How do I determine the correct wrist size for the Sensiplast Wrist Brace Manu Active?

Measure the circumference of your wrist just below the wrist bone. Use the size chart: S-M: 15-17 cm, L: 17-19 cm, XL-XXL: 19-21 cm. Choose the size that fits snugly but not too tight.

Can I wear the wrist brace while sleeping?

The brace should not be worn for more than 2-3 hours at a time and a maximum of 6-8 hours per day. It is not recommended for continuous overnight use unless advised by a physician.

How do I clean the wrist brace?

Remove the stabiliser bar before washing. Hand wash the brace at 30°C (cool water) using mild detergent. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or machine dry. Reinsert the stabiliser bar after the brace is completely dry.

What is the stabiliser bar for and can it be removed?

The stabiliser bar provides additional support to the wrist. It is removable and can be taken out if you prefer a softer fit or during cleaning. Follow the instructions in the manual for proper removal and reinsertion.

Is the wrist brace suitable for carpal tunnel syndrome?

Yes, the brace is indicated for carpal tunnel syndrome. It stabilises the wrist and relieves pressure on the median nerve. However, if you experience increased pain, tingling, or swelling, remove the brace and consult a physician.

Intended use

The “Manu Active” wrist brace is intended for private use and was designed as a stabilising brace to effectively support and relieve the wrist.

The ergonomically shaped wrist bars and the elasticated wrist strap stabilise the wrist, the incorporated pelotte (pad) promotes circulation and improves muscle function.

Use as a support for:

1. Inflammatory arthropathies (rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatism)
2. Joint pain due to wear (osteoarthritis)
3. Irritation from overuse
4. Typist's cramp (tendovaginitis)
5. Bruises
6. Pulled muscles (distorsions)
7. Feeling of instability
8. Carpal tunnel syndrome

Do not use – or first consult a physician– for:

1. External injuries
2. Fractures
3. Circulatory disorders
4. More severe instabilities of the wrist
5. Neurological deficits such as paralysis, radiating neuralgia, etc.

Risk of injury!

- If problems occur during use, immediately remove the brace and consult a physician.

• Check the brace for tears and damage before every use.
  • Only use the product in good condition.
• Never apply the brace so tight it impairs circulation.
• Do not wear the brace more than 2 to 3 hours at a time and max. 6 to 8 hours a day.
• Thoroughly and regularly clean the section of skin covered by the brace.
• The skin must be free from gels, grease, salves, oils or similar substances to prevent allergic skin reactions.

Possible side effects

• If problems occur during use (e.g. tingling, pain, swelling), immediately remove the brace!
• Risk of skin irritations! Skin reactions and irritation may occur in isolated cases. Therefore be sure not to exceed the specified maximum application times and thoroughly and regularly clean the sections of skin covered by the brace. If problems or discomfort occurs after all, immediately consult a physician!

Applying the brace

- Pull the bottom end of the brace over the fingers and carefully insert the thumb into the thumb hole (Fig. A). With the brace applied correctly the thumb hold will sit relaxed over the basal joint of the thumb.

The brace should be comfortably firm but not too tight.

- The included elasticated wrist strap can be placed around the wrist brace to fit for additional support (Fig. B).

Stabiliser bar

- The stabiliser bar is inside the product and can be removed from the product as needed (Fig. C).

Note: the explanations/figures are examples for the left and right wrist brace.

Cleaning and care

• Thoroughly wash the brace before first use.
- Remove the stabiliser bar before cleaning (Fig. C).
- It's advisable to wash the brace again every second or third use.
• After washing, thoroughly rinse your brace and reinsert the stabiliser bar after drying.
- Wash separately.

Disposal

Please dispose of the product and packaging in an environmentally friendly manner, separating different materials for recycling as required! Dispose of this item through an authorised disposal company or through your local waste disposal facilities - ask your local authority for information if further guidance is required. Ensure that you comply with all regulations currently in force.

3 years warranty

The product was produced with great care and under constant supervision. You receive a three-year warranty for this product from the date of purchase. Please retain your receipt.

The warranty applies only to material and workmanship and does not apply to misuse or improper handling. Your statutory rights, especially the warranty rights, are not affected by this warranty.
