Power connection: Please check if the power source corresponds to the rated voltage specification, which is located on the rear panel of the unit. If it does not match, please consult your dealer or service center. Insert the female terminal of the power cord into the AC outlet, and then connect the power plug to the wall-mount socket in order to get the power source.

Battery power charging: The unit has a built-in rechargeable battery that allows playback of music without AC power connection. When the battery is charging, the charging LED will show in red, which is located on the top panel. The charging LED will turn green after fully charged. The battery will also be charged even if you power off the unit, but with available AC power source. The charging time of the battery is 6-8 hours, and 2~4 hours for playback time, depending on the playing volume level. The unit will power off automatically in case of low battery power; please recharge it for playback.

Important notes: In standby mode (short press the power button on the top panel or by remote controller), the unit will start to charge automatically after 15 minutes due to eco design. In case you need urgent charging, please long press the power button (power off) the unit. The unit can be charged instantaneously while music is playing.

Battery use:

  1. When the battery is out of power or low, please charge it as soon as possible. If it is not charged for a long time, the battery's internal storage capacity will be reduced, which will make it unable to be fully charged or shorten operation time.
  2. If the battery needs to be replaced, please contact your local Blaupunkt after-sales service.
  3. Do not charge the battery for more than 24 hours. Over-discharging or overcharging shortens the life of the battery. Repeated charging and discharging affect the battery life as well as the playback time. Playing time cannot be guaranteed under all conditions. Variable battery life cannot be the basis for a warranty claim.

Notes:

a. Connecting the USB stick via a USB extension cable for playback is not recommended, as it may produce noise or intermittent sound due to audio data loss during transfer. b. Decoding and playback of all MP3/WMA/WAV/FLAC format music is not guaranteed. c. The maximum supported storage device is up to 32GB. d. Some devices of different brands may take a little longer to start playback; please note that this is not a malfunction.

Bluetooth operation

This product includes Bluetooth function, which allows wireless playback of music from other Bluetooth devices (such as smartphones, tablets, etc.).

  1. Press the mode button repeatedly to enter Bluetooth mode. The Bluetooth symbol will flash on the display, indicating that the unit is ready to pair.

Bluetooth TWS (True Wireless Stereo) Playing: The speaker includes TWS function via Bluetooth. If you have two units, switch both to Bluetooth mode. For the first time playing, choose one speaker as the master. Then long press (3 seconds) the mode button on the top panel to pair with the other speaker. A short notice sound will come from the speaker after TWS pairing is successful. The display shows "SLAU" in a steady state on the slave speaker, and "BLUE" flashes on the master's display. Then you can start Bluetooth pairing and operation as usual, but the sound will output from both speakers.

If you switch to another playback mode such as FM, microSD, USB, or Line-in via the master speaker, the two speakers will automatically pair with each other and produce sound from both speakers. During the initial TWS pairing, there may be some brief "sa sa sa..." noise from the speaker, which is not a malfunction.

In TWS playback mode, the master speaker controls the main functions. Some functions are not available on the slave speaker; please note that this is not a malfunction. If you turn off the master speaker, TWS playback will stop.

If you put the speaker in standby or power it off and on, you need to long press (3 seconds) the mode button to re-pair TWS. Long pressing the mode button again will exit TWS playback mode.

To connect and play music from another player or amplifier via wire, follow the steps below.

Use the included audio cable to connect the AUX IN jack on the top panel of the unit, and connect the other end to the line-out or headphone jack of an external player such as an MP3, CD, DVD, mixer, or other audio device. Select and play music on the external player, and the sound will be output from the speaker.

In line-in playback mode, the external player controls the main functions. However, you can also control the volume, mute the sound, and adjust treble and bass on the speaker.

Karaoke

Open the battery compartment of the wireless microphone (included), insert 2 AA size dry batteries (not included) according to the positive and negative polarity symbols inside the compartment, then close the battery door. Push the switch to the ON position to power on the microphone. The speaker will automatically pair with the wireless microphone after a few seconds. Adjust the microphone output volume level properly on the top panel, and then you can start singing. The unit also has a wired microphone input jack; plug a wired microphone (not included) into the 6.5mm jack, then turn on the microphone to sing.

Tips:

a. Microphone volume/echo/treble/bass setting: Short press the menu button repeatedly on the top panel to switch between settings for treble, bass, microphone volume, echo, microphone treble, microphone bass, and guitar volume. Then rotate the volume knob immediately to adjust the corresponding level. Wait a moment to exit the setting. Wireless microphone suggested settings: microphone volume = 9; microphone treble = 8; microphone bass = 2; echo = 4. (Reference only)

b. There may be loud noise from the speaker when you adjust volume, treble, bass, or echo to high levels due to overloading and distortion on the microphone. This is not a malfunction. So please turn these settings up slowly, and if you encounter such loud noise, turn them back down or turn off the microphone and try again.

c. You can use the karaoke function and listen to the music at the same time. If you need to increase the karaoke volume and decrease the background music, you can adjust the separate microphone volume and main volume knobs.

d. Please turn off the microphone when you put it next to the speaker, otherwise it will cause a loud noise.

e. There is a mute switch on the wireless microphone that can silence the microphone output if you select it.

f. This model has a microphone priority function. If you activate it from the remote controller, the karaoke voice will be output from the speaker with priority (covering the background music), and it will automatically resume background music output after you finish singing.
