stickers that can prevent unit operation.
  • Check the unit for damages; do not use it in case of damages.
  • Before switching the unit on make sure that its operating voltage corresponds to voltage of your mains.
  • Open the lid (8) by pressing the button (5) and pulling it (pic. 1).
  • Fill the thermopot with water using a suitable bowl, do not exceed the maximal water level mark (11) «FULL» (pic. 2).
  • Insert the power cord connector (17) into the socket (14) on the thermopot body, and the mains plug into the mains socket (pic. 3). The thermopot will be switched on in boiling mode; the «BOILING» indicator (18) will light up on the control panel (4).
  • After water starts boiling, the thermopot will be switched to the keep warm mode, the «KEEP WARM» indicator (20) will light up.
  • Pour out water. To do this set the hand pump lock (9) lever to the position «☐», place a suitable bowl under the spout (3) and pour out water pressing the hand pump (6). To switch the electric pump on, press and hold the «WATER DISPENSE» button (21).

Note:

- To remove foreign smells boil and pour out water 2-3 times.

Attention! Be careful when pouring out water to avoid getting burns by steam and hot water.

Usage of thermopot

Open the lid (8) by pressing the button (5) and pulling it (pic. 1).

  • Fill the thermopot with water using a suitable bowl, do not exceed the maximal water level mark (11) «FULL» (pic. 2).
  • Insert the power cord connector (17) into the socket (14) on the thermopot body, and the mains plug into the mains socket (pic. 3). The thermopot will be switched on in boiling mode; the «BOILING» indicator (18) will light up on the control panel (4).

Note: - If you disconnect the unit from the mains and then connect it again, and water in the thermopot is still hot, the unit will be switched on in the keep warm mode (the «KEEP WARM» indicator (20) lights up). To switch the boiling mode on press the «START/RE-BOIL» button (19).

  • After water starts boiling, the thermopot will be switched to the keep warm mode, the «KEEP WARM» indicator (20) will light up.
  • You can switch the reboiling on after water boiling, when the unit is operating in the keep warm mode and the «KEEP WARM» indicator (20) lights on the control panel. Press the «START/RE-BOIL» button (19), the «BOILING» indicator (18) will light up.
  • Ensure that water level is not below the mark (1) and not above the «FULL» mark (11). If the water level is below the mark (1), open the lid (8) and refill the thermopot with water.
  • Pour water out of the thermopot into a suitable bowl, placing it under the spout (3). Water can be dispensed in the following ways:
  • by unlocking and pressing the hand pump (6),
  • by pressing and holding the «WATER DISPENSE» button (21) (pic. 4).

Note:

- The «WATER DISPENSE» button (21) is active only when the unit is connected to the mains.

Attention!

  • Dispense water only after boiling is finished (the «KEEP WARM» indicator (20) lights up).
  • You can lock/unlock the hand pump (6) using the lock (9):

  • After use disconnect the unit from the mains by unplugging the power plug (17) and detaching the power cord from the socket (14).
  • To pour out the remaining water wait till the unit cools down completely and then remove the lid (8). Open the lid (8) by pressing the button (5) and pull it (pic. 1), then remove the lid (8) by pressing and holding the lock (10) (pic. 5).

  • To install the lid (8) back to its place, insert the metal spindle of the lid (8) into the lock (10) groove and release the lock (10).

  • Let the unit cool down and take it away for storage.

Cleaning and care

  • Before cleaning, disconnect the unit from the mains, let the thermopot cool down and pour out water.
  • Clean the thermopot outer surface with a soft damp cloth and then wipe it dry. Do not use metal brushes, abrasives and solvents.
  • Do not immerse the thermopot, the power cord and plug into water or other liquids.
  • Do not wash the thermopot in a dishwashing machine.

Stains on the inner surface of the thermopot

The inner metal surface may change its color under the influence of different water impurities.

  • To remove the stains wet a cloth with citric acid or vinegar and wipe the inner surface of the thermopot flask.
  • To remove the citric acid or vinegar taste boil water and pour it out. Repeat this procedure till the smell and taste vanish completely.

Descaling

  • Scale, appearing inside the thermopot, influences the water taste and disturbs the heat exchange between water and heating element.
  • To remove the scale fill the thermopot with a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two parts water till the maximal level mark (11) «FULL».
  • Plug the unit in, let the mixture boil and leave the unit operating in the keep warm mode for 1 hour.
  • Reboil water pressing the «START/RE-BOIL» button (19).
  • Once the mixture starts boiling and the unit is switched to the keep warm mode, unplug the unit.
  • Let the unit cool down and then pour out the mixture, preliminary removing the lid (8).
  • After descaling boil and pour out clean water several times.

Storage

– Before taking the unit away for storage clean the unit and pour out the remaining water.
