How often should I lubricate the air chisel hammer?

Lubricate before each use by inserting 3-5 drops of special compressed air oil into the compressed air connection. If not used for several days, add 5-10 drops before starting.

How do I change the chisel?

Disconnect from the compressed air supply. Turn the tensioning spring off the cylinder by holding its rear arm. Insert the new chisel, slip the spring over it, and turn the spring onto the cylinder thread until it stops. Hold the spring by the front arm while tightening.

What is the maximum operating pressure?

The maximum permitted operating pressure is 6.3 bar.

What accessories are included in the box?

The delivery includes: air chisel hammer, tensioning spring, nipple, oil bottle (without oil), flat chisel, pointed chisel, rivet chisel, parting chisel, operating instructions, and safety information. The needle scaler attachment is not supplied with article number 4139040.

How should I clean the tool?

Disconnect the compressed air supply first. Wipe with a clean cloth or blow with low-pressure compressed air. Use a damp cloth with soft soap; avoid aggressive cleaning agents or solvents. Ensure no water enters the interior.

What safety precautions are required?

Always wear ear-muffs (noise up to 99 dB(A)), a breathing mask (dust), and safety goggles (sparks, splinters). Read and follow all safety regulations in the manual.

What is the warranty period and what does it cover?

The warranty is 24 months from the purchase date. It covers material or manufacturing defects. Not covered: normal wear, damage from improper use, failure to follow instructions, or use in commercial/industrial applications. Wear parts like the clamping spring and consumables like chisels are excluded.

Can this tool be used for commercial or industrial purposes?

No. The tool is designed for DIY/home use only. Using it in commercial, trade, or industrial applications voids the warranty.

What should I do if a part is missing from the package?

Contact the service center or the sales outlet within 5 working days after purchase, presenting a valid bill of purchase. Refer to the warranty table in the manual.

How should I store the tool when not in use?

Store in a dark, dry place at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C. Keep in the original packaging. Disconnect from air supply and lubricate before storage.

3. Proper use

The chisel hammer is a pneumatically operated tool for versatile use. It is suitable for example for making slits, for removing tiles or outdoor plaster, for making holes through masonry, for cutting sheet metal and for removing bolts or rivets.

The equipment is to be used only for its prescribed purpose. Any other use is deemed to be a case of misuse. The user / operator and not the manufacturer will be liable for any damage or injuries of any kind caused as a result of this.

Please note that our equipment has not been designed for use in commercial, trade or industrial applications. Our warranty will be voided if the machine is used in commercial, trade or industrial businesses or for equivalent purposes.

Remember.

Too small a diameter of the hose and too long a hose line will result in loss of power.

Caution!

Residual risks

Even if you use this electric power tool in accordance with instructions, certain residual risks cannot be rules out. The following hazards may arise in connection with the equipment's construction and layout:

1. Lung damage if no suitable protective dust mask is used.
2. Damage to hearing if no suitable ear protection is used.
3. Health damage caused by hand-arm vibrations if the equipment is used over a prolonged period or is not properly guided and maintained.

5. Before starting the equipment

Before you connect the equipment to the power supply make sure that the data on the rating plate are identical to those of the supply voltage.

Disconnect the compressed air supply before performing any cleaning, adjusting and maintenance work.

Air supply:

Via a compressed air source with pressure setting function, e.g. a compressor. Before starting up, please also read the section on care and maintenance.

Performance values of the compressor:

The compressor used should have a tank volume of at least 50 liters.

Setting values for work with the suction spray gun:

Set a maximum working pressure of 6.3 bar at your compressed air supply.

5.1 Lubricating the tool

Each time before starting and during prolonged operation:

• Insert 3-5 drops of special compressed air oil into the compressed air connection (5) (not included in delivery)
• Let the equipment run briefly so that any surplus oil is blown out.

5.2 Fitting/removing the attachable chisels (Fig. 3)

Plug the required chisel into the mount of the chisel hammer. Slip the tensioning spring (4) over the chisel. Turn the tensioning spring onto the thread of the cylinder as far as the stop. As you do this, hold the tensioning spring by the front arm.

To change the chisel you must first disconnect the equipment from the compressed air source. Turn the tensioning spring off the cylinder of the chisel hammer by holding it by its rear arm. The chisel can now be changed as described above. The chisel shaft should be lubricated with a little normal lubricating grease from time to time.

5.3 Fitting the needle scaler attachment (Fig. 4)

To fit the needle scaler attachment, screw it tightly onto the thread of the cylinder.

6. Operation

6.1 Connecting to a compressed air supply

• Connect the nipple (5) to the quick-lock coupling of a compressed air hose (the hose is not supplied).
  • Note the maximum permissible operating pressure of the equipment.

6.2 Working with the chisel hammer

Move the chisel hammer towards the object you want to work on. Actuate the trigger lever (1) to start the chisel hammer.

7. Cleaning, maintenance and ordering of spare parts

Disconnect the compressed air supply from the equipment before performing any cleaning work.

7.1 Cleaning

• Keep all safety devices, air vents and the motor housing free of dirt and dust as far as possible. Wipe the equipment with a clean cloth or blow it down with compressed air at low pressure.
  • We recommend cleaning the equipment immediately each time after use.
• Clean the equipment regularly with a damp cloth and some soft soap. Do not use cleaning agents or solvents; these may be ag-

gressive to the plastic parts in the equipment. Ensure that no water can get into the interior of the equipment.

7.2 Maintenance

Warning!

Disconnect the equipment from the compressed air supply before you carry out any maintenance or cleaning work.

Compliance with the maintenance instructions listed here will help this quality product provide you with a long service life and trouble-free operation.

Regular lubrication is essential for your equipment to work properly for a prolonged period of time.

Regularly check the speed and the vibration level by simply observing the tool.

Note: Use environmentally friendly compressed air oil if you want to operate the equipment outside the workshop.

The following lubrication options are available:

Lubrication by mist oiler

Connect a mist oiler between the compressed air source and the equipment (not supplied, available at retail stores)

By hand

Each time before using the compressed air tool insert 3-5 drops of special compressed air oil into the compressed air connection. If the compressed air tool has not been used for several days you must insert 5-10 drops of special compressed air oil into the compressed air connection before switching on.

Store your compressed air tool only in a dry room.

Other maintenance

There are no other parts inside the equipment which require maintenance.

Excluded from the guarantee are:

• Wearparts
• Damage cause by too much operating pressure.
  • Damage caused by non-conditioned compressed air.
• Damage caused by improper use or unauthorized intervention.

8. Disposal and recycling

The equipment is supplied in packaging to prevent it from being damaged in transit. The raw materials in this packaging can be reused or recycled. The equipment and its accessories are made of various types of material, such as metal and plastic. Never place defective equipment in your household refuse. The equipment should be taken to a suitable collection center for proper disposal. If you do not know the whereabouts of such a collection point, you should ask in your local council offices.

9. Storage

Store the equipment and accessories in a dark and dry place at above freezing temperature. The ideal storage temperature is between 5 and 30°C. Store the electric tool in its original packaging.

The reprinting or reproduction by any other means, in whole or in part, of documentation and papers accompanying products is permitted only with the express consent of the Einhell Germany AG.
