Portable Bluetooth radio with USB and alarm

Power setting and battery charging.

There is a built-in rechargeable battery inside this unit. Before playing the speaker, please follow the steps below to charge the unit first.

  1. Using the supplied USB cable, connect the DC 5V jack on the rear panel, and connect the other terminal to the supplied USB DC power adaptor. Then plug the DC power adaptor into an AC power source.
  2. During charging, the red LED indicator on the rear panel will turn on, and will turn off after the unit is fully charged (2~2.5 hours charging time).
  3. During battery power playback mode, the unit will stop playing and the display will turn off when the power is too low. Please connect power for re-charging and playing.

Note:

Your battery will last longer if you follow these simple guidelines for charging and storing.

a. For the first charge, charge it for at least 10 hours. The battery will provide the best performance after fully charging and discharging 3 times. It is better to charge the unit after it is completely discharged; otherwise, the battery's lifetime may be affected. b. Recharge and store the unit within the temperature range of 5°C~35°C (40°F~95°F). c. Do not charge for longer than 24 hours. Excessive charging or discharging may shorten the battery's life. d. Due to prolonged charging and discharging, the unit's battery life will be affected and playback time will be shortened. We cannot guarantee consistent playback throughout, and this is not included in our warranty and service. e. During charging, you can play music at the same time.

f. Please do not use it in high humidity and high temperature environments for long periods. g. Please turn off the speaker if it will not be used for a long time.

Unit power on: Slide the power switch to the "on" position on the rear panel to power on the unit, and slide to the off position to power off (display off). Short press the power button on the front panel or remote controller to put the unit in standby or turn it on. Long press the power button on the front panel to turn off the display; long press it again to turn it on. Short press the mode button to switch play modes (FM/Bluetooth/USB/AUX IN) to start operations. If you turn off the unit using the power switch on the rear panel, you cannot power it on with the remote controller because the power is cut off completely.

Time setting: In standby mode, long press (2 seconds) the mode button until the clock digits flash on the display to start the setting. Rotate the volume knob to adjust the hour digits, press the mode button again to skip to minute setting, rotate the volume knob to adjust it, and press play/pause to finish and quit the setting.

Alarm setting: short press the alarm button on the front panel until the clock digits flash to start the setting. Rotate the volume knob to adjust the hour digits, and press the alarm button again to skip to the minute setting. Use the same method as you did for hours to adjust and finish the rest of the settings for minutes/alarm source (FM/USB/Beep)/alarm volume/alarm on/off, and press the alarm button to finish the alarm setting. Long press (2 seconds) the alarm button to turn on or off the alarm setting. Please make sure the alarm clock symbol shows on the display, which means the alarm is on and set up successfully.

Note:

a. The clock and alarm time may reset in case of battery power exhausted and without DC power connection. You may need to set it up again after charging. We recommend keeping DC power connection in order to avoid loss of time. b. When the alarm is activated due to alarm time being reached, short press the power button to cancel the alarm voice, and the unit will wake you up at the same time the next day. c. We suggest setting up the alarm volume over level 15 in order to avoid not being loud enough for alarming. d. The alarm duration time is 1 hour and will turn off automatically.

e. Please make sure the USB device is available and plugged into the unit properly when you choose USB as the alarm source. Otherwise, the unit will switch to beep alarming.

f. You can also set up the clock and alarm by remote controller, which is similar to the operation on the front panel.

g. Please do not cut off the unit power completely (slide the power ON/OFF switch on the rear panel), otherwise, the alarm cannot wake you up. You can long press the power button on the front panel to turn off the display, but the alarm will keep working for you.

Radio operation

Before listening to the radio, please fully extend the antenna and move the unit next to the window in order to get better FM reception. Short press the standby button to turn on/off the radio. Rotate the volume knob to adjust the output volume level.

All-in-one scan (auto scan and save as preset station): long press (2 seconds) the play/pause button to scan and save the available stations automatically, max supported up to 60 preset stations. Short press the previous/next button to select and switch the preset station. Short press the play/pause button can mute the sound, press it again to resume the output.

Auto tune: long press (2 seconds) the previous or next button to auto tune the available station in upward or downward frequency, and play it automatically.

Tuning: Rotate the tune button to adjust the frequency gradually per 0.1MHz; You can also key in the station frequency number by digits button from the remote controller to skip and get the specific station.

Manual memory station: when you tune a favorite station by auto tuning, short press the preset button first, press the previous/next button repeatedly to switch and select the desired preset number, press the preset button again to confirm it. Then the current station will be saved.

Bluetooth operation

This product includes Bluetooth function which can wirelessly play music from other Bluetooth devices (like smartphones, tablets, etc.).

  1. Press the standby button to power on the unit, and short press the mode button to enter Bluetooth mode. The Bluetooth symbol will flash on the display, indicating that the unit is ready to pair.
  2. Enable the Bluetooth function on your device, and search for available devices (please reference your device manual for operation), then check the available Bluetooth devices on the list. Select "BP PP7BT" for pairing, and the Bluetooth symbol will stay steady on the display after successful pairing.
  3. Select and play music from your Bluetooth device, adjust the volume level on your device and the radio side, then the sound will play wirelessly and come out from the speaker.
  4. Press the previous/next button to select the last or next track; press the play/pause button to play or pause playback; long press (2 seconds) the play/pause button to disconnect the current Bluetooth device, but remain ready to pair with a device; long press (2 seconds) the play/pause button again to auto-pair with the last paired Bluetooth device if it is available within working range.

Notices:

  1. All Bluetooth devices are not guaranteed to pair successfully due to different designs and brands.
  2. The best working distance for Bluetooth is within 10 meters without any obstacles in between.
  3. The unit can only pair and work with one Bluetooth device at a time.
  4. In case of an incoming phone call during Bluetooth playback, the music will stop temporarily and resume playback after the phone call ends.

USB playback operation

Before starting USB playback, please insert the USB into the corresponding slot on the rear panel first. The unit can only detect and play the USB when there is an available device in the slot. Slide the power switch to the "on" position on the rear panel to power on the unit. Press the mode button to switch to USB mode, then the unit will detect and play the music automatically. While in USB mode, short press the play/pause button for play/pause control; short press the previous/next button for previous or next track selection; press and hold the previous/next button for fast backward or forward selection and resume play after releasing the previous/next button.

Notes:

a. Please do not use any extended USB cable for connection and playing, because that will affect signal transfer from the device, and intermittent sound may occur.

b. The unit supports MP3 up to 320 kbps and WAV up to 192 kbps. Supports USB with a maximum capacity of 32GB.

c. Short press the repeat button on the remote control to choose repeat mode: repeat one track, repeat folder, repeat all, and random play.

d. Fast selection: press digits 0-9 on the remote control to choose a song. If there are more than 10 tracks saved in the device, input 2 digits; if there are more than 100 tracks, input 3 digits. For example, to play track number 105, press 1, 0, and 5 on the remote control, then 0105 will be displayed and played.

AUX IN/LINE IN and headphone.

Using the supplied 3.5mm audio cable, plug one end into the AUX IN jack on the rear panel, and the other end into another audio player. Power on the unit or press the mode button to switch to AUX mode. Select music from your player device and play. The sound will output from the speaker. You can use the volume up/down, MUTE, play, and pause functions in AUX mode.

In any play mode, if you insert headphones into the headphone jack on the rear panel, there will be no sound output from the speaker, but sound will come through the headphones.

Remote controller operation

1- Power button: press it to put the unit in standby or turn it on. 2- Play/pause button: press it to play or pause music playback in USB/Bluetooth mode. 3- FM scan button: press it to auto scan and save available FM stations. 4- Mode button: press it to switch play mode between FM/Bluetooth/USB/AUX IN. 5- Mute button: press it to silence the sound; press it again to resume the sound.

6,7- previous/next button:

Press it to switch to the last or next track in Bluetooth/USB mode.

Press and hold it to fast-forward or fast-rewind the current track, and return to normal after release in USB mode.

In FM mode, press it to tune the radio frequency gradually by 0.1MHz; long press (2 seconds) to auto tune to the available station in upward or downward frequency.

8,9 - Volume +/- button: press it to adjust the volume level.

10- Repeat button: press it repeatedly to switch playback between repeat one/repeat folder/random/repeat all mode in USB mode.

11- Alarm button: long press (2 seconds) to turn the alarm on/off.

12- Digits button:

Press it to switch and select the relevant track in USB mode.

In radio mode, press it to pick up a preset station; or skip to a specific station if you key in the relevant station's frequency number.

Note: Please remove the battery (CR2025) insulation sheet before using the remote controller; the best working distance is within 5 meters without obstacles in between; please try your best to aim the IR sensor during operation.

Troubleshooting
